My friend took the whole lot, I was 7/8 so he would have been 11/12. His sister and I went up to the altar to pray. He was standing up praying right by window next to the plate. It wasn’t until some time after that when the church noticed it was all gone. His mum whopped his ass when she found the cash on him in the car park. Which she returned to the church.

I love being able to throw on my tank top and wear the comfiest shorts I got with my slides and not feel like I’m getting stared at/ feel out of place.In your perfect world, people have to dress up or face being ostracized. In my perfect world, people wear what they want to wear. At least in my world, you can dress up if you want and not feel out of place cause it don’t matter. I know looks don’t matter (to an extent) and would rather take pride in my work, what my friends and coworkers say about me, what my fiancé would say about me, ect. My sister did this too, she was around 11 years old and put in a fiver, which was her allowance, and tried to make change for herself. Oh the shock on my parents faces! My Mother, rest her soul. Would talk about it sometimes much later in life and just burst into laughter.

Honestly, I thought about asking for change at Mass the other week but didn’t. I don’t go every week, but something told me I had to that Sunday, and I had not planned on it. All I had was a 50$ in my pocket, and as a college student that’s 50$ more than I had to lose. But when donations came I wasn’t trying to avoid it, even though you’ll never be criticized at my Church for doing so. Gave them my 50, really thought about asking for change.

What do you suggest for west and east for dress code... definitely disciplines required for prayer or worship gathering but times and situations in our world are changing so fast and it is important to be more affectionate in helping transforming to be like Christ in everything. Thanks!

I think definitely we have to think about Padre Pio, and how he would send people out of the conversion at all to change your clothes if the ladies skirt was too short, the same thing for men if they were wearing clothes, not appropriate for Holy Catholic Mass.

back then I wouldn't agree with their dress code but I I've personally known people who dress appropriately hardly miss a Sunday service and are so wicked, deceitful and full of mischief i think it's best they come as they are let God be the judge because in the end it won't be the clothes but what u did for Christ

Yep, a dress code..shorts, wrinkles, t shirts. Not working in the garden look...sorry it is not enough to roll out bed make no effort and go to spent time with the Blessed Sacrament. OK, so throw the I was on my way to work or from work...the Church judges not me...dress codes matter...authentic Catholics have always adhere to dressing properly for Mass...but V2 churches aren't Catholic they're Protestant so my bad...wear what you want.

Well it doesn’t happen often , and when it does they know about it, and quickly it is addressed, the intent was for the lady walking across hunched over.

The church is pathetic. It's so rich and still holding an open hand in front of all members.

Kid was like, "oh! Ya'll taking handouts? Well so am I 💁"

I had a friend that lived out on the edge of a swamp. They made much of their living out there off the creek. But they were the poorest people at our church. I remember once when we were little kids at church. When the offering plate came by he took a 5 dollar bill out. When I said he shouldn’t do that he said “ but I thought it was for poor people !!!”
