D'Angelo Russell was a Major NO Show in the playoffs so just adding any halfway decent player will be a Huge upgrade. Much to the displeasure of Non Laker Fans. I also assure everyone that once Russell leaves, he will go back to putting up good numbers on a TEAM that can't compete for anything. I never understood why the Lakers ever brought him back.

@mr.joshua6818 Demar is a big pick up for a lot of reasons. One big one is that he can create for others, something DLO isn’t good at. You can’t trust Dlo with the ball in his hand in any capacity. He’s a good backup guard but not a great starter. Demar pairs better with AD and Lebron because he’s had to be that guy multiple times even if he didn’t win a championship. This brings him back to somewhere he wants to be at and with AD and LBJ he’ll be a lot more successful.

Here would be my trade package which I believe would work. Lakers get DeMar Derozan (21M) Nikola Vucevic Dorian Finney Smith Bulls get Rui Hachimura Gabe Vincent Jaxson Hayes Nets get DeAngelo Russel Cam Redish 2nd round picks distributed as needed from Lakers And in this setup, lebron, Derozan, and Austin share "pg" duties Starting lineup Austin Reaves DeMar Derozan Lebron James Anthony Davis Nikola Vucevic With key reserves JHS Max Christie Dalton Knect Vando Christian Wood This would also free up 2 roster spots for the lakers.

If we don’t get Demar or Levine ima lose my sh!t.

What does Demar bring to the lakers that will help them ???

It could easily be done in a sign and trade. We send them Hood-Schifino and Gabe Vincent for Demar in a 3/4 year contract between the 16-20million dollar range. Demar averaged 24 ppg last season, obviously he won’t get as many touches with the Lakers but he will be able to get between 16-20ppg in the next 3 years which is more than fair price for the production your getting as a third scorer. Suns are paying Beal around 50mil per year who’s their 3rd scorer. Celtics are not being shy with their contracts either. Demar would help this so much on a night to night bases, it makes sense for all parties so just make it happen
