Nicely done! Beautiful demo footage.

The gyro stabilization works only when the camera gets the metadata from the lens meaning the focal length of the lens. If the lens is a vintage one or manual and doesn't have pins to transfer info to the camera you will have to manually tell the camera what focal length the lens is. Well made video overall,great job!

great vid cam. I've had this in my cart for weeks now and can't find myself pulling the trigger. the image is undeniable. I just find the whole system lacking so much. I would have liked to see some amazing rolling shutter speeds and internal nd.. we love the form factor of just grab and go if you want to. probably just wait. what they did with the Ursa 12k pro and the cropless resolutions is what they should have done here too. 3k or more usd would be fair

artificial lights will help

I've read that you get the most dynamic range at 1250 ISO, so that's the best low-light ISO of this camera. 1250 shifts the range towards the shadows but you lose some information in the highlights, so there's a tradeoff. It will only clip the top of highlights. won't affect skin tones.

Great video 👍🏻 I’m having the same issue with the gyro stabilization also using a viltrox adapter. It’s really disappointing, because like you mention, all the other cameras work perfectly when it comes to using the gyro data. I’ve been in contact with the BMD support team but no apparent solution yet. You mention that you got some improvements with more testing, what exactly did you do to make it better?

Thanks! I updated the camera firmware and ran the gyro calibration but it’s still pretty hit or miss as to whether it works after more testing. Hopefully they find a way to improve it!

I dont think I could live without the built in ND filters on the 6K Pro. Until Blackmagic comes out with a more substantial update, Ill be holding off for now.

@@oliverb5798it depends on what you mean by “crop in”. 60fps is available in the 6K 2.4:1 mode. But it’s not a crop in, in the same way as the crop for 1080P 120fps. 3:2’s max speed is 36fps. 6K DCI is 48fps.

I have been using my pocket 4K with the .64 SB and it's been awesome! I've been looking for a reason to upgrade, but I don't think this is it. Not a big fan of full frame, but I have been eyeing those internal ND's & the flip screen for a while. From what I've seen, the image is not much better than the pocket 6K Pro.

Yeah the Pocket 4K and SB combo is incredible, I still use it regularly. I will say this camera is a beautiful upgrade from the P4K, especially battery life, flip out screen and the cheaper media but you could be better off going straight to an URSA 12K if you feel the need to upgrade.

@@CamVFilm that has actually been my plan. The only camera I think would be worth an upgrade from the pocket would be the Ursa 12k. I'm satisfied with the image coming from the pocket 4K, so the only thing that could really make me upgrade would be internal ND's and better framerates at higher resolutions. The only thing that holds me back a bit from the Ursa 12k is no dual iso :( if it had that it would be a no-brainer, especially with the OLPF included in the newest version.

@@MtZionMediaPro Yeah that feels like one thing really missing from the Blackmagic lineup right now is a camera with decent low light, I love the URSA though, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with one!

13:10 you mention you can’t shoot B-Roll on an FX3 you mind expanding? Is it just the image quality you’re not a fan of in that sense?

Sorry! Probably my pronunciation, I said BRAW not B-Roll! The FX3 has a great image, used it once or twice on different projects but I just prefer the image from Blackmagic.

Why why why would anyone want to spend 10s of thousands of dollars more on a RED?! Please explain to me.. the difference in quality!

Returning my 6k full frame... Buying an fx6 instead. Behind the cmos smearing.. the unusably bad rolling shutter refresh rate, issues im having with hdmi... Its just not worth it. I need a solid camera that works, has better ergonomics, and at this point... Has name recognition.. lets be honest, blackmagic isnt a rentable camera

I rent for bigger projects. Mostly Venice 2, sometimes mini LF or alexa35. For smaller projects I use and rent my own gear to the production.. and I also shoot my own personal KZread projects on my camera
