This glider rc plane is massive with a wingspan of 2000mm, roughly 6.5 feet long. After our last video, it hit out of stock status, so it definitely is in high demand! Well it's back in stock now, so we thought we would let you guys know and fly it for you a second time! This has got to be one of the biggest wingspans we have ever had on our channel. It towers over Nate. This powerful rc plane boasts a powerful 3136-kv1000 brushless motor with a 10-15 minute flight time. We are very impressed for our first maiden flight. Let us know your thoughts about this rc plane in the description box.

Nate, you only use flaps once you fund a thermal and is circling it. And at 4:26 is one thing to look out for, a bird used to thermaling. If it starts flying in circles without moving its wings you better get close and ride the elevator. The cloud at 5:05 tells me that there's a thermal right there, get below it and find the lift.

I bought mine after the last review, and just love it. When I built it I had one aileron servo that was bad and Hobbyzone immediately sent me a new one. I had metal gear so I just put one in, but it was great customer service. This plane flies wonderfully on tiny 1300 3S batteries, and you can get hour or longer flights. I bring out a lawn chair and sit and fly with the eagles and hawks. This is a great all purpose motor glider, and for the price its a real bargain.

I absolutely love when someone watches one of our videos, buys something we showed (if it was good) and then on a follow up video like this they share their experience. Ive been flying 3 channel planes off and on for a couple o yrs and today i took out my overpowered glider much like this and I wasnt ready for the power or the ailerons flipping me over, being so used to rudder on the right stick. So now its glued back together do ya think I should try for low flights to get the hang of it or spend more time on the sim (That doesnt work so good on my pc)? Do people switch switch the control to have rudder on right or is that a bad way to learn. I guess i should be asking this stuff in a forum, huh? Thanks

Glad you like yours brother! Good old five channel, very basic set up. No rates. No expo. Just straight bind and fly, and assign flaps to my favorite channel :-) Some people probably want to see you ad the "crow" effect with the ailerons and flaps together. Works well to slow the plane down very quickly, but it's more novelty than every day use. I'm very content with flying my SZD-54 with my current set up and hope to have and fly it for years to come. No planes to heavily modify it, if at all, and definitely won't be selling this plane for the sake of making room for another. Happy Flying RCPA!!

Nav lights would be nice so it could be flown dusk and dawn and not loose orientation. I realize though that just about any feature you add to the plane would add to the cost. Ps. A lot of the flying on my own property is done at dusk and dawn with my UMX Turbo Timber. I wouldn't do it in such low light without having nav lights.

Thanks for tuning in Craig! So, most RC planes don't include radios. The main reason for this is to keep cost down for those of us that own more than one airplane. And honestly most people that fly one RC plane tend to own more than one. It is usually wise to make your first plane a RTF one, which is one that includes a radio! This is the easier route, and a good way to see if you enjoy the hobby. If you do, it is advised to buy a universal radio and save about $40-$50 or more on each future airplane purchase! Hooe this helps. Happy Flying! 👍😁😎⚓

Couple days ago I was getting ready to go outside to fly my drone I had put new Duracell batteries in my transmitter about 2 flights before this one Thank God I tested it in the house because about 30 seconds of flight my transmitter died When I go outside and fly there is a church with a really tall staple with a cross on it behind my house and birds like to set up there and I like messing with them lol No I don't try to hurt them don't worry hehe but if I would have been up there when my transmitter died it would have been bye bye drone lol There are woods for miles behind the church and the wind was blowing that way it most of the time is Always check your batteries even if they are new especially if you don't have a warning indicator like my cheapo drone lol ✌️

Taranis is good yes, but has an awful UI and a steep learning curve for most. There is a reason we use what we use. We own a couple Taranis radios and use them with a few of our models, so are speaking from actual, every day experience. Also, speaking from experience, we HIGHLY advise a person NOT break LoS while flying. This is EXTREMELY dangerous and for anyone to admit they are doing this is just asking for negative attention for themselves and the hobby in general. If you break LoS, always have a spotter. Fly safe, please.

Sorry to say, but if speak about massive than minimum the glider should have 4+ meters span-width. Your glider is nice but really small. Normal gliders have a span-width of around 3m.

From my experience and also my people I know maybe one out of 75 gliders with the motor is fun for more than six or seven days because there's absolutely no challenge...... I purchased many gliders new and box from RC groups and took the motor out and put in a big chunk of lead and then it became enjoyable

It seems to fly more like a low wing aerobatic model and not a glider. It also seems to be very quick and jerky!!! At that rate it will find its way to the deck pretty quick. Not my cup of tea I am afraid. Sorry for the negatives but its only my opinion. I have seen better.

For a first time flyer with gliders you only need two channels to concentrate on. That is rudder and elevator. Set your rudder on your radio to the aileron channel ( one ) and the elevator to channel two and fly on mode two. This makes you control the model on two axis using one stick on the right of the transmitter( radio). This is quite enough for a starter. The umx Radian is very forgiving and has built in stability by design. What you dont want is ailerons, flaps, brakes etc etc. Its too much for a beginner. Learn to fly as SLOW as possible to give your brain a chance to react. Slowly does it!!!! When that gets boring THEN you add more channels. Be kind to yourself and take the model home in one piece!. That will give you more of a buzz than smashing it and binning the hobby. I am old fashioned and also OLD so I hope my advice helps you. Happy flying .
