Ren was signed to Sony but he got Lymes disease from the tick bite. It attacks your body/mind. Very hard to diagnose. He was diagnised with mind related illnesses (all in your mind). The meds he was put on just buried him in mind controlling chemicals. Meanwhile he was in bed for 23 hrs a day. Couldnt cope with a lot of foods so lost a lot of weight. His body has been damaged by the Lyme disease which is why he is in hospital now. Sony dropped him because he was too ill to make music. The Big Push with Ren were invited to some major festivals in the UK this year but he is going to be in hospital for most of it. Really hope the treatment works so he can share his music without all the pain.

Here is the way I see what Ren is saying - even though he is sick (bitten by a tick) Lyme disease - the system failed him by misdiagnosing him for so long - telling him his mind was making him sick (that something is wrong with him mentally, not physically) so he turns (or throws) the tables at them and says - you say I'm sick, something is wrong with me - you (the system) is sick, you're the hypocrite - you're telling something is wrong with me, while the whole world is sick and going insane by consuming all the resources and bleeding the Earth out. The system is so good at commoditizing anything and everything that even they'll commoditize his illness. When he says "a counterintelligence is a sight to behold" and "In the name of progress we jump off the precipice" I think he is referring to the fact that we know that this system is wrong and is failing and still we commit, still doing it. And he doesn't shy away from saying - "While I’m bleeding, I’m the reason Cause I’m doing the same". We all are. We are stuck in the system that is raping and depleting the Earth and as long as we play the game, we're are a part of it. Now you should go the Money Game 1 and 2. I think it goes hand in hand with Sick Boi. You'll understand what he is saying better. I would suggest do Money Game 2 and then 1. I think it's better that way.

I have chronic pain (fibromyalgia) , arthritis, bulging discs , depression / adhd. This song resonates with me so much. I pay so much money seeing specialists who if I'm lucky spend 5 minutes in the room during my monthly appointments. But I can't live /function without the medicine/treatments. Love Ren so much for not just his talent but because he gives a voice to those who suffer from similar issues as himself. Love how even though you guys seem new you're both authentic and try to understand his deeper meaning in the songs. Keep being real and the real ones will stick by you. Be strong and be yourselves. I think half way through the song he starts talking about the bigger picture. We are bleeding the earth and he is (we are) part of it- "we're the virus". The same in Money Game - "we're all part of this old money game".

Ren signed for Sony but he was dropped by them because of his illness ,,Ren has obviously realised how easy you can be dumped by the industry for not being able to give them what they crave ..this is my own opinion ..think Ren is on an NF way to the top ..let us hope he gets there and like NF as an independent artist mocks and exposes the industry for what it is .. who knows ?

NF is signed to one of the biggest labels in the world (Capitol, now part of the Universal Music Group) since 2014. His debut album was independent but he's been part of the industry for years now. He makes music about going against the record industry, whilst being funded by the record industry! Ren is a true independent and is unlikely to be swallowed up by the music industry after being dropped by Sony when he was ill. However, I don't think anyone would begrudge him signing some kind of deal for distribution and promotion provided he was able to retain artistic independence. NF probably has some artistic independence, but the problem is, once a label has their claws in, you are never truly independent, and it's also notoriously difficult to ditch a label once they've got your signature in blood. Ask yourself whether NF's label would have allowed him to release a record like Hi Ren, and the answer would be no.

Another cool review but forget about reading the words I think (put subtitles on to catch more even tho sometimes they can be shit), it doesn't matter if you catch it all first time or not, you two are propa funny tho it's cool!!!

That last part of the song can also be taken as him calling out the entire world for all of the problems that exist in the world and how we just bleed the Earth dry of all its resources until there's nothing with no back-up plan. And when he says I'm the reason we're the reason, he's referring to all of us being part of the problem whether we want to be or not. At least that's my interpretation.

Ren was having symptoms for so long and doctors claimed he as being depressed and having anxiety - giving him medication he didn't actually need, and basically made his true disease- Lyme disease- caused by being bit by a tick! Which has been untreated for so long and has caused havoc on his entire body 😢 But, Ren is finally getting extreme treatment and will come out better!

The pig is supposed to signify people that arm themselves without realizing, Harm themselves without intent. Eventually leading to suicide.

Then part 2 is about the world how hypocritic it is telling others to be sick and insane while the whole system is set up totally insane. I'm not sure but Ren uses this pig mask through out MANY videos in Hunger the pig mask is posted with its head on a stake.
