@@ThomFoolery1 yeah, the people who did the production were clearly sadists. Everything about the mood of the video is so jazzy at the beginning, leading one into the vocal ambush. The lighting is brilliant, and I love how they subtly echo the black and white costuming in Star Wars with the ANH poster on the wall.

This song was from the album "King of Everything" which was released before the drummer in this video was part of the band. Vlad (the drummer) added such a different sound to this song they made this video to showcase their new drummer. It's become a reaction channel mega hit because of Tatiana's extreme vocal switch. The whole band is just amazing. Eugene (Bass), Roman (Guitar), Vlad (drums) and Tatiana... from this point you can just throw a dart at a board with all their songs on it and you can't go wrong. They are Ukrainian, and during pandemic times they have actually increased their popularity tenfold (at least!). Careful, these guys will become an obsession quite easily!

I've watched a lot of reaction videos for this song but with yours I find myself the most.. the sensations are the same in the emotional uplifting up to the enthusiastic end as with me back then. the song is an emotion machine and increase to the end... I love that ! many greetings from Germany .

Tati can growl better then most male vocalist can. It’s so smooth and clean too. Not easy at all.

Loved you reaction. They do a little layering here and there. No fiddling with her voice though. It's all her. Fully self taught growling, clean singing and English.

So now that you've discovered Jinjer (like you, I'm a recent discoverer who is rather angry that it took me so long ....), you need to add Spiritbox to your repertoire. Very similar to Jinjer. The complete "The Mara Effect Pts 1-3, live version" is a 16 minute masterpiece. Just try to figure out the time signatures in that thing! Or pick any of the other Spiritbox songs. They engineer the lead singer's voice in studio to be particularly angelic and airy (e.g. "Blessed Be"), and then she hits you with her scream. (she's great live too--doesn't really need the studio augmentation, but its awesome.)

They are the real deal. I have seen them twice and actually had the pleasure of meeting them once. All are amazing musicians that are second to none. They have ruined me for most other bands, the way your true love ruins you for all other women. They have an incredible backstory too, growing up in war-torn Ukraine and being separated for a good amount of time from their families and not being able to return home. See anything by them live to be blown away. I suggest "Pit of Consciousness Live Kyiv" for their best performance second only to "Perennial Live Wacken." Their in-studio stuff is amazing but they are meant to be live. When you get to the end of the rainbow, check out "Home Back" which is their deepest and most revealing song about their lives in Ukraine. Please go dow the rabbit hole. You gained a subscriber with this one. Great reaction!!! Keep it coming and please.... MORE JINJER. Thank you and keep it up. Dive deep.

Awesome man! Truly one of a kind and talented band, the four of them! I´ve been a metalhead all my life and it´s been a decade or more since a band blew me away like this! They really are that special! Dig in, my two cents: "Perennial" live at Wacken 2019 is a blast and a good showcase of what they can do live and "Teacher, Teacher" official is a masterpiece! Great vid!

Your reaction was nearly identical to mine. I've been in a musical depression for a while but a few a months ago I found Jinjer and it seemed like there was hope in the world for new and actually exciting music. I've long been a fan of controlled chaos, speaking of which, have you met our meta lord, Mike Patton? He held sway until Tatiana came along. Man of a thousand voices he is so.......look him up dammit!

You really nailed this reaction! Wow!! Love your enthusiasm. And loved your analysis of Tatiana, the band, the unpredictable nature of the song with the different parts and varied time signatures. I agree - the last minute is so intense it either gives you goosebumps or makes you sweat, or both.

just one more comment, thomas: you might not have heard from susanne sundfør. BUT! she is so amazing! i think, more people should see and react to especially this one. if you want to be ripped apart by a song, "when the lord" is a must! DamienHurts commented it in perferct words: "Wow, I wasn’t prepared for the waves of emotion that would crash over me, engulfing me in tears. I wept within the first minute. What a sublime portrait of a woman, thank the lord that her story lives on, and her fantastic pictures. Her self portraits are so haunting, so exquisite and overflowing with emotional intent. Susanne’s song perfectly encapsulates the meaning of the source material."

Welcome to the Jinjer train. I have been a metal head for 30+ years (49 years old) and this is one of the few "new" bands that gives me hope for the future of metal. As a metal head, this song is good, but not one of their best. It is generally recommended to reactors for the shock value, most of which are not metal heads. I will not waste my or your by time giving you recommendations as the other commenters have already done that quite well and you really can not go wrong with anything you find from them on YT. Enjoy the journey, and I look forward to sharing it with you.
