Whole mirror bro..$50 turned into an additional $75 dollars

I used the axial video on installing this blinker and prying up on the mirror and it broke. So be careful pulling on that mirror!

I worked at a Ford dealer for the last 35 years in the collision center, stuff like that are designed to break that’s why I used a lot of glue over the years.

American trucks has the morimoto brand for the 09-14 model f150 mirrors front and back. Got some and they look clean af with the xb headlights

Sorry to see you had a problem with these. I also have these on my 2018 and was scared to pull off the mirror but luckily i had no problems. These look so much better that stock and i love the sequential on them..

I got my mirror took out about 2 months ago on my f-150 and there is a 3 month backup on even getting a new entire mirror, lucky you got some good connections 😂

Looks great and thanks for being upfront about the problems you had; other guys would have edited all that out so they could say they did it in 2 hours, it took me a good hour going through 6 to 8 KZread removal/ install videos to get a good idea how to get that mirror out, dont let this mishap discourage you from future DIY projects, again it looks great

I’ve got a question. So I got multiple sets of the morimoto mirror turn signal. They all had the same issues. Work perfect on driver side but on passenger side it was faulty. Wouldn’t flash at all most the time…sometimes would partially flash. I’ve heard that’s due to the temp sensor on the passenger side. Can you confirm for me that you have a temp sensor on the passenger side? Because if the axials work well I’ll buy them. The oem turn signals have been working fine on both sides so I know it’s not an issue with my mirror/truck.

I broke my driver’s side mirror doing the same mod. Worth it though.

Just put the tow mirrors on man that’s the only way to go for the wide stance and you can see better with them especially watching curbs with your back wheels. Gotta do it man that truck is badass it needs them

Glad to see you got it fixed but I know that was a pain in the ass I’ve been wanting to do it to my king ranch but that’s the main reason why I won’t is because I don’t want to replace the whole mirror I had to do it on my 2012 and I ended up breaking the whole mirror housing which was a pain

Just another thing to note, if you have a lariat or higher trim, with the puddle lights, but don’t have the spotlight mirror lights, aka you have a puddle light and an XLT turn signal you will lose function of your puddle light with this mod and even if you buy the morimoto one

@@KickinItWithQ I went through this on my base model lariat and while it was nice I ended up returning it as I didn’t want to lose my puddle light for times when it’s handy

Q, that’s a bummer. I wanted to do that as well but was worried that would happen. You just confirmed it. Sorry that happened. It looks sharp though. I went ahead and just dark smoked tinted my signal and it looks good. It’s stock but No heart ache. Hopefully it will go well for you.

Wow, thought about doing these on my ‘19 XLT, now I’m not so sure. You said the drivers side went smooth, wonder why the passenger side broke? I just hade an issue with my truck recently. The little keypad for the keyless entry broke and was hanging out. I was going to have Ford fix it, but I found a website that sells the whole keypad and bezel for 40 bucks. Popped the bezel off the new one, stuck it on my keypad, no disassembly of door required, job done. Glad you got it sorted.
