Seeing stuff like this when PDP rock band 4 Xbox one drums that were made to work exactly like AN XBOX CONTROLLER were completely void of function to use on pc at all until some niche software was developed in the last 6 months by some Reddit user in python makes this significantly more hysterical

@@guffingtonreal I wish. The drums distributed by PDP came as is and can’t have the firmware updated manually unlike the other make of drums from rock band 4 made and distributed by harmonix. This meant that very quickly PDP drums firmware became obsolete and could not connect to the wireless adapter for PC. PDP never bothered supporting it either so someone else had to make an executable to get it to work wired on PC.

I like how he struggles through YYZ and Bat Country with the drumsticks, but then proceeds to absolutely nail Visions and Caravan bongo-style even though these songs are much harder. Are the sticks really that bad?

It's not so much the sticks it's the act of hitting these pads with the sticks and the hit registering. It's surprisingly inconsistent to stick hits but bongo style works very well

@@acai28 I can only imagine that it's a similar situation to other shitty rhythm game controllers that have a hard time registering lots of sharp fast hits.

The part where he changes the sound of the drums gives me flashbacks to when I did that with my music schools kit back when I played drums. I basically found a dumb setting then played Toxicity.

9:38 If the game audio was left ear, and the sounds coming from that toy were right ear, Acai would just be sitting their playing some obscure Japanese rhythm game for children while completely unrelated clone hero drums gameplay plays to the left.

I was thinking about it at the $111 price point... then I saw that they have a $60 version that's the same drum kit but without the stand and sticks, and I'm very in on this.
