The label she’s been with since 2005 sold her masters and she claims she wasn’t given the chance to buy them herself before they were sold. The person they were sold to also had a bad history with Taylor so instead of jumping through hoops and fighting icky people in the industry for her masters, she decided to make them worthless by re-recording the albums + adding songs that were cut from the original And now she owns the masters to those re-recordings.

Not all of it is perfectly relevant/applicable today, but it's still a good read for people stuck in that mindset Or just Google the terms "nice guy" and "nice guy syndrome" Maybe also try some therapy, they'll help you break out of this mental trap youre in.
