This mental ABANDONED house scared us more than ever before
Ойын-сауық
Normally we would walk away from an abandoned house like this … rammed with stuff all over the floor! But this is an opportunity I’m glad we took! Not only did it creep us out more than any other house EVER! But the history hidden away upstairs was breathtaking, lords, royalty and money oozes from every pore of this place! We found more history in this place than most of the others added together!! WATCH THIS TO
THE END!!!

Please keep showing all the photos! They really help to bring to life the history of the families who lived in these homes, and make the explores so personal. :)

I agree (10 months later). Those photos make these homes real... and you never know someone may recognize a family member and be able to rescue some of these memories... Cheers
Great video guys! The letter from Dallas Lodge reads: My own dear wife, I was very glad to get your long letter today and to hear that you were having fine weather and that Maddie was looking better…(I believe he goes on to talk about the sea but a thumb was in the way)😉 Fun fact Dallas Lodge in Scotland has a connection to Dallas Texas 🇺🇸it’s the same family. When they got to the States they named the city of Dallas after their ancestral home.

Wow this is amazing
I love the photos and papers, please keep them up! That paper you were holding was FASCINATING!! A legal contract ensuring a (possibly illegitimate) daughter gets the same share of the inheritance from her father as his other children and a prearranged marriage thrown in! What an amazing piece of history, and the photos!! I would research that, can't believe what was buried in all that crap! Loved this video like always ❤️❤️
Whoever said their not watching any more cause you show many pictures won't be missed, you learn more history from pictures and written documentation than you would just watching a video of two "all be it amazing" men just rummaging the amount of knowledge I've picked from matt and andy is absolutely fascinating ❤❤
Ooh, spooky! It's such a shame that all that history is being lost. I hope you can find somebody who will save it. I love your videos because you do look at photos and letters etc. It makes it far more interesting to me. 🧡

Surely there would be a museum that would take them? I feel that there has to be a way to preserve them for history and the surviving family.
Again me. And yes, I am still busy catching up on the videos. I just want to thank you for the care you take when handling photo albums and photographs. It is heart warming to know people actually care about other peoples’ memories. Keep up the great work. Keep safe. And be blessed!
I love old photographs it's a tiny window into the past. I was sat here trying to piece the family tree. The letters to Loftus could have been from his wife Joan. Cecilia Joan the daughter of Lillie Thornhill. This video was one of my favourites those letters and photos need to be saved somehow, such a shame you can't get permission to retrieve them. Well done on such a fascinating video.
I love seeing all the old photos its bring the story to life. Its a glimps into the past of the people who used to live in the houses you look round xxx
Just looked up Loftus Thornhill on Ancestry. He died in 1931 at 23 Devonshire Street, Marylebone, London, and left £3371 11s. 1d. to his wife Lillie

I used to work in 16 Devonshire street in London in 1980s.They were really lovely Victorian houses. In our basement was the servants quarters and kitchen all original. We still had the dumb waiter. The rooms were huge. The entrance was all oak panelling and had a huge sweeping staircase. So much history.
Oh Matt I was crying listening to you laughing hilarious. Much ❤ x
The photos are amazing it brings these people and places to life and it looks like most other people feel the same. Matt your laugh gets me every time 😂😂
Typed Loftus name in just to see and this is what came up ,his name was Loftus Milnes Thornhill he was born in 1853 he married Lillie Pickard who was bornin1873 the had Cecelia born in 1901 and died in 1982 at 81 ,always look forward to you guys on a Sunday
i love the photos, would like more photos and more looking through the stuff. i prefer that to the just wondering round
This was such a great explore…absolutely loved it ❤️ the photographs are just amazing and I could look through old photo albums all day. You are right Matt…moments in history that are just fascinating. The old Eton programme was so interesting. I would love to be given the job of clearing that house…it would take me months 😂
I love LOVE all the photos, please don't stop showing them. I couldn't agree more that they give us a look into the past. You guys give my son and I a great laugh while keeping a record of sorts of the past. Keep up the amazing work!

We love looking through the pictures too and glad you liked them.
Just a possible explanation for the squeaking noise - there wasn’t a weather vane on top of the house or some sort of sign like a pub sign attached to the side of the house that could have been squeaking? Fab video as always. I love it when things get spooky! Keep up the good work!
Hi Matt and Andy. Fantastic explore. That house is definitely a time capsule. I hope you both manage to trace the relatives of Loftus Thornhill, and they can learn more about him and his travels from his own words. What fascinating photos and letters. Handwriting back then was beautiful. I've never seen Andy so scared before. Enjoyed his hat show. Thanks again for the content and laughs.
That Lillie looks like one of the gals that were in the picture at the beginning, on the wall? Very very cool finding those pics! Please don't stop showing them!!
I love it when you show the photo's it just brings the whole story you're trying to tell to life ❤ it's a brilliant watch and so interesting. And what the heck was that noise????? Well done both of you love the show 👏 ❤ xxxx

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marquess_of_Anglesey .Family history, 1815-present Henry Paget, 1st Marquess of Anglesey, at the Battle of Waterloo. Lord Anglesey later held political office as Master-General of the Ordnance and Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland. He was succeeded by his eldest son from his first marriage, the second Marquess. He served as Lord Chamberlain of the Household under Lord Melbourne between 1839 and 1841. His only son from his first marriage, the third Marquess, represented Staffordshire South in Parliament. He was childless and was succeeded by his half-brother, the fourth Marquess. He held the honorary post of vice-admiral of North Wales and West Carmarthen. His son, the fifth Marquess, became known for squandering his inheritance on a lavish social life and accumulating massive debts. In 1904 he was declared bankrupt. He died the following year aged only 29 and was succeeded by his cousin, the sixth Marquess. He was the son of Lord Alexander Paget, third son of the second Marquess. He was a soldier and courtier. He was succeeded by his only son, the seventh Marquess, who succeeded in 1947 and who was an author and historian.[7] The seventh Marquess died in 2013 and was succeeded by his son Charles Alexander Vaughan Paget, 8th Marquess of Anglesey (born 1950).[8] The heir apparent is the present holder's son, Benedict Dashiell Thomas Paget, Earl of Uxbridge.
Due to my research Lillie Pickard (maiden name) (age 27)is Cecilia’s mom and her father was named Loftus Thornhill (age 47). Cecilia was born April 10, 1901 and married Albert Conder in 1939. Albert was born in 1905. Cecilia had 2 siblings. Cecilia passed away at 81 in 1982.
Brilliant video...loved it and laughed so much...So many important photos/correspondence...earlier Andy thought he saw a man in the doorway, then dismissed it....maybe it was the same spirit outside.
That noise, OMG!! It has to be the toy horse!! I agree with you, Matt! At first, it sounded like a rocking chair, then shagging, as you say it. I'm from the US. My jaw hit the ground when you turned the torch on and all I saw was a field. Btw, I like photos too. I think it all plays a huge part in our history!
I love the pictures they paint a thousand words . And take you right bck ti that time and era . Thank you so much for taking time to share the pictures and documents you found. That's history right there! ♥
I love to see the photos and documents as they bring to life the people of the past . I could have spent hours reading those letters . It breaks my heart that so much history is left to fade away with time. You two make me laugh you both bounce off each other. Great explore . Thank you .
This to me has been an awesome explore, the photos, letters, everything has been amazing, how I wish I could go through all that history & put it all in date order, research the family, thank you so much for your persistence in finding the good in the bad, simply amazing.
Wow! This is amazing! I wish #MAndy had more time to stay and comb thru all the letters and photos! It's amazing. Those 8000 pounds would be over 1.1 million pounds in 2022. Nice! Great job Matt and Andy!
OMG GUYS!! Y’all are cracking me up!! 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve missed you two so MUCH!! 🤎❣️ 12:04-06 I heard a whisper say, same here. 48:02-04 as Matt is talking about the RC, there’s a breathy sound in the background. Do you think they actually lived like hoarders or do you think ppl came there & just destroyed the place? I can’t even imagine living life that way. Holy moly!! Just a side note for the people who have issues with the picture showing. They have (HISTORY) in their title & pix are part of peoples history!

Wow! I bet Andy caught a glimpse of old mutton chop Thornhill! I wonder if that creaky sound was the old hobby horse being moved by ghost of Joan Thornhill. Great explore, love that you show the old photos, Lillie Thornhill looks amazing in that large photo, like a movie star. Hopefully someone who is a relation will find this video and save all that history. Great video as always guys!😘👻🤣
OMG I was crying tears of laughter at the beginning along with you that was hilarious! What an amazing place so much history and what a shame its just all left behind! Loved seeing all the photos and letters great video thanku for sharing all of it with us ☺
I've been binge watching for the last few weeks, I love history and the stories, but God you guys make me laugh 😂 😂 I just re watched the one where you were trapped and had to escape, then the next one Matt fell through the floor in the first 2 minutes 😂😂But now I'm here. Also the other one where you escape in the dark and Matt fell in the creek.. Oh its just hilarious, but also very interesting. Looking forward to the next one, until then, I'll just keep watching the old ones again . Lots of love from NZ 🇳🇿 💚👍
@ 45:25 when matt say he's piecing it all together now while looking at the picture of the women and child you will hear a women humming a happy little tune in your right ear. very noticeable at 45:26 i have listen multiple times now. its amazing what ya hear when listening with earbuds or good sound cancelling headphones vs listening on stereo speaker from the device itself
That place was awesome, I love the photos and the letters you find, it's a shame the families just leave them to go to waste. Love you guys. 🌹🦋❤️
I love old, old pictures as well. I've gotten a few old pictures from auctions I have no idea who they are but I hang them up anyways because they are cool.
I enjoy how you explore abandoned buildings. You are keeping the history alive for a family whose forgotten about it. Is this the first time you've investigated a hoarders house? You both have good laughs.
Love how you guys actually take the time to show us the old photos and letters it makes the explore much more interesting than just wondering around 😊
Omg roll on the 19th, the suspense is literally killing me! You can't do this to us! Well obviously you can because you are!🤭😆👌
35:30 🤣🤣 He had such a wild head of hair they didn't take him seriously, glory days 🤓
At 57:16 the envelopes with the black edges are mourning envelopes, used to send condolences to families in mourning. One of the stamps look like Queen Victoria 1d from the 1880's and 1890's, and the postmark number looks like '257' which should be easy to find the location of (Dorking in Surrey, near London). I can also see an envelope with a pair of King Edward VII stamps, postmarked Kensington SW London, 1903, and another from Cowes on the Isle of Wight in 1898(?).
I am more intrigued than spooked though I was not there like you guys were. Those pictures and letters were amazing! I love it! What a treasure to find. Its like actual Downton Abbey era authentic family and history. That is really cool! :D
Wow what an absolutely amazing place, I love really old photographs and littĺe things like the spinning top, the name Beauchamp is actually pronounced Beecham, and the Titanic went down in 1912, oh and thanks a lot for the scare with the mask I literally screamed and jumped of my sofa, thanks guys you're the best
I'm just on catch up, but just seeing all these memories lost feels so sad and brings to light how short life really is. Thanks for another fab 1 xx
At 36 minutes & 47 seconds in that is the wedding photo of Mary, Princess Royal & Countess of Harewood, daughter of King George V & Mary of Teck to Henry Lascelles, 6th Earl of Harewood on the 28th of febuary 1922, they were married at Westminster Abbey.
Reading that first letter . . . Loftus Thornhill was Joan Thornhill's father, letter was addressed to Joan and the farewell was "from you ever affectionate father Loftus Thornhill"

AMAZING video! Absolutely loved this one, never stop showing the photos, they are the best part!
Keep showing pictures hun love the history behind places and the people xx
The document is an Indenture which is a document that was drawn up regarding property years ago, the same as title deeds to properties nowadays. I worked in a solicitors dealing with property and these documents would come up often on very old properties.
I love seeing all the old photos, keep showing them!
Awesome Video at the end Andy's seen his 1st Shadow Bastard... 👻🖤
Those old pictures are neat I got all my ancestors pictures from my dad just glad to have them
When you panned over the letter @1:00:14 there is the name Charles Fairfax Hutton Riddell. Charles is a family name that goes back to when my ancestors came from Scotland. Also the original spelling of my family name was Riddell. Now I’m off to do a family search to see if there’s any family connection. Please don’t stop showing the pictures or letters/documents. I get just as giddy about the history of the places as Matt does. Great job on this one guys. Btw Matt, stop picking on Andy. 😉 Lol.
Photos are Epic!!! They bring warmth and depth to your explores. How elegant they are! Cheers from the U.S.
Oh my! I was eating when you started laughing... I almost choked. LOL I truly love the photos. Please keep sharing.... thank's for the laughs!!! I love treasure hunting. Wondering if that sound was a swing blowing in the wind, but you said no wind? What year was the physio/medical book. Wish so much the history could be pieced together & put in a museum. Amazing life
OMG I am cracking up . I love the interactions between you too. You can tell you are great friends with so much humor.
Love the banter and fabulous photos.Keep being who you are.
Bizique was a game played in Victoria era - my grandmother used to play it.
Just wonderful Wish you could have been there longer. The photos and letters amazing.
I just rewatched this and caught a voice at 17:40 that says several words. Can anyone make it out? Sounds like it answers you two, seems right over your shoulder Matt! Then, immediately after, you both hear something to the right of you. It begins....I LOVE this stuff!!!
I came across your channel this morning and this was the first video I watched. Are you both from Yorkshire.??. Im from Wakefield. 😬😬. Thanks for giving me such a laugh I think you work so well together and you both have a fab sense of humour and I wish I knew you personally. 🥰🥰🥰. The guy in the uniform is the Viscount Lascelles, Earl of Harewood and the lady, Princess Mary, the Princess Royal and the Queen’s Aunt. It’s their Wedding Portrait in 1922.
i love that you add photos. it shows the fashion from the past.. thank you
G'day boys, that was an awesome exploration. So much history. I think Andy saw a shadow bastard! Sending love from Australia.
I used to think Andy was bullied when I first watched , then I realised it's just fun banter . Absolutely loved this and the hunted video was so funny. Can't wait for the next .
Holy crap.......Andy scared the crap out of me!!!!! Watching you and have head phones on. I about jumped out of my chair!!! I just love seeing all those old photos. They tell such a story. That place gave me the creeps more than once.
I like seeing the history pieces of the place, it's putting pieces of a puzzle together. Those noises were creepy! 👻? 😆 then the dark shadow! Great Video guys!! ❤ ❤

Wow loved that places all them old pictures and letter love seeing that stuff. Andy was that shadow the same one u mite have seen at the front door at the beginning of the vlog ? Mybe he was making sure u left the house.
The letters addressed to Loftus Thornhill at Arthur's in London on St James St were to a gentlemen's club founded in 1811. It was the first gentlemen's club owned by its members and catered to the country gentlemen more than White's or Brook's. It lasted until 1940. The Carlton Club, whose building on Pall Mall was destroyed by German bombers bought Arthur's and it remains there to this day.

Happy Father's Day to you both!! I love history and it's sad the younger generation doesn't care about their past. I would love to know about my history. Y'all need to sage and cleanse yourselves when y'all leave places. You don't want anything to follow you home!!
love that andy saw a ghost lol
I love old photos. More so the older ones
U.S. , it's a game counter, Etsy sells the and here's how its listed under the same exact item, copy an pasted - unusual game scorer, flip up bone chips with inlaid mother of pearl and black wood block with hand painted gold flowers, 30's vintage, rare $60.39
So many people spend lots of time and even money researching their family histories, and to think there might have been stockpiles of such information left to rot in old homes...this is a trove of rich details. It's such a shame it's going to oblivion.
I absolutely adore seeing the old pictures love it. It does make me sad though that they were just left behind.
Thanks guys for another great explore 👌 loved it take care my friends much love 💘❤ 💕 💘

Great video guys! Those photos were mesmerising.
Looking forward to it as always 😁😘
Absolutely brilliant video so so interesting and please don’t stop showing all the photos as it gives a glimpse of the family who lived in the places you visit Love Andy bens hats and that laugh Matt 😂
Very cool and spooky explore! Nothing like getting lost into the past reading letters and looking over photographs and plates from over 100 years ago. I think your interloper may have been a fox, probably surprised to find you in it's house. The man on the road was probably just Loftus, seeing his guests off to their carriage. BTW Happy Father's Day guys! To the "I don't want to look at photos crowd," those photos are a window into the past as much as the building that is being explored. It is amazing history. The only thing that Matt could do, provide timestamps so that the photo averse can bypass the photos.
Fascinating!! Wow you guys stumbled on some amazing history, a ruby in the dust. Tragic that all the amazing photographs in antique picture frames left to rot. As you say it would be fascinating to piece the story and history together, looks like a book could be made from the letters and pictures. I looked up a few of the names, the family are connected to aristocracy, William Beauchamp 1st Baron Bergavenny etc etc, Lily Thornhill the beautiful woman in the hat was I think a famous Edwardian actress, I looked her up. All of the clothes in the pictures very expensive and beautiful. In the middle of your video you found a framed water color of a large stately home, I think this could have been the ancestral home, such a fascinating family. I wonder why everything was just left behind…such a mystery! I’d love to go through the letters with you guys, piecing the story together.
One of my favourite explores thanks guys.❤️❤️ Thank also for the great laughs.
I would love to have some of those pictures, especially the lady in the big frame! Absolutely beautiful!
45:28 a spirit talks. After you say “your piecing it all together now” Sounds like she’s agreeing with you!!
Loved this. Thank you
I love the laughter and how you are having such a good time guys!! I need to ask a question. If I catch spirit voices in your videos, do you go listen?? At 17:40, you both are looking at a little blue book together, and it seems someone else is too. I can almost hear exactly what it's saying. What do you hear?? I have found several others and commented too, in your other videos. A few minutes later, Andy looks outside because he hears it, and you too, cause you say something too! It is inevitable in these places. You are feeling the energy and it can make you feel anxious.
