Nick is a real life super hero!! I hope his small business stays open forever and may he have many blessings ahead for his good deeds!!
Wow! I think Nick is one of the Best Comic Book guys ever! We Need More Guys like Nick! Thank You!
I am truly impressed with Nick and his store. The fact that he supports various charities is just awesome. I always say this, but the comic book community is the best community out there (we just ignore the toxic members). Great video, Mike! I like the interview format.
Very cool changeup from usual video format! I respect how much Nick is hustling for his small business and still quietly supporting charity. Stand up guy, great store and finds 👍
More Nick please. What a cool guy.
FF 51 is one of the greatest stories ever. I bought it when it came out and my 13 year old self was blown away.
What a great story. After reading how difficult it is to run a comic book shop it’s amazing to hear how he gives to charities. I had a friend who ran a comic book shop and he said some months you barely get by so l am impressed he does this. Very inspiring Nick. You have a heart of gold my friend!
Wow- what a great store, owner and story 😊
MOVE IT OUT!! I used to own a chain of comic book stores, seven locations. I was destroyed during the early 1990s gimmicky comic book crash. Lessons I learned.....1) understand allllllll the various taxes in your area as it's a silent killer to any mom/pop business. I had the sign tax, sandwich sign tax, display case tax, environmental tax, workman's comp, unemployment insurance, matching social security, check alllll those phone bill taxes too!! 2)Never fall in love with your inventory, MOVE IT, clear out those Aisles!!!! Always run sales! Don't get buried with nickel and diming customers, MOVE your inventory and make them happy to come back again and again!! It's $$$$$$ you will need when the going gets tough. I would Never do another brick and mortar as I know all the headaches involved. Government doesn't care as there is always the next dreamer with his life savings who may replace you. If I did start again I would definitely have an online presence on Ebay, etc.
Nick seems like a wholesome Guy . May the Lord continue to Bless his business.
I love your music! Reminds me of the 80's early 90's
Always good to hear about businesses supporting nonprofits…kudos to Nick for paying it forward and to you, Mike, for using your platform to shine the light on this.
If its that good a deal always remember "low grade is better than no grade" ..
I really appreciate how they write notes about the particular issues with the older back issues - and it's actually perfect for those of us who don't care about grading because a couple little doodles by a kid in the 60s will lower the price but it's still a totally fine and readable book. would love to see that in more stores

Wow! I just put Nick’s Comic Strip on my list of comic book stores to visit. He sounds like a really cool guy!
Man, you have such great shops in your area! I would have loved to see more of Nick's store section by section. It's always awesome to window-shop thru the internet.

That's a human being in every sense of the word. Heck yes! I love this channel ❤️💯👍
Amazing comics and what a cool story about Nick’s! That’s awesome of him to be so generous.
Holy crap! I was just there today and I also bought a run of uncanny X-Men! I love this store. I had no idea about their giving to charity. ❤
What a great experience! Nick seems like a great human being! Love the silver age pick ups Mike!
I visited this store during my honeymoon in Salem, back in September. I was amazed by the back issue selection and the number of different action figures. I'll definitely visit them again in the future.
I would agree with that X-Men #11 book. That's a fantastic cover!
Nick is awesome and his store is beautifully organized!! I like his philosophy and prices!! Wish I was closer, I'd definitely would frequent his store!! And he donates to charity, wow!!
You’re right is prices look reasonable. Gotta get a hold of Nick to get him to Cliff Con
Great local comic book store for new and old books and toys ❤❤
Wow I'm only 45 minutes from this place and never knew it existed. I will absolutely be stopping by this weekend. I'll let him know your video sent me.

Nick is legit and GREAT books at amazing prices!!!
Nick's looks amazing. I hope him succes.
Great shop and even great owner!
Nice story, I also thinks it’s great when a small business owner gives something back to the community.
Fantastic four 51? Yep. 1st appearance of the negative zone. Very cool issue. Very good story.
Sounds like an amazing shop Great owners and wonderful customer service go a long way sounds like Nick definitely goes above and beyond.
My favorite part was Nick's killer Boston accent! Great stuff for a great cause. Wish I lived closer I'd defiantly stop in!

Lol I’ve worked very hard to suppress mine but 5 minutes with Nick and I started to slip myself!
We need more people like Nick. Really cares about the people Truly a wonderful person .
Nice looking comic shop and he has a lot of nice looking figures.
These are the dudes that make the comic community worth it. Sad there's so few of them I had 3 sellers 70+ one just passed one is in a nursing home and one still going. I've been buying comics And toys from him for over 35 years. I try to get younger poeple into comics every chance I get. Seems like of it isn't on a 3" screen they aren't interested.
Another amazing video. Nick Rocks! Love the Spider Man and X-men comic book.
Nick seems like an amazing business owner and super cool guy! He definitely sets a standard for the LCS of today. I hope many other shop owners see this video and learn a thing or two. And I think winging it worked out perfect for the video. 🙌 Wish I was closer to the Boston area. I’m down in south Jersey. Hopefully I can make it up there some time! Also- great comic book pickups!! 👏
"Got it!" 😆 🤣 That's awesome!!!
Yea that shop rules. It definitely fits my speed 🔥👍🏻 very very cool.
Great video, and great store owner & crew! Loved seeing FF51 - my brother gave me that issue for my last birthday!
"...for all you hahd cava lavas." xD
Always great videos. Love what you do
X-Men #35 hit the stands Thursday June 8th 1967. Cover was by Dan Akins inks Sam Rosen.
I love the music sir. New wave rock vibes - Psychedelic furs, and The Cure…sounds.

LMC! I live in Marblehead and I go to Nicks all the time. Place is awesome. Hopefully I see you there sometime!
That’s amazing, what a beautiful story. God bless Nick and God bless you and your family.
Beautiful store, never seen one better!
thanks for not spoiling This Man This Monster, i know it's like 50+ years old but i just got a Marvel Tales reprint in the mail a couple of days ago and haven't read yet. speaking of reprints i've been grabbing issues of X-Men The Early Years on the cheap to check out that Kirby X-Men stuff.
NO WAY! I'm checking them out tomorrow. Thanks so much LMC i'm in Salem MA and love your content. Hope to run into you one day and meet you. You truly showed me that it doesn't take a lot of money to be able to start a nice collection.

INCREDIBLE store Mike! Thanks!!!
Great video Mike. Nick seems like a great guy and I can't wait to meet him! I will have to hit the shop up soon.
That FF 51 is a classic!
VERY COOL!😃!
That X-men 11 is an $80 book all day with those drawings, what a deal at that shop!
Awesome video Mike! I hope I can visit Nick in his Store one day :) keep it up! Love the videos.
Another great video. Unbelievable knowledge. Thank you Mike. .
Love your channel Mike. Great video, great cause. If I ever make it down to the area I will be sure to hit up Nick's shop as well as a bunch of others you've covered. Keep up the great work.
That shop looks incredible
Great story and what you and Nick are doing is fantastic ❤
Nick sounds like a stand-up guy. It's probably a rarity in the comic books biz.
Good evening Michael Better and better, what a great guy Nick is. Great Chemistry between you both, I would lover to see another show in his store looking at some of those vintage toys. Have a wonderful time at Wicked. Should be worth a 2 hour show! Keep up that great work. The Goldkeyfourcolorkidownunda
That is a great comic shop owner!! The comic community definitely could use more of them. Totally agree about FF 5. Although I want to take it a step further. I think it is one of the best Stan Lee stories to boot. 😀
It's videos like these that sometime make me wish I did live closer to local comic shops, especially ones as beautiful and noble as Nick's Comic Strip. I saw many books you looked at that I need, so I'm going to reach out and see if I can order some because this store needs to be supported. out here doing the good work Mike, thanks for bringing this store to light and awesome pick ups!!!
He’s great, hope to pass by one day and check out the store.
You got some great prices on those books! Nick seems to be quite the gent! Favorite book this week was actually the Morbius #1! I too have been collecting the midnight sons story and that’s one I’m missing
Seems incredible that in a business with such small profit margins, that a store would be willing to give back so much to not only their supporters, but general philanthropy as well. Awesome video, also FF 51 is my favorite cover of all time… so that helps too
This is incredible. Makes me wish I lived in Mass to support this comic shop weekly like I do my LCS lol. Awesome vid!
This was a great presentation 😎👊🏿🤓
It is so awesome seeing a guy that gets it. Customer service and community conscience. Wow what a concept. That used to be the rule rather than the exception. If I lived in that area guarantee that’s the shop I’d be going to on a weekly basis. Thanks for the great video.
I love your channel. But this one was outstanding. Thanks for showcasing a good dude and being one yourself. 😊
I bought some stuff from Nick on whatnot a few months back. He had great stuff with reasonable prices. If I ever make it to that part of the country I would definitely be stopping there.
Nick crushes it!!!!
That's cool. Nice books Nice review.
Looks like a real nice shop. I saw a few keys I would have picked up on the spot. Living in Las Vegas it's hard to get nice keys for a reasonable price. I think it's because the economy here is really good. A lot of collectors make really good money here. The last time I was in Arizona I checked out a comic book shop and couldn't believe how many keys they had and the reasonable prices. I figured the average collector there doesn't make the same kind of income.
That looks like a fantastic shop if I'm ever in that area I'll have to check it out. FF51 my fav
Great books, love the vid👍✔️
I still have the X-Men 35 I bought new. Bought cuz I was a huge Spidey fan. Glad I did.
Did you know that Alex Ross finishes the story of Fantastic Four 51 in his FF story "Full Circle" its a amazing read and the artwork is incredible!
My pick of the three would be hands down the FF #51. I believe Stan Lee also said this was his favorite issue in the run (or maybe even ever?) and it still holds up very well. I still crack it open every once in a while to read it. Great profile on Nick and his comic books store, a very salt-of-the-earth kind of fellow. Getting kids interested and excited about the hobby is important! I hope you run into more quality people like him on your adventures!
Just watched your video and what Nick is doing is fantastic not many people would do that, seen what you bought great comics i have been collecting from the age of 7 love comics , its not so easy getting them for a fair price in the UK so i often buy from the states , look forward to your next video.Paul
Love those X-Men. Great pickups, you are building a great X-Run. Awesome looking shop there too. I’ll definitely stop by if I’m in the area
It’s a cool place. I’ve been there a few times. Great contents!
Hey Mike, thank you for this. As a comic book collector AND 10 year pancreatic cancer survivor, I was so surprised and delighted to hear Nick's was donating to the Lustgarten Foundation! My wife & I take yearly vacations to Salem and will definitely be visiting his shop!

Really like this video. Thanks
I wish there were comic book stores like this in the Pacific Northwest/Seattle area (Portland has a few Ok shops).

Damn that store looks amazing. There is nothing like that near me unless I want to drive 2 hours into LA and deal with all that which I would rather die than do
Guess I'll have to make a trip to visit Nick's Comic Strip -- seem like it's a all around great shop.

Thank you so much!
yeah, I opened a comic book store because I like the little kids... lol It looks like fun, but whenever I visit one of these places I can't stop thinking about how much money they must have invested just in something like 'toy merchandise', and how much they need to earn everyday JUST to keep the lights on! And I can never imagine that ALL of those toys will actually sell eventually, and I assume the manufacturers don't offer to refund for any unsold merchandise... I guess that's why I still work FOR somebody, and don't have the balls to run my OWN business! ;)
