    @@Man-wk4us no its not? literally top lucios like frogger will tell you that its horrible to constantly go back and forth. it doesnt allow either enough heals nor enough boost to cause any Real effect, meaning you become basically a useless support when you do that. the issue is that this is competitive, not quickplay. overtime can win or lose the game, as well, he did it during the match and not just the victory screen or as they capped the final checkpoint, which is the issue

    hey its me, yeah I spam crossfade out of habit and its been a nightmare to stop lol, its a bad habit I picked up halfway through OW1. I only play that aggressive when I realize they can't aim, so I do apologize for playing so aggressively but when I realize I'm not being hit I figure I may as well take up the space. edit to add i'm now further in the video and you screaming at me to stay on heals is my inner monologue to myself as my pinky spams shift 🤣my inability to wall ride without spamming my pinky is what made me step away from lucio lol... and yes i'm really really new to lifeweaver so i was lost. My left hand was injured years back, its mostly fine but I had trouble trying to learn how to wall ride and crossfade so I started doing this thing where i rock my hand, it started as a speed boost into a wall jump for movement but it just devolved into what you see, I'm trying to slow it down and control it more lol. I find it very funny myself when i watch my own replays so I'm glad others found it as funny

    I totally understand being more aggressive if you realize the other team can’t aim, but you being that far up put you in a position to get easily killed with visor. Positioning is still important, even if the other team is bad. That way you can react to ultimates & counter them instead of just dying immediately.

    may be worthwhile to learn a less movement intensive hero that's not lw (respectfully, he sucks) if you're looking to climb. zen is a good pocket pick to have in the current meta, ana & kiri both would have been better picks into their team instead of what you had also.. otherwise just have fun man 😭

  • @sethescope

    I can totally understand and appreciate how difficult it can be to unlearn habits that you've fallen into, ESPECIALLY when they're habits that started off with good intentions. tbh, my personal experience has been that I was more successful with breaking the habit when I forced myself to always have a specific, articulable reason for doing it. for me, it was spamming super jump as Mercy in overwatch 1. it was a fun tech that took effort and time to learn so when I mastered it, of course I wanted to do it all the time lol because I COULD and it was fun. so back then and still to this day, I don't do it unless I have an actual reason and you know what, I feed less often and contribute a lot more value. working on this will also help you slow down and be intentional. you need a good reason for anything you do. you never want to do anything just because, you never want to do anything mindlessly or on auto pilot. it's okay to slow down. it might be a good idea to commit to staying on heal or speed for a few seconds whenever you switch modes, just to force yourself to slow down. you're in bronze and silver, those super fast crossfades are not going to make or break your games. work on constantly asking yourself why. why are you on speed right now? why are you on healing? why are you positioned where you are? why aren't you doing something else? asking yourself these questions will help you develop your decision making abilities. you will never learn to make good decisions consistently unless you first get into the habit of making conscious decisions consistently. it doesn't matter if they're the wrong ones. just make decisions intentionally.

  • @sethescope

    @@KhaoRose meta is completely irrelevant below masters. it's not the hero you play that matters, it's being able to play them competently, it's knowing how to play them with and against any combination of heroes. I agree that adding to their hero pool will most likely be super helpful for this person! 1000% I'm with you there. having options is a very good thing! but making a decision based on meta isn't the play.

    The thing with the music switching is that this is how a lot of lucios learn how to play him! A lot of the high level lucios (more so in OW1 I think but still in 2) use the track switch to control their speed and movement while also making it so they arent one consistent speed making them much more evasive. Problem is a lot of lower rank see him "just spamming" the button and think that's how you get value. Eventually you figure it out but seeing as the guy is stuck in silver I'm not surprised it's still in the unrefined random button mashing state.

  • @ryujedong

    @ryujedong

    3 ай бұрын

    @followeroftheprince depends on how often theyre swapping. Quite often you'll swap once or twice during the amp up duration - starting on an initial burst of speed to get in or out of the fight then swap to heal for the last second or two to handle the dmg taken in a better location, so you get a second or two of each buffed up aura. In the scenario where you might be 1v1ing more than team supporting though frequent swapping the auras helps with personal speed and height control to some degree which can make it easier to land certain wall rides and mix up their speeds to throw off opponents. Doing this around your teammates tends to just throw off their aim and annoy them. The constant swapping doesn't give any bonuses for the auras it just means a nanosecond of a couple of hp and a nanosecond of moving slightly faster on constant cycle the way this player did it for example. Hope that helps!

    This feels like a time capsule for every starting out Lucio main (or at least me), the spamming crossfade, booping enemies away instead of into your full hp team, jumping all over the cart praying no one hits their shots, amping if someones lost 2 hp. • @someGuy-kl7cb
    @someGuy-kl7cb3 ай бұрын

    so i will defend the art of switchspamming in that if used properly, its a VERY powerful tech, that basically makes it impossible for you to be hit. since constantly switching up your speed fast and slow makes it EXTREMELY hard for enemies to land shots. since its impossible to keep up with a tempo thats constantly shifting. its like A/D strafing. that being said, if your just constantly spamming it, all your doing is making it harder for your ALLIES to hit their shots, because if your creating a pattern, it defeats the purpose of making your movement speed unpredictable.

    Once I pulled a Rein doing a 1v5 and 3 teammates were running from spawn and I had just caught up to Rein. The other team was capping point and I pulled him because he has, not even, 1/4 of his health left. I'd say 1/6. I pulled him away to heal and he was so mad. He said to never pull him off of a point again because they were about to cap it. I told him that they would cap it anyways, he was about to die and it's best to regroup. He wasn't having it. So, I quit pulling him and saved it for someone else. Then he was mad I wouldn't pull him from other 1v5s. I told him to stop going in 1v5 when everyone is running back from spawn. So, I understand the life weavers who are hesitant but you're right. That's on the tank if they get mad and it was in their best interest.

    does he think that there's a persistent heal\speed effect on lucio like moira's heal? So this is what a moira main looks like when she's already picked.

    There are moments where apamming crossfade is good, namely duels. Bc it changes your movement speed abruptly it males your harder to hit. But for your team it's just putting off their aim and confusing.

    yeah its a problem i actually struggle to stop, because i don't want to do it i've tested if i'm still healing and I am there doesn't seem to actually be a minimum on the time needed for one tick of the healing... but really its a bad habit i'd rather not keep doing lmao

    no its shift i promise you, my hand was hurt like 2 decades ago and my pinky doens't work right, back in ow1 i tried to learn how to wall jump and crossfade and the same time and started rocking my hand to do it. now its a terrible habit i'm trying to break lol. TBH changing it to scroll wheel would probably help me, but thats my ping

    @wingnutmcmoomoo494 just a question for movement do you have a secondary jump button binded to either scroll up or down? Cuz once you get used to it, it makes movement so much smoother (b-hopping, jump timing, as well as actually looking smother compared to jumping with space)
