Give it a couple more generations - they gave this treatment to Kommo-o, who was god-awful when gen 7 came out and arguably the worse pseudo at the time before they compensated it with clangorous soul, scale shot, etc.

It just needs its signature move reworked again to where it acts as both iron defense and amnesia as one with some form of recovery. Its signature move ups defense, special defense one stage but also restores little bit of HP and recover from status condition but keeping its PP usage low. Thats my take anyways.

This reminds me of a set a friend of mine used against me. He got a good switch-in, set up a Shelter, ate up the ensuring Earthquake from my Krookodile, Sheltered again, Resto Chesto'd, and then swept my team with Body Press and Gyro Ball. And thanks to Shell Armor I couldn't crit it. By the time I took it out, the match was basically over. TLDR, I was salty but also realized just how slept on this thing is

I’m so glad Goodra got a second chance with this Hisuian form. I already love base Goodra, and this is a great upgrade. It’s such a monster on the battlefield with a great Dragon/Steel typing, god tier stat spread and movepool, and 3 good abilities depending on what you want. You can run this slimy friend however you want, and I like that

There is only one fairy type that actually concerns hisuian goodra: iron valiant. Know why? 'Cause iron valiant is also a FIGHTING TYPE!!! Hisuian Goodra is weak to fighting! Fairy/Fighting is the signature type combination of Iron Valiant.

Just when I was about to start building my tera raid H.Goodra for online fights. Perfect timing. Also a little update from my latest teambuilding inspired by you and a lot of other commentors amazing mindset "Using your favourite Pokemon to win". I build two teams including my fav pokemon swampert. One with the goal to make swampert an "immovable" object (it has counters of course) with sap sipper and the other consists only of gen 3 (my fav gen) including all three titan starters. I just felt the need to mention my success cause it's the first time I throughly planned my teams for competititve use and had success with. Only played some online battles in Ultra Moon before. If anyone is interested at all I can share the teams.

When I saw this video come out I was so exited because goodra is one of my top favourite pokemon, next could you try out one of your creative sets with clawitzer. I haven't seen much of him at all

I remember making a special attacking version It’s main goal is to scout/ be a nuisance Sap sipper tera ground Max HP, split special atk and Def with assault vest Acid spray, dragon breath, chilling water, mud shot Either they suffer from speed drops or risk taking more damage

I used to run chesto berry Snorlax with rest, body slam, and sleep talk back in leaf green. I can't remember what the last move was but the rest chesto berry combo reminded me of it.

If you were running the standard anti competitive set then it was probably Earthquake to counter Steels

I am BEGGING for a Glaceon team. They are naturally bulky and hit specially like a truck. They get Freeze-Dry, Blizzard, Shadow Ball, Rest, Hyper Voice, Chilling water, not to mention Calm Mind and Baton Pass. Set up Aurora Veil next to its Ice Body or Snow Cloak and it can live for YEARS.

Someone else learned this tactic? I am glad welcome to the club. Although I run mine with shell bell instead of the berry xD. Physical Hisuian Goodra curse, gyro ball body press and dragon claw. A man after my own heart sir. It has been one of my ace pokemon alongside physical Eelektross in Scarlet and Violet for a while.

I’ve been using a H-Goodra with Shell Armor on Showdown. Baton Pass a couple Def/SpDef boosts on it, and all of a sudden none of the Miraidon/Kyogre/Urshifu/Calyrex matter in the slightest.

I want to see you experiment with doubles so bad. Your skills for reads and calc is surprisingly high teir, you can have a Gliscor with poison heal amd left overs and use on of your own pokemon to poison it with toxic then throw in tera water crab hammer, have another pokemon with water absorb and I think you catch my idea
