Just recieved the knife myself. And as already thought, it's exactly the same as the Sachse. The Sachse is using the button lock pen as a stop pen. And it's not very different with this knife. You could actually remove that additional "stop pen" and it still works as the Sachse. Yes, it might leave a small mark. But it can never go any deeper then the button lock pin. Which grabs into the knife blade. So don't know why they came up with this. Probably a little bit extra sturdy. Or it might be a way to divide the force a bit on the button lock pen. But it's not going to be a major deal.

Civivi /WE/Sencut are truly killing it rn, esp with button locks !

You should grind it down and test it!

By the time you sharpen to stop pin it will be time for a new knife probably

Seems it's just working the same as on the Sachse, there the flipper tap reaches in into button-lock bar, which also acts as an stop pin. Looks as it has the same construction. And maybe the extra pin serves a bit as a stop pin. Or maybe it was just a stupid placement of extra support. But when designed as the Sachse, as which it looks like, then the blade would never be able going beyond the button lock pin, so damage due to the extra pin would have been minimalized. But people could have checked it better if that guy just stopped flicking the blae for a moment and just giving a closeup of the "mechanics". It's almost impossible to check with that stupid continues knife flicking.

The angle you sharpen at doesn't matter in terms of when you would remove steel from the choil and affect the closed position.

He is talking about the edge bevel being wider, that means that the edge itself would contact the stop pin sooner.

@@LoLo-qq9uh Plus, the lower the angle, the more material you’re removing when sharpening so you’ll get there sooner that way too.

I have the Sachse, great knife with great lock mechanism. Verry addictive to play with all the time. 👍

A great looking knife and a solid user but that stop pin placement is a serious deal breaker for me or anyone who buys this and intends on using it as a main carry. Too many other great budget knives out there to choose from that doesn't have this problem. At this price point its definatly a user piece vs a safe queen so if you can only get a few sharpenings out of it why bother. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.
