This is a super quick AND FREE tutorial for Final Cut Pro X, but it will also work in any basic editing software on how to add artificial halation to your digital videos to get that nice film look. Halation/ Film Bloom is that soft glow that often shows up in the highlights of the film, and it is one of the most iconic aspects of the film. This is a super simple method that is COMPLETELY FREE and doesn't require any extra plugins or anything like that because that's stupid, and you shouldn't have to pay for stuff like that.
