I was addicted for more than 10 years. I’ve been sober for nine years. I’ve been on probation for seven years. Finally gonna be off in January of next year and not only is the first step you have a problem it’s admitting that you hate yourself I couldn’t get better until I started loving myself first, then I could show my kids and My Wife to love that they deserve the fight is hard but you gotta understand that devil will take you down because not only does he get to affect you he gets to affect your family, your friends and everyone who loves you so he just doesn’t get you. He gets everyone if you need help please call that number you will be so much happier. Please love yourself.

The co star in this music video is Mic Devine. He wrote a song called "Way Down We Go". He dedicated to his friend Dave who he lost to a OD. So the emotions he shows in this music video is his real pain from his loss of his friend. I love how Joyner always gives both perspectives in his songs. "I'm Sorry" is another that hits me in my soul! He definitely knows how to reach everyone in his music! He's one of the greats that's for sure! Idk of any other musician like Joyner, NF and Tupac that make me cry listening to their songs. 🎵 🎶 Also if you dk bout addiction, there is a hereditary factor in it. DNA analysts can tell if you yourself didn't do drugs but your parents did. Not to mention ppl not really acknowledging the fact Dr's n hospitals got ppl addicted n then didn't wean them off meds.. just took them n told em bye n good luck. Js

It was the darkest point for me, at the time Juice WRLD (RIP to a Legend) helped me get out of it. If this song was out then it'd be on repeat. If anyone reads this and feels like the only time they matter is when nothing else does, call your parents, your granma, auntie, whoever and open up. If you ain't got that, there aint any shame in calling a help line. Do what you gotta do to love and respect yourself.

This was perfection. I've seen it several times and it impacts every time. Jellyroll has a gift with his voice and I'm so glad that the world gets to experience it and it didn't get wasted. He spoke recently to Congress about Fentanyl and I thought it had a lot of impact bc he truly knew both sides of the story and had facts to back up what he said but the delivery was on point. Great reaction too Shaq! SC Strong!

Shaq, I'd like to let you know that I'm a big fan. I started watching you a few years back. In 2016 I lost my oldest brother to Fentanyl at 41yrs old. With myself being 9yrs younger, our only main connection was Hip Hop/Rap music. He wasn't computer savvy so he would come to me to to burn him CD's or throw some mp3s on a USB drive and we would just sit here listening to new tracks together. That being said, I just want to thank you for filling that void. I feel like I can at least have someone to have that experience with that has the same love he did for the music. Thank you.

Songs like this are much needed by artists today, and I thank Joyner for picking up the mantle and helping carry the burden. He isn't being self-serving here, rapping about his money, his jewels, or his cars. He's telling a story that needs to be told, and telling it in a way that will resonate with a lot of people. Respect

Nobody helping me but me. Do drugs. Don't let the drugs do you. Moderation is key. My life ain't better or worse because of my choice to use.

Sorry man that’s just not true, I’m not trying to pick a Fight but it’s important people know this, addiction has been classified as a disease since 1987, alcoholism even early in 1956 was classified as a disease. I know you might feel it’s not a disease based on your personal experience, but if everything you said about yourself is true, I don’t think you’re an addict and probably wouldn’t be diagnosed as one, but that’s very rare and that doesn’t mean it’s NOT a disease. So saying it’s not would put you in complete contradiction to the entire medical field.

You were right this definitely hit hard for me. Lost a close friend i knew since elementaey school in 2022 to alcohol/drugs and joyners first verse hit hard. Especially since me and him had a couple of falling outs and got more distant before it happened. Always tried to help him and get his stuff together but it was hard being a single parent with a toddler, he sent one song to me the night before he passed and between listening to that and this it hits different. Hard to help people you love when they cant help themselves but all we can do is hope and try and give love.
