I’m just baffled how shinmen actually hits _almost_ every shot, I feel Franco’s hook is much easier to hit than Novaria’s 2nd skill 💀 Edit: ok, I made this comment when novaria first released, I couldn’t hit anyone as I was still trying to figure out how fast it is and its hitbox.. but now I will admit that she’s much easier to hit than with franco’s hook, her ball is much faster so less reaction time than when its franco’s hook

She's a very teamfight oriented mage. Vision, hit box increase, poking ability, slow, has phase movement. She's like an Yve with longer range and probably better. That hero built for 5 man pub/tourney

she's actually effective as a support, her passive is helpful for vision, so always use her skills.. Her ult is pretty good too, specially when taking objectives

Nah.. she won't get enough items to even be effective for pokes.. you're basically picking her just to be an observer ward.. better pick Natalia or a tank if your only goal is to check bushes..

It feels like she has no real passive because it's a copy paste from the effects of her other abilities. and some other mages also give a good amount of visibility without having it integrated to their passive ( though I've got nothing to say against the huge ass vision that her ULT gives , that is perfect ) , also the vision she gives from the first stage of her second skill only last for some miliseconds which is a bit sad and i get the feeling that her slow is a bit negligeable? As for her damages she does delete 50% of a target HP but she can't actually kill it really fast if you get what i mean , which is why to me she is only here to remind you to recall when you're low in HP. Although she doesn't shine and doesn't change the outcome of a match in SoloQ , she is definitely a must in a 5men team. And she has as much cons as pros

@@Enmusubinokami yes.. pretty much she's good to pick, not a must have, and is not worth it to ban.. she's good if you and your team knows how to play around her.. most of the time she's just plain useless because your team dies for diving even though you haven't started on your pokes yet.. I do enjoy playing her because she's so rewarding but it is very frustrating how my teammates always blame me because I "wasn't in the fight" even though I always top in hero damage dealt.. you don't need to see Novaria in your screen just to see her impact.. she's literally built not to be seen.. and she's not your burst mage who can kill everyone with one combo.. it's like playing Eudora but you only spam her first skill and nothing else..

@@lmntsgames3848 when playing Novaria you'll ALWAYS be on the other side of the team fight to deal the most damages possible that and she can only shoot once every 5 seconds ( with 45% cdr ) which makes her pretty idle on team fight. Really , most of time her only purpose is to increase hit box , and her damages are barely noticeable if the ennemy's team comp is extreme tanky ( Athena and twilight armor go brrrrr ) She is the litteral definition of a mid character. Not dangerous but not a must as you stated. Her burst really lacks compared to other burst mages like kadita , kagura and such... Which is why some changes on novaria would be very much appreciated, starting from changing her passive because I'll never say it enough but moonton just copy pasted the effect of her other skills and expected the players not to notice

I think she is really good, late game she has reveals all the time and her shots make the enemy not to play too agressive, i also like to use her s1 quite a lot not just focusing on her s2. I build enhancted talisman with ice queen wand and glowing wand for extra slow from and additional hp damages. Also late game she does reveals like every 18 secs wich is so useful.

her 1st skill is better. Her 2nd skill is for sniping enemy who tries to escape. Her ult is useful especially if you're running 5 man team. Start the clash by revealing all enemies. Is she worth it tho? No. I'd rather use Vex, Vale, Gord, or Valir.

@@ddsxdffff4704 I'd choose Estes or Angela over her tbh. High elo? If you know how to engage, you should know how to disengage. Larger hitbox? Is there a player in 'high elo' who are just standing? Even I, a low star mythic , is always on the move. Zoning? Tanks or other mages can do that more efficiently. Whenever I play tank, my team were never afraid of anything from Noveria. I always call her "free star chick". I am not saying she's really useless. However, I don't recommend her when you're just a solo player. There are other supports or mages who does better job than her. Or I guess, I'm just confident in my supporting skill. Before you get mad, I played her. I spend hours in the custom room for experiments then classic before rank. I know her capabilities. I never lose a battle with her on the opponent's side. however, I won plenty using her. For now, she's just not worth it. Not yet. Maybe they'll put a buff in the future.

Are you kidding me rn? I mentioned them, because if you're just looking for zoning or breaking ambushes before it happens, there are plenty of other options. Several Angela players? Please don't compare myself to those subpar Angela players that don't even know how to choose appropriate emblems, appropriate gear, or appropriate map location.

Just letting you know when you aim your 2nd skill you have to aim it first the opposite way your walking since you need to get as much stacks as possible the higher the stacks the higher damage. It sucks how it doesn't show in the move's description so I had to find this out all by myself.

So my argument with her is that she isn’t weak if you are a skilled mage player you can absolutely become a nightmare. I’ve seen it happen and it has happened to me. I do agree she’s more support/damage though

She's fun to poke enemies from afar, may not get all the keels but dang she racks some nice pair of ASSist and zero deaths. I always tell my team to take advantage of her ult, not only does it give vision but their hit box goes big so they can hit their skill shots easily, oh and it has some nice slow effect too. My build is a toss between negative pen or just good ol traditional burst, altho lately been trying 45cdr. It annoys the enemies alot, may not have much damage but still quite fun.

depends on how you play her, the key is for you to not get caught and always keep your distance far to maximize your skill 2 damage

Defending Mid using Novaria is actually great. It doesnt matter if the skills sometimes don't hit, you can use her skills to peek through bushes and give enemies a hard time pushing turrets. She's also a great support especially with Wanwan ( cause sometimes Wanwan's ulti leaves a few HP left) and since she can go through walls, it's much easier to roam and help around.

That “Nani” was the best part. Please repeat that again in further contents.

My thoughts on playing her: Paper thin, a few hits then she's dead and I've played Layla and other squishies. She's the squishiest one. 2nd skill needs to be automatic. Her 2nd skill needs a wind up before you can actually use it. Just let me aim and phase through walls. Her ult is only useful because Moonton removed the sound effects when using skills/clearing jungle. If they didn't remove that, her ult is basically just a debuff. At least, add a buff to your allies when in range of the ult, like increased defense or something. Might play her again to get a better gist of her.

Novaria primarily excels as a support hero, as her magic scaling is low, making it impractical to prioritize burst damage. Instead, it is advisable to focus on cooldown reduction (CDR) to enhance skill spamming. Her ultimate ability is extremely beneficial for locating enemies, and the increased hitbox assists both Novaria and her teammates in landing skillshots. The slow effect of her ultimate can be likened to Hylos, making it valuable for initiating or disengaging teamfights. Additionally, her second skill provides excellent mobility, increasing her availability and serving as an improved version of Flameshot.

I was thinking the same thing. Using the slows from her first skill to inflict anti heal to enemies would be a pretty good support role. Just give vision and slow plus necklace of durance would be a viable support.

What i love about her 2nd skill is, whenever pesky fighters tries to catch me (aldous ult for example) i'll just press 2nd skill and stays inside a rock or run outside of map.

I find her ultimate very useful though. The slow is very helpful in teamfights and the length of the vision is even longer than Aldous ult

I find her pretty underwhelming as her "flameshot" is easy to dodge if she don't miss to start with. Her first skill is also easy to avoid the damage and her ult is the equivalent of a support skill at best with a tiny increase of hit box which is meh. He best aspect is probably her mobility with second skill and ability to go thru walls and you might as well use Faramis if that's what gets you off for he has better skill set.

They should've labelled her Support/Mage. Although it's mostly comes down to skill with her 2nd skill honestly. I just put myself in the mindset of both Franco and Hanzo. Her ult isn't just a tiny hitbox increase (doubling the hitbox isn't tiny wtf), it is essentially the ultimate counter to ambushes and also does slow, which for support standards is absolutely busted. Her first skill is great for clearing waves but I do agree that it could use more slow ok it since it's pretty easy to escape

Support Novaria i focus on cd, mid Novaria def damage build skill 2 + FS can kill a squishy hero and it definitely feels good when you last hit an enemy

She is more like a support than an actual mage I guess. Maybe I am wrong.

Nova is really a game changer

Im a novaria main and i say she is weak but she is strong at the same time she can help do extra damage to teamates and novaria relays to her teamates to finish the kill or if the enemy runs you can snipe the enemy to get the finishing kill and the alt is usefull for looking for enemys
