This Lure SLAYS Panfish!

Спорт

Join me for a quick overview and field test of the Z-Man Micro Finesse Larva-Z soft plastic lure. This is my first time trying the lure and it drove the bluegill and other panfish crazy!
The Rod/Reel used here is a Daiwa Revros LT 1000 combo with a 5'6" rod. Line is Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon in 2lb test.
The jig heads I used in this video are the I-Fish BG-1 MicroJig Heads, designed and sold by Victor over at the I_Fish KZread channel. They weigh 1 gram and have a size 12 Japanese hook. Awesome for panfishing! Check his channel and site out for more information.

Great review of these baits, as well as some awesome fish. You said you didn't know what they were made of, well that real stretchy stuff is called Elaztech. I don't know the property make-up of it, but keep them away from regular plastic baits. If not, both will be ruined for sure...

They are very good for panfish and micro plastic lures. Definitely recommend trying some. It’s hard to find a jig head with a size 12 hook that has that much weight to it. You can cast them a mile on 2lb test line.

Finally got to try these out today and I've gotta say that I'm disappointed. These were extremely interesting to me from the first time I saw them as some of my favorite panfish lures look similar to these. Unfortunately I just didn't have much success on them. Of course it was only the first day so maybe it was just a bad day or bad time of day or bad color choice. Looking forward to trying them again and hopefully I'll be proven wrong. Looks like you did pretty well with them.

That stinks! The bite was off for me this week, also. Hopefully that’s all it was. Those little lures definitely work. I had a tough time getting anything to bite on my last trip. Even the trout magnets, which usually always work well.

@@pistolcreek Thanks. I've never used any of the Zman soft plastics before, but picked up several different ones recently to try out. I used the Shad FryZ yesterday and did really well with some bigger bluegills and largemouths. I was pleasantly surprised cause I thought it might've been too big for the bluegill, but it wasn't. Still have the TicklerZ and GrubZ to try out, hopefully later this week.

I have used the 1 gram size, which is close to a 1/32 ounce. To make it fit, try trimming about an 1/8” off the head end of the Trout Magnet so it goes on the shorter shaft of the BG-1. Thanks for watching and good luck out there!👍🐟

These z-man larvas are great for different types of species of fish. also the fish doesn't waste any time on biting them. Here's the two problems with these little z man larvas. 1 is they only give you eight pieces, I think it is. 2 the tails will break off after a while, once you catch too many fish. That's the downside to these

  • @pistolcreek
