I ran into him in ranked when I was doing the Akuma grind: he was playing Jamie, just did 5HP repeatedly, then after he lost 0-2 he called me into a Custom Room where he said I was "trash". Very angry guy

Happens to the best of us! You'll get that Master Juri soon haha. I've found myself playing pretty reactive as Juri lately, especially against Bison, letting him get himself into trouble, then pushing pressure and Oki where appropriate. Granted, against a wiz like Broski it's not that simple.

This combined with his non existent combo scaling makes him trash to play against. The next balance patch can't come soon enough to see this fucked character taken down a peg or two...

I really think people need to calm down with the week 1 nerf requests for Bison already lmao. He's made to be a character with obvious strengths and weaknesses. His defensive options are horrible as all of his super options lose to meaty light pressure, his anti airs are pretty slow and will lose to strong jump normals when pressed early like Ken's jump heavy punch or dive kicks, and his normals are pretty stubby and slow. He does look like a very good character, but I just don't see him being that oppressive of a character that he's already better than Luke, Deejay, Chun-Li, Ken, Rashid, Akuma, Blanka and needs nerfs?

@@ryuhoshi2774 Manon, kimberly have very weak defense and yet they don't have nearly as many other strengths. His supers losing to meaty jab is not nearly enough to balance it out it's a non issue, he has just as good cr.HP anti air as most of the cast, while he can combo into super with his air to air. I don't know what game you are playing but his normals are most definitely not stubby, he has a very long cr.lp. At least characters like jamie need to spend bar on drive rush to get the amount of +frames he gets for free. His scissors needs to not push back like it does so it can be punished when spammed like it is currently, and his scaling on his combos needs to get in line with the rest. Idgaf that you need the bomb to get 8k, its too fucking much. He has aki's mechanic yet aki needs to spend half her meter to do decent combo damage while he doesn't. Nobody asked for nerfs for the previous 4 DLC characters, because they were designed balanced while they went completely overboard with him.

you don't even need to hover/highlight over FG. you can just press the shortcut button anywhere on the main menu screen.

You’re quickly becoming one of my favorite creators for street fighter I find myself clicking on any video of yours that enters my feed.

All they need to do is make scissors not so easy to space. I don't mind Bison having spacing traps, but just a little more thought should go into it

DI is your friend. If they get to comfy, throwing M scissors around like it's nothing, eating a full DI punish will make them a bit more cautious.

The problem with scissor kick is there is no obvious counter play. You can di it or neutral jump if u have the read(not on reaction) . And u can get a jab punish on it if youre lucky. And the problem with the jab punish is u cant link into crouch mk for a drive rush after cause hes alwasy just to far. And if ur jab happens to miss(more often than not) youve lost your turn. For a move that skips neutral,combos on counter hit and punish counter ,dodges low, does drive gauge damage, restands for a 50 50 , is safe on blck prrtty much and spaces bison out enough so u cant take your turn back and is not also a charge move so u can't even thats the penalty hes taking for having such a good move. I mean who let capcom cook?😂

people rarely ever try stuffing scissors instead of trying to interact with them after the fact. They have always been designed to incentivize players to find the safest spacing to make them harder to interact with them, especially in this game where they are all punishable by jab (frame data wise), and you can't make them safer by spending meter. I would experiment with crouch jabs, and when you get more comfortable, you can try medium punch for a bigger combo. It sounds counterintuitive at first because scissors are quite fast for what they do, but stuffing them is better than blocking them for drive gauge depletion, or getting hit by them and getting pressured harder. You already came up with 2 great answers to scissors, but don't just stop there. The more ways you can interact with scissors, the more ways Bison players have to think about using them differently, and if you're solid on your punishes, he may have to stop them altogether.

Which I think for a move that's that good, I feel like there should be some draw back to the bison player using it. Also when u say medium punch to punish (do u mean linking light lunch into medium) cause it won't reach. And medium punches are normally 6 -7 frames but scissor kick is -5 at most so they can't punish it either. Personally I'd reduce the push back so u can get a jab punish on it more consistently

It’s both a blessing and a curse that the best thing about Bison is probably the least fun thing about him (Scissors). If he gets whacked with the hammer, we’ll probably get to keep all fun set play and just lose scissors as a neutral skip

I mean. Scissors as a neutral skip (which is a misnomer; it's actually just part of the neutral) has been a thing since SF2 Champion Edition, where despite being charge, it was much MUCH worse than here. But yeah: Having Scissors as a motion that Bison can throw out at any time seems.. questionable. If motion controls are the reason why no one can have two overlapping charge moves, i wonder if it wouldn't have been better if Psycho Crusher should havebeen motion and Scissors Kick be charge. I say this as a Bison main since 1992.

I took a very small break from sf6 to play guilty gear strive. I only run into slayer. Returns to sf6. M. Bison drops and it might be top 2 character in the game, and its not number 2

That's honestly the thing about him that gets me the most. Yeah, he's got some nutty tools, he's got strong buttons, his pressure is insane and the M. stands for Marisa when it comes to corner DP punishes, but most of that I can work around to some degree. What does kind of shit me is WHY DOES THIS REANIMATED CORPSE GET PRIMO MOVESPEED/DASH/DRIVERUSH!? Like geez, okay Capcom. Calm it down with giving the new characters amphetamines in their drinking water, please. I can understand with Akuma, but why Bison?

First off, did that Juri plug? What a scumbag. They need to patch this character. I have been playing Bisons for hours yesterday and he was oppressive. You can feel his tools. His movement is insane, his drive rush is insane, his damage is insane, and M Scissors gave me a nightmare. I was up until 3 am trying to figure out how to beat this character. This is the only character I have played against in this game where I felt helpless for a while. That said, I am a permanent Diamond scrub and have no real understanding of how characters should be constructed in SF. If it were NRS/Tekken/Arcsys I would say this with my chest.

Akuma is now my best matchup and Bison is the worst please send help the dlc nightmare does not relent

You need to microwalk before OD Crusher a bit. About 4 frames is enough. Just do the stomp and then do crusher a biiit later. Hold back, then do forward and PP with a tiny desync

It's -5 on block. Unless they space light scissors very well, it's punishable with most 5 frame lights. M and H scissors leave you much closer and easier to punish, still -5 though.

I struggled for the last few months getting to 14k and eventually 15k lp with the characters i main. Today i bought all the DLC characters, labbed 0.5 Bison combos and placed in Diamond. This character is stupid man.

Does Bison actually say “scissor him”?

I still don't know if I'm sticking with Bison over Aki, but I'm sure as hell taking the chance to play him when he's this busted. If they were still on the policy of "one patch per year" people would be dooming right now. lol

I'm literally begging them to make scissors a charge move again. This is from a Bison main since SF4. I hate this whole Half Charge nonsense they're doing for all the charge characters. Charge Characters don't need motion inputs.

Comparatively bison had less damage in 5, but he did the exact same thing to you at the end of the day. I think hes overtuned for sure, but not having good defense is and always will be a huge flaw in this game where almost anyone can get oki

I hate this character so damn bad. I'll just have to wait my turn until terry comes out and spam him. They made this character purposefully broken and it's too disgusting to deal with. Dropping this game until then. (3 Hour playtime Diamond Juri main in case anybody wants to say get good or something).

Waiting for them to patch bison before I play again. Scissors is broken and unfair. If they don't nerf him i'm also very interested in switching because he feels pretty easy and probably would be a good secondary for Guile....or new main.

To get that 80% you need a punish, ÇA, planted mine and a little execution, it’s fair, they better not nerf I swear 😂
