I know japanese but still suck at Katakana but the difference between blue and bull would be the －. It elongates the vowel so ブルー is blue and ブル would be bull.

Girafarig is a palindrome because the original design had a black giraffe head instead of the tail so the Pokémon had two heads. Its pre-evolution was a yin-yang inspired ghost duo so the concept of this Pokémon was likely to be a battle between good and evil. Unfortunately, they cut that out and now Girafarig is quite forgettable.
