Definitely seems like a bug they missed with the rest of the OP pets being more noticable. I do wish the abomination itself would work that way though even if it has to be a higher tier.

it wouldn't work this way for one more reason, besides being OP af: the leveling progression would be inconsistent with the rest of the game. Leveling pets usually multiplies their ability 2x and 3x, but if it ate more abilities AND leveled them up, the power progression would be 4x and 9x
