@@zeed8728 SPOILER: Hisoka helped Chrollo get his nen back so they can fight. Chrollo ran around collecting nen abilities perfect for murdering Hisoka, 2 of which came from Phantom Troupe members. Chrollo kills Hisoka in Heavens Arena but Hisoka revives himself with post mortem nen. Afterwards Hisoka vows to take this more seriously and he then kills the members who gave Chrollo their powers (Kortopi and Shalnark). Chrollo now pissed is hunting Hisoka. The entire Phantom Troupe is chasing Hisoka to the Dark Continent as he is a board the Whale 1 ship.

This is the first HxH video we've seen from Liam that wasn't during a hiatus. Congratulations!!

The octopus from the Chimera ant arc was able to do the same thing with his tentacle and turning it into an air gun. It is the first time we have seen a human do it though.

@@Hargazer I mean not necessarily. Ikalgo is a natural manipulator. His first ability was turning his tentacles into a gun which he could fire bullets from. Both of which are conjured and there were 0 conditions for activation beyond fewer tentacles. Bullets even with a small amount of nen aura can be lethal. Against the cowardly wolf ant he purposefully missed vitals to avoid killing him indicating that a single bullet may have been able to kill. You also have to consider the for Ikalgo, he trades 2 of his 8 tentacles. Thats not a significant restriction compared to 1 of 2 arms. It's possible that with additional conditions and using a greater proportion of your "arms" a more powerful ability could be developed. Also baring in mind Ikalgo was a natural manipulator not conjurer. The only ability that required a condition was the flea air gun which required him to be controlling a corpse first to conjure the fleas. The corpse control was arguably his main ability given that it also allowed him to use the nen abilities of those he controlled.

@@plantcrone9662 He shot actual bullets into Werefin that pierced his armor. He only used Flea bullets on Killua. Nen-less Rammot took a rock and the Meteor City residents said bombs didn't work on Ants with Nen. Normal bullets were also useless vs Yonju's team. Ikalgo is dangerous but his gun is secondary to his takeover ability. He obviously doesn't have the range without a host either.

Weaponizing cats and pidgeons is VERY Togashi. it is the epitome of function over form.

@@amuroray9115 Yes, and the 4th prince is like King Crimson. Kurapica is like a VERY upgraded Hermit Purple. And probably more coincidences/inspirations. Edit: Kurapica, not Killua. I would also compare Killua to Red Hot Chili Peppers because of lightning powers, but I honestly think that's a coincidence.

Hisoka is an integral part of HxH. I like the analogy that he is a joker just like in card games where he can be anyone / anything such as an ally, foe, teacher, and many more. Also imagine this hunt for Hisoka and Togashi just drops a chapter where he is just basking somewhere but not on the Black Whale lmao

This was the perfect comeback chapter, honestly. An action-packed chapter that's also packed with new Nen mechanics and our beloved internal monologue and investing us into Hinrigh. Togashi never missed a beat and it shows how well planned this series is.

@@SSIMS Not sure if trolling but... Boring?? What?? This arc is incredible and so detailed. So many plot holes being filled in, so many storylines getting completed, and so many new stories and nen abilities being unveiled. Also, hate to break it to ya bud, but Gon and Killua were never the main focus for Togashi in hunter x hunter. If he gets bored of something he drops it. We may see Killua when they arrive at the dark continent, because Alluka is supposedly from the dark continent itself, but Gon has no nen and he's on the backburner. Kurapika and Ging Freecs are our two "main" characters for now and i'm all for it.

conjuring something in your body has the added benefit of not requiring manipulation as it would be connected to your nervous system. lets not forget that conjurations sucks as much with manipulation as with enhancement. Conjuration is kind of an alternate emission but should be more limited. conjured objects are nen, so, if they detach from your aura, then it is using emission, which should be awful. the use of manipulation and enhancement is suppose to work really bad with conjuration, and transmutation is kind of forgotten to conjurers. bisky is the best conjurer. kurapika is useless without emperor time: thumb? enhancement, pinky? manipulation/emission, prison? manipulation/enhancement, the truth detector? who the f knows, likely manipulation (as it acts as a meta-mind reader which happens to be in the lines of specialist, emission and manipulation, and we know that is not a specialist ability). the chains and their appendages are the only part that is conjurated and help to create the gimmick of using In, but that is it.

Regarding the "conjuration of an object using your own body" at 4:12, Tsubone's "Rider's High", the thing that lets her turn into a vehicle, is categorized as conjuration as well, so there is precedent to that.

@@drakobby6418 Those are magical beasts. Some of them made their way over with humans like the kiriko which are the shapeshifting navigators from the exam or the monsters in the forest. Totally different but very similar lol Hxh naming conventions are wild, a lot of it is down to how individual parts of words are pronounced.

I really love hinrigh’s usage of biohazard. The ability itself is already creative, but the decision to forego simpler methods like conjuring a tiger and instead using the animals to manipulate items however he pleases is so much more entertaining to see

The important part is that they retain their original function. Imagine pulling the pin on a grenade that’s also a rat and sending it to sneak up on the enemy. Locked door? Bring it to life and make it unlock. Need an object to be tough? Turn it into an armadillo or something tough.

I think what I love about his power, is that it can be seen as a perfect misdirection for even an experienced Nen user. When seeing all the pigeons, one would first assume that Henry was a Manipulator. Of course, the moment one of his animals does something, the the jig would be up, but that element of surprise is a obviously a great asset.

The panels of him changing the camera were brilliant because it implies so much about how his power works. The cat was roughly the same size as the camera and it was completely surrounded by his aura before it was transformed. I would bet that means he can only change objects into animals with a similar size or mass and the larger the object the more nen he'll need to use to envelope and transform it. The two other types of animals he's created have been a comparable size to the original objects as well.

The long haired guys nen ability reminds me of giornos stand ability in JJBAGW, where he gives life to inanimate objects, like turning money into butterflies, wallets into frogs, bullets into parts of human organs, this nen ability is awesome, not only can he turn objects into animals and control them, but can also keep their original abilities, I mean a snake machine gun is scary as hell

Honestly, I think I might need to reread the dark continent arc from the beginning. I couldn't even remember these guys were after Hisoka... or why they're after Hisoka... or who they even are... But still, it's great to see HxH back. I'll catch up soon

I had such a hard time remembering what the hell had happened in prior chapters. What makes it harder is that this is the most complex arc with the most characters and the most walls of text just to make it even more difficult to remember

Biganduffno is on of my favorite characters of this arc, and that’s partly because his name is so fun to say.

Man the fact that I loved all 3 of these characters in the spam of this chapter it might be just the hxh back high talking but I loved there dynamic i hope those 3 make it out of this arc alive

Man even though I read the last couple chapters before this I forgot about Morena's motivations so I was right there with Hinrigh trying to figure out what her goals were.

You are not wrong about the chapters being planned years ago, this is the author comment of Togashi for chapter 390 released in November 2018 “The storyboards for the next ten chapters are already done, so I'll get started again soon depending on various circumstances such as my health.”

we already see a character that use conjuration combined with his own body. you are forgetting about Tsubone. she is a conjurer that can transform her body in any vehicle, but needs the aura of other people as "gasoline" or "energy". and now Togashi show us a conjurer that can transform his hands in any weapon.

I just keep these HxH videos on repeat all day at this point. I've hyped myself up to the point of being obsessed and Liam is the absolute goat 🐐 with his videos.

really love the hunt for hisoka,compared to earlier actually liked henry's(someone hasn't seen the birds if your underestimating pigeons.) inner thoughts on morena & that color spread of gon & yusuke(wish instead of a pointless live action version we saw a crossover/love to see them on a team in the next shonen jump crossover.) with that statue creature in the background.

I'm sure the size of the object plays a part into what animal he can make from it. So head have to touch something bigger for a tiger but it also would have to be useful enough to partly transform back into that object for maximum effectiveness.

I definitely get where you’re coming from with the part about characters speculating. A couple chapters before the hiatus, an entire chapter was dedicated to the first prince and his forces, the second prince’s forces, and Basho all speculating as to what’s really going on with Halkenburg and the self inflicted death of one of Benjamin’s soldier, with all three fractions coming to incorrect conclusions, when we, the audience know that the incident was Halkenburg figuring out exactly what his new power is and what it can do, yet none of them seem foolish for the conclusion they reach, and rather than wasting time, it creates narrative possibilities for the future. The fact that the first and second princes’ forces believe Halkenburg’s power to be a nen curse or some kind of indirect threat presents an opportunity for Halkenburg to exploit that belief and the truth that his power is actually a fairly simple direct attack.

Pigeon cuffs are an irony to how pigeons most of the time means freedom.

I’m in Australia and this came out an hour ago at 11:30 for me and yet as soon as I saw it I chose to sit here and watch this at midnight because I love your videos and togashi

@@SSIMS Nanika doesn't need to grant wishes to come out anymore due to Killua being told to not lock Nanika away. Post Death Nen is a new threat, like a witch's dying curse, meaning that even killing a nen user might result in being hurt/etc.

@@osmanzubeir9701 I think that's too in direct for hisoka. Hisoka's goal seems to now be to directly destroy phantom troupe, or to set up a situation where they will kill themselves or be killed by others.

I was hyped to see more of Hinrigh, Lynch and Zakuro. The moment I first saw them I was instantly invested. I had to wait for a while, but it was worth it. Gold Expe--I mean, Biohazard is a really neat ability and I want to see how Hinrigh deals with more powerful foes, or perhaps how those more powerful foes deal with him.

You have kept the fan base excited for a long time. I don’t know how you managed it, but you did. The new chapter was amazing. I will be steering clear from pigeons in the future though.

You think the most badass line in the show is "go ahead call your backup" but i think it was when Gon said "it's hunter hunting time"

The seed urn thing on the colour page reminded me a bit of the king. Maybe his goal woth the succesion war is to ascend and fuse with the seed urn, or something like that

8:00 that's what I love about hunter x hunter. The inner dialogues are excellent, they aren't all genius' who figure everything out with perfect logic. It's like watching a chess match but all the pieces have their own worries and aspirations.

Wasn't Franklin from the Phantom Troupe manipulating his arms into machine guns? I would consider that conjuring an object using your body. His fingers even dangled by physical chains.

I pride myself in having a good memory and even still I was taken aback by the audacity of Togashi to pretend like nothing ever happened. It took me a second to reclaim my bearings. Also, I genuinely joy watching you talk about chapters because I have no one in real life to speak to this about bc my friends find Togashi’s style better suited to anime
