I just started working in the trash collection business last month and had to watch a video on "hot loads" during orientation, can confirm that is exactly what is supposed to be done. for those curious the steps after realizing you have a hot load is to 1 close your compactor blade as much as possible to attempt to starve it of oxygen 2 find an open area away from combustion hazards (empty parking lots are a good candidate) 3 dump the load and move your truck away from it 4 contact emergency services and put out any fires on your truck 5 Contact your supervisor 6 secure the area until emergency personnel arrive 7 clean up ( company sends out equipment to assist with that ) P.S. please don't put batteries in the trash, or anything thats still hot.

And also footage of the driver playing with the cat on earlier visits. Didn't they give him some gifts because he had been good to their cat? That's heartbreaking, to see him calling for his buddy, not knowing that he's gone.😢?

May not be batteries. Food waste and organic materials can spontaneously combust due to chemical reaction. Look up how compost is made.

If you follow up on the video and look at the socials he included, you'll find that it had a sad but positive ending. Ended up getting the driver gifts and really made his days better.

For anyone wondering about the wind turbine, my father works at one of the sites so I have some knowledge. Wind turbines actually really only take at most three days to put one up, it’s just the materials that are really expensive to acquire that is the most damage really. Also, they throughly clear the land before building a wind farm and even if they are relatively close to any houses, it’s still miles/kilometers away and how it snapped the pieces would barely be a kilometer away from the base of the turbine. So no humans or animals would have been hurt when this happened. 😊

I absolutely love how the lunch box just exploded and they were like "ohhHHh"
