I respect this woman immensely, but it's not her bosses fault she lives so far away. From watching this video I got the impression that she used to live in LA county and chose to move very far away to get her kids away from a crime ridden neighborhood. She had to move so far because the nice areas in LA county are too expensive. At the end of the day she still need to be on time, because if she isn't her work will be put on a coworker. I think she manages to be on time judging by the video.

Maybe America education should stress more about kids appreciating parent's sacrifices like in Asian cultures. Most American kids think more about it's parents ' responsibility bringing them in to this world. They didn't ask for it...:-)

It also baffles me how America has so much money going through it and yet no improvements are made in its infrastructure. We should've had bullet trains a decade ago, more schools, more housing, and better roads. There is blatant corruption in our faces but nothing is done about it.

  • @SarahWelstead

@alaric If you look at economic results for the past 25+ years (since the Reagan era at least, but also before) you'll see that decreased taxes and regulation do not in fact help people like this woman. What WOULD help her is higher-density housing (which increases available units and keeps prices from spiraling); increased community/school spending (so a person doesn't have to travel 100 miles to find a decent school for their kids); and more affordable healthcare (because too many people have to sacrifice a huge portion of their income to healthcare costs in one way or another). I'm not making this up - just about every economist on both sides of the left/right divide will tell you there is good data for this.

There's no one perfect on the earth. But you can limit the amount of sin you commit and confess to others of that sin to be healed. Only baptism and faith and a strong relationship with God is needed to get to heaven.
