We see many videos where the fishing is prolific, any method will produce. It’s doesn’t really demonstrate what can make a difference or the anglers skill to be honest. This therefore is good to see. I fish a local open nr York where the carp are skittish and most matches won with a hard fought 40lb or less. It’s not overstocked or under stocked, much more rewarding than a fish race. More of these pls Joe.

Spot on Jo, good to assess a session that didn't go quite to plan but would like to see what changes you made on another session 😊

Thankyou for another great video Joe. Could you do one with waggler and mini feeder, for us old gits who find long poles too stressful on worn out shoulder joints ?

Bit hard on yourself here Joe, you still gave some good tips i.e. plumbing to dead depth over weed (even if you find a bit later) is very useful to many I am sure.

Great to see you on a natural venue Joe. Watching a video where you have to work hard for a few pound is as rewarding as watching you catch 100+ pounds, just as it would be if i were fishing myself. Thanks 👍

When I'm going somewhere new I always visit it at least three times to get a feel of the place ,spend a few minutes on every other peg with a pair of polarised glasses on and take the occasional photo... for armed is for warned or some Latin mumbo jumbo... Joe if you can find any I suggest you try poloni flavour hard pellets or ask sonubaits to make them... Absolutely formidable

Good video showing Warts and All Proves that Naturals are so totally different from Commercials when it comes to trying to sort a swim. I was very interested in you commentary which highlighted the constant need to evaluate what next to do to try and keep the fish coming into the net. Based on what I saw I fully agree that your previous matches at this Lake when you caught 24Lbs or so was indeed a very good effort. Thanks for the insight into the reasons why and when you changed. Cheers

Another great video Joe, nice to see you fish a natural lake and letting us know what is going through your mind while you're fishing. Also thanks for showing us how even an experienced match angler like yourself can have a hard day due to how the fishery is going. On another note Joe perhaps you could either let me know or do a video on what floats you would use for mud lines , slapping, shortlined rigs , full depth rigs all on pole for lakes like snake lakes with depths to 8 feet and 2 feet in the margins , also Joe do you know of any companies that sell pole floats online as I'm unable to get out currently due to ill health and want to replace most of my pole floats due to their age 👍🎣🎣🎣

Funnily enough Joe I'm off to an old club venue tomorrow that I expect to fish similar - really looking forward to it. It'll be the first time I've been out in a bit and at least the temperature is more tolerable!

Great video yet again but I have a question ? If the lake is stuffed with roach would a maggot approach bagging up on lots of the smaller fish be an option rather than waiting it out for the bigger fish
