Oh saw that you commented too now. The same bugs were applied to Seer, New castle and Horizon pre season 20, and got fixed in 20. Seems like Alter got introduced with this aswell now.

I'm going to assume Alter's weight is actually different than most legends, because she needed to be lifted from the floor on ceiling breaches, which is likely easier with less weight. This was likely given advanced logic down the line, but I could see myself using this during development. Usually a simple fix for any surface clipping would be to reduce the character's weight & add a force in the direction of the nearest standing surface(this increases the amount of time the engine has to detect a surface to stand on).

I remember i got lifeline in ranked cause someone else took octane and they picked the double stim damage over the double ult upgrade

I have just tried something maybe I am tripping , but you go even further if you stim aswell with the same combo so flick back jump and stim at the same time

a few things to note after my testing is that its based off of the direction you were looking at while taking the jump pad, so if i strafe 90 degrees and do it, it fails. but if i strafe 90 degrees and then face my initial direction is does it (albeit a lot less). i'll reply to this comment if i find out some more

alright my current theory is that the for the new pad it, when used in the intended manor it stops all the momentum of your current direction and converts it into the direction you are holding forward into. but backwards input does the exact opposite. it keeps your momentum going in that direction, but then also tries to convert it into the direction your momentum is acting in. therefore doubling it.

what i did was i just put a second backward input for me "X" on Keyboard its way more constistent for me i havent missed a single one with that but i think its just preference

This bug is so simple and fun, I'll be playing more Octane until it's patched.

Lets see how long this will last before they nuke something else thats fun for the game.

I believe alters hitbox/physics are bugged slightly, more so animation/physics lag. Her anims bug out in kill cams, ive had instances where things just dont make sense when playing alter (buggy physics) and the discovery in this video with the jump pad is making things add up Could be far fetched.

Question, can we use it on console or is it only available for PC?

You know that bug i reported about (new castle, horizon, seer, double jump on jumppads were weaker than the rest of the legends) yeah that bug is now on Alter. First time i jumped with Alter i instantly noticed it. Please look into this. Like i said i think it might be conected to why its easier to do this glitch with Alter and only her.

if your keyboard sofrware allows it, you can just bind a "macro" (thats how it's called on hyperX) to any key which presses it pefectly at the same time for you, for a 100% success rate

@maddokrimm was first person on console to do it

you should make the first 8-10 seconds of this as a short i promise from a gen z prospective that would be so funny edit you could def make it longer but engagement might go down as those first 10 seconds are peak

the fact its easier on alter................. makes me want to know why. and what else can be done.

This game is such spaghetti.

Respawn should hire someone like MS and together with some good programmers they should revamp all of the movement tech code. For example get rid of superglides but replace them with something similar that everyone can pull off. Every character's model can be updated to wear booster packs to make it seem halfway plausible.
