maybe in the sequel we'll see the dance. Actually there's no way, because even if they can't see it now or didn't think 'what if', something somewhere went wrong and they'll have to go back to the dance to see what happened after Uliana and her friends got detention.

I'm guessing he just made it. I've wondered if that's another reason why Chloe is a perfectionist - she's embarrassed by the fact that her brother just relies on his good looks and charm to get away with things and to get others to do his homework for him so she strives to be great at everything on her own so that she won't be like him. And she might also figure that 'bad stuff happens to my brother like getting locked up in a closet (Descendants 3) because he treats people badly, if I'm good bad things won't happen to me." I like though that neither of them really understand how tough their mothers life was (Chad didn't say anything but I don't think it really occurred to him that his mum had to work hard for no thanks for years).

honestly i'm kinda glad the movie decided to cut out of nowhere. It probably means for a potential more satisfying story in the long-run. While the first 3 descendants movies are great by themselves, i feel like movies that make use of long-running concepts could definitely use the privilege of setting up sequels. At the same time the movie could've hinted A BIT to the potential wrong going on like a real cliffhanger.

Yeah but I kinda wish it made a bit more sense like why didn't Red and Chloe wait and go to Castlecoming to make sure things went well? How did they know the villains being punished didn't stop them from continuing the prank or finding a different way to do it? It just felt a little abrupt. That being said, I do also like the idea of the movie ending with some unanswered questions but only if there will for sure be a follow up.

I think someone said that Cinderella and charming are the actors that acted in a Cinderella movie back in the day which makes it so sweet and cute 🥺

I just wanted to find out who ACTUALLY did the prank on Bridget. We can make the conclusion that in BOTH timelines, Uliana and her friends would’ve been frozen by the spell books safeguard so they couldn’t possibly have done the prank. Someone “good” took the book, but they were stopped by Red and Chloe without the girls even realizing. And if the present was changed, that means the reason leads back to them keeping the book from being taken by this mysterious “good” person.

12:03 anyone else notice how their wigs but more notably Bridget’s wig changes between the different camera angles? 😭 even in the shot where it shows her further away from the camera is a difference wig from when she’s shown up close with red. The difference being the wig in the back side angle is thick and has more tighter curls, meanwhile the front view angle it’s a thinner looser curled wig.

Thank goddddd someone said it!It bothered me soooo much.Like did no one in costuming think to comb out the curls from the beginning cause in some of the shots its like a fresh out of the box wig and the rest its abit curled and then combed out and longer

When they were stealing the book at the end, I wish there was like 30 minutes more. I was shocked when there was only 8 minutes left and they hadn't even returned to the present time yet. Otherwise really fun movie with good music, just a rushed ending

Ya but uliana couldn’t have pranked her because the book wouldn’t open either way. So someone else did it to her. Iliana was likely just a plot device to mislead us maybe, idk

I think Rise of Red should be considered a soft reboot instead of an continuation of the trilogy! I personally enjoyed the movie and the actors are pretty good too!

The whole movie to me is ok. Alot of unanswered questions.

To be fair, in the original movie starring that couple, the king was white and the queen was black and their son (Prince charming) is Asian. So maybe the prince is a mix of Asian, white, and black, and Chad just got mostly the white physical gene

I had tears in my eyes at the end

I like this one and I liked Red,also was unexpected to see Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts. This one is darker slightly and that makes me think that they were going more by the books than the other movies which is fine. The books were written after the first two movies came out and have 4 books and before this movie came out the writer wrote a 5th book that is based off this movie. The other movies didn't dare go into the darker sides of things and I feel like this one does. Good to see Pablo back as prince Charming and Brandy back as Cinderella as well. My favorite song is Red's song at the beginning and it's always nice to see What's my name making a come back because that was my favorite song in the second movie. So sad that little tribute to Carlos and the actor in general. I liked Brigitte's song when they went to the past and also young Cinterella's song Hands Dirty that was a good one too and the one that Chloe and Red sing when they fight over the watch is also a good song. Nice to see that Hades never changed haha they chose a good actor for him in my opinion. The part when the Queen of Hearts makes the cards tuen into her guards always scares me a bit so to speak..kinda like a yikes reaction really. Nice reaction and glad to see people reacting to this one already.

Kind of makes me cry too but he's in a better place now calm down he's always with you and always in the movie

I enjoyed this movie, it was so good and emotional that I can't wait for Descendants 5😊💖!!!

My favorite definitely is red because she's awesome and a rebel 🌹💖

Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts can freaking step on my neck. SO gorgeous ❤‍🔥

I quite enjoyed this film! The songs were bangers, the story was unique, and the actors were amazing in their respective roles!!! I found the ending anticlimactic, but I strongly believe that all that will be explored in the next film!!! Similar to the Back To The Future trilogy, there are some unanswered questions such as that if a VK can’t open the cookbook but an AK can. Also take into account that Morgie was the only one not frozen; it’s possible he found a way to break the gang out or manipulated Ella or Bridget or someone else to open the cookbook and still pulled a prank. We’ll just have to wait and see as only time will tell. 👑🥀⚔️⏱️🧁😇😈💔🖤🩵💛💖

If I’m going to be honest. I didn’t like this movie. It’s like the climax of the movie was at the start when the queen of hearts attacked everyone and it just went downhill because it didn’t address the other problems like the prom dance and the consequence of their actions besides on the queen. It’s like so easy to solve their problems and that’s it. It felt extremely short at the end.

SAME J WAS ALSO LIKE WHAT CHAD MADE IT

The actresses are good. The storyline here successfully made me appreciate the 1st 3 movies so much more than ever! Give me a better story, please.

I actually liked the idea of this plot a lot, but i do feel that the twist we needed for this storyline will be in the second film. It’s most definitely and unfinished story!

it was so great it is my favorite descendants movie!

Ending was a little rushed so they might have overdone the 'setting up for a sequel', but one way or the other they definitely got us thinking 'what happens next?' so they've kept us interested in the franchise and wanting more. Who should join Red and Chloe's team in the next movie? I keep thinking Peter Pan (he'd love to visit Wonderland I bet), but who else should they be friends with?
