This May Be One of My Favorite Tie Dyes I’ve Made Yet!
I think this is one of my favorite tie dyes I’ve ever made! It’s a 4x T shirt that I finished folding and tying late the night before last. Got it dyed, irrigated, rinsed and washed yesterday and just pulled it out of the dryer and got it ironed this morning. I just sort of went crazy on this one! It’s not a custom or anything, I just felt like going all out on a piece of art… Been working on it in spurts between a few simpler shirts and some other work but spent about a good 12 hours on it all together! It has a cosmic egg front and center, a kink fold on the spine that I put some extra kinks into and tightly bound in a honeycomb manner. Then I pleated a random S shaped line from the outside bottom corner of the sleeve to the collar bone area, and did a combination of Kenny and Trip style nodes for the rest of the available fabric space. I it were my size I would totally keep it (I’m a little upset to be honest) but it is available. So if it’s the right size for you and you’re in love with it too, contact me for more information. Thank you so much! I try and share as much as I can but sadly I’m working with bare bones equipment and a shoestring budget so it’s tough… I record everything with a cell phone and a broken gooseneck holder and have very limited video editing capabilities and little to no storage capacity so I have to constantly delete old videos to record new ones. It’s all unfortunately a lot of work and very time consuming. But I’m sorry, I’m not trying to complain! I’ll definitely keep putting stuff out there when I can make the time. I just wish it was easier so I could do it more! I enjoy sharing my art and helping other artists where I can plus it helps to educate people in general about how much work goes into a lot of this stuff.
