I’m finding Vinted such a breath of fresh air. You get the price you’re asking (give or take the odd offer). No annoying fees. Great 👍

God everything you've just said in this video I've had experience with. So frustrating. I've been selling on eBay for years but I haven't for a couple of months just so many returns for not as described when it is it's just not how the expected. Having to give the odd partial refund yet no refund to me on partial fees so I end up losing out anyway. People are so rude on eBay as well I just have completely had enough. I'm going to try out Vinted this week just waiting for some printer ink. Enjoyed the video thanks :)👍

Never check any emails that come from Ebay as i just set one up for that place only, great video's as always keep the great work up.

This has been about for a while. Issue is you can report false INADs but then it’s down to ebay to review internally - you never actually get a confirmation as to if eBay has accepted the report or not 🤷🏼‍♀️

At the beginning of the year I had a INAD return for a jumper, and when it arrived it had shrunk - either they’d shrunk it or swapped it with their own shrunken one - and used the 50% refund. It wasn’t an offer to the buyer. What happens in practice is then the buyer will open a case in protest, and then eBay will refund the rest to them at no cost to you. I have also reported false INADs on several occasions and got my postage refunded.

I block any buyer for buying from me again if ive ever had to refund, too many questions asked or something was off.

Hi love your videos & find them very inspiring. They have helped me a lot being new to all this. I have a question, so if you have an ebay business account but don't have a unit would it show your home address asking as I would like to get a Buissnes account at some point but don't have a unit?

Hi thanks so much I'm glad they've been helpful, when you sign up as a business seller you can change your business address so it would be your home address by default but you could always get a PO box or something if you don't feel comfortable with it showing

Iv had to issue 50% refunds for items returned damaged in the past. Basically you just state your reasons why your only refunding 50% in the returns and refunds flow, then the buyer has 14 days to appeal this with eBay. I believe eBay will cover the other 50% if the buyer appeals.

I do not negociate with the malicious buyers whem they abuse the INAD returns, if they don't like the fact I am retain 50% of the refund they will have to contact eBay CC and they will get the rest of 50% from them , in this cases the negative feedback it will be removed as well.

Did you ask the buyer how long ago it was that they bought/returned the item? It may be that it's timed out and you can't see it anymore on the system.

That's a good point I'll have to ask, but I'd have thought there would still have been a label created or the generic emails from ebay when someone opens a case/or it gets closed etc

I'm just trying vinted but seems to take ages to get paid. People seem to want cheap on vinted so not sure what to charge. How long do they take to sell 🤔

Hi yeah they do want things cheap over there and things can take a while but I think it just depends on what your selling. If its brand names and popular items then they go really quick, also regular listing will always help with sales

Hello SESM - I've had a couple of items delivered, but the customer said they never received them. In both cases they were low value items/sales so I took it on the chin and refunded them. I suppose it is not inconceivable that they got stolen off the customers doorstep. I've had little success with Vinted and Depop. around 2% of my sales from these platforms.

Hi yeah it's just one of those things that comes with doing what we do unfortunately, I've had no luck with depop but vinted is on the rise I reckon (I hope anyway! 😂)

Hi, been selling on since 1999, every single time I have someone tell me they didn't get their package, I send them back a very nice message telling them I will be phoning their p.o. branch manager directly to see what happened to their package, explaining that you will ask to speak to the driver and ask for a gps drop location, to have their package retrieved for them. I wait for a response from them because almost EVERY SINGLE TIME it magically appears from somewhere, their neighbor had it, or their kids put it somewhere, etc. I think in the last 3 years, I had ONE package that was actually lost and not recoverable out of the 6 or so people told me they didn't get!! If they message back and still tell me they don't have it, I get their postal branch the exact one that their mail is delivered from phone number and keep calling until I speak to someone and speak to whoever is the highest up at that branch (write down everyone's names and times you called!!) . They will speak to the driver and gps the location when it was delivered. If it shows that it was in fact delivered to them, I first contact ebay and tell them so that it is noted in my account and then I go from there with the customer, telling them where and when it was delivered. it is a giant hassle and waste of time (i know some people don't have the time to deal with all that), but it works!!

I think the problem with Vinted is they don’t allow resellers. Plenty of resellers use it, but I know plenty who have also had bans. I hope they change that opinion. Also, I get those scam EBay emails all the time! They try to hack your account etc lots of sellers get them I think, I just ignore them, if it’s genuine case they’ll go through eBay.

Report the person to eBay or the police, as it is a Scam. Regards the Refunds yes you do have to send an offer and a reason why. You can only do this once pre item, I had this happen to me early this year on a vintage blouse.

Good vid. I think the newest part of this is that it’s been extended to ‘above average’ sellers too. I’d have preferred if they had kept it for top rated only.

when i print a vinted lable the address comes out the wrong size not all the address prints out any idea if ive got to change the settings it works fine on ebay

Fake inads are sorted now. 5 out of 5 times ebay has refunded me return postage after reporting buyer.

The person contacting you probably had their account shut down, that's why they can't contact you on ebay (or it's been way too long ago) unless you did sell them something at some point and you ship your email address with your packing info and they are just fishing trying to get a refund. Been selling on ebay since 1999, buyers have been and always will be stupid...so many people do not READ descriptions or look at all the pictures. Ebay has evolved so many times I can not count anymore, but this latest change of people getting their returns opened automatically and getting their return shipping paid for is RIDICULOUS, all it has done has increased the idiocy and dishonesty of the buyers. My hubby sells on ebay motors (and has forever) you would not believe the stupid crap the buyers do on there, we are talking expensive parts too! I tell everyone who asks me if they should sell on ebay, that I have a love/hate relationship with ebay, if you don't have the time, patience or money to roll with the punches it isn't worth it, but if you want to make $ selling stuff that you got for almost nothing or free, than you will make $ if you have a clue of what you are doing before you start!! However, I am most confident when I say you can make more money on ebay than anywhere else, no selling platform can compete with the audience that ebay has...yet. There are definitely better choices available for selling clothing than ebay though. If you stay on ebay, keep letting customer service hear your complaints!!! Be sure to fill out surveys, it does help EVENTUALLY. Best of luck to you wherever you wind up!!

I have been a seller and buyer on ebay for over 20 years. I have 100% positive feedback and have never lost any kind of dispute. I sold a vinyl record yesterday and ebay, in all of their infinite wisdom, puts a hold on the payment from the buyer. Ebay then directs me to "send" the vinyl to the buyer first (without getting paid) and after the buyer recieves the item and let's ebay know, only then will I get paid. NO! I will keep it simple: I send the item, when I get paid. Ihave no idea what in the hell ebay is doing and I wont have any part in it. After many calls and horrible discussions with the abusive ebay staff, I have come to the conclusion that staff at ebay are delusional and need to implement a mental health plan for their own good. I told them to refund the poor buyer and they told me that I have to. I then looked into trying to refund and cancel the sale and ebay prompts me to put in yet another credit card or the buyer cannot be refunded, Yeah right ebay. YOU put a hold on the money? The YOU take your finger off the hold button. Simple. Once again, I will NOTsend any item BEFORE I get paid. Simple isnt it? In my opine, EBAY have sunk to a new low and I wont be there to support the farce. Just saying..
