Zico and RM know each other pre debut since underground rapping days. They both made a song called fuck cockroaches. I think RM was 13-14 and zico was 15-16 during that time. They even performed in MAMA together in 2015/16

I love Zico, his rapping is...'catchy', for the lack of a better word.

Zico is a workaholic musical genius [though he is currently serving in the army, doing his national service]. Amazing artist, one of the best. he is up there with G Dragon, Suga, Woozi etc. He formed koz entertainment, and merged it with HYBE prior to his national service, no doubt to ensure the protection of his employees jobs. He is super talented and really nice. as for his rapping, well that speaks for itself.

He is well known as both and underground rapper and k-pop idol. Like Mino and Bobby too, he manages to walk with a foot in both worlds and be respected on both sides, just like the duality of this song. Zimobb - Holy trinity!!

The korean language allows rap to flow more smoothly compared to rap in other languages, like English, where we have more consonants. The language and pronunciation of words allows them more freedom for rhyming words. Several words also end in the same way like -yo, -sa, or -da for example. I saw someone use an example that the words ball and bar rhyme when said by a korean because the way they pronounce r and l are the same. The language has a huge advantage with playing around with lyrics

3:44 exactly I've been listening to rap for years and you get used to the same flows in western rap after a while and then I discovered korean rap music and I'm hooked. They never fail to catch me off guard with the flow switches and the word play in multiple languages is just impressive. Shame the west doesn't recognize K hip-hop for what it is🔥

OMG thank you for reacting to Zico he's really a great artist. I discovered Zico and BTS during the same time in 2016 and I fell in love with both the artists. The first BTS song was BST and the first Zico song was Anti and today they're my most fav artists from Korea. 😍

Zico is one of the legends in kpop along with GD, RM, CL not only because his a very damn good in rapping/singing/dancing but also because Zico's a producer/composer and a great lyricist, all his produce songs hits esp his solo stuff

I love zico! I really got into a zico phase while I was discovering kpop/ BTS I scrolled through various boy groups and found that I really liked Block B's sound and was pleasantly surprised when I found out that zico was their leader! 'Any Song' was stuck in my head for weeks (no thanks to tiktok 😂) and he's still one of the mainstays on my alt playlist (main playlist is bts hah) - if you like zico also check out Loco, crush, Sam Kim, Heize, Giriboy, DPR (❤!!!), ph-1, colde, peakboy etc. 🎉

Ony people that know korean can actually see what a great lyricist he is. He uses a lot of word plays, korean expressions, metaphors and so on that only koreans can fully understand, so if you are already impressed... imagine... hahaha Zico has so many haters, so this song is about that (I recommend "Anti" too). It's REALLY bad the hate he gets... About being dead I guess it can mean music comeback or people trying to cancel him every year with a new lie, but then he drops music and reachs the top in rankings.

When they debuted in 2011 Block B (w/leader Zico) had some bangers that were really interesting and unlike anything else during the time period. I don't know if you read the comments but if you do you might want to react to NILLILI MAMBO. Funny name and just crazy, next level song and video. 7:30 at the part he's probably saying he's was the scapegoat among the scapegoats. Back then he was accused to be involved in a hidden camera scandal because one of his friends(convicted) was involved in it, he was accused by netizens because he had mentioned to sometimes like look at his friend's "golden phone"(the guy had many famous celebrities contact numbers) so he like to skimmed through and see the contacts in a variety show. The case caused an uproar of the nation and anyone related to the people involved in it were bashed by the k-netz. He was one of them. He had just received Best Male Artists award not long before it happened. So he was up there and suddenly hated(when I say hated, I mean extreme hate) by the nation merely for something he said years ago and people think he's related to something else. So in a year he could be dead and revived and these stuff happened lot because he's loved and hated all the time(happened to many famous Korean celebrities). He didn't explain anything about the scandal he was dragged into until he released this song.

He has a solo album released last year called Lucky Man and Bobby won on the Korean rap show called show me the money. Love to see your reaction to the song U Mad m/v by Bobby. I am telling you this my favorite rappers are Zico, Changbin, Han and Suga and then there is Bobby who is really close to my #1. I know you will be blown away.

When Zico started Block B he basically did it so his music could reach more fans. He gets a lot of hate about "are you kpop or hip-hop?" so that's what he means about being in two worlds. He also used to collect a lot of Hello Kitty merch, but he got rid of it because he thought it would negatively affect his image (people wouldn't think of him as a badass rapper) And the word he said at the end? 'Thinking". On a song, Zico will sometimes say the name of the album that the song's on.

He is part of a boy group Winner under YG..has 3 self produced full length solo albums.. Considered one of the best rappers and producers, he is highly respected in khiphop scene..

You should see luizy ft flowsik / recipe. Its a rap track. (Luizy is goes by the name Woodz now btw)

It is possible that Zico (the rapper) got that name because of the brazilian football player Zico (Arthur A. Coimbra). Zico played in Japan and got alot of fame there and in the asian comunitty (same as Ayrton Senna with F1), he was known as サッカーの神様 (God of football) there. One k-pop idol Juninho, got that name because he lived in Brasil in his childhood and got that nickname here, went back to Korea and kept the name. Can someone confirm this for me? I don't know if it could be true or not, but I made the relation.

Zico lived in Japan for a while. His real name is Jiho, but his Japanese friends gave him the nickname Jico. In Korean I don't think they have a 'z' so to speak, but 'j' sometimes comes out sounding like a cross between a z and j sound. So basically when he was looking for an idol/rapper name, he took his Japanese nickname and gave it an English spelling and pronunciation. But yes, there was probably some connection to the footballer as well.

Ok, just check Gwangil Jo - Acrobat, Korea and Rambo, maybe also check Outsider - Loner, etc, but care, they can be faster than ur internet connection)
