i only made it to 3 days keeping this vid unlisted cause i wanted it to be a surprise when i finally finished it but im REALLY happy (mostly) with how this all turned out, and its been a butt load of a while since i actually storyboarded something to a WHOLE song
since the day someone came up and told me about this song, i HAD to do something for it cause really it just fits Silentstep so much, how could i not.
Context: Sable the kit, is a non clan born cat, raised by her father Venus who struggles to provide for both of them. As seasons go by, Venus is getting weaker and weaker, then finally makes the decision to drop Sable off in Mistclan where she will be cared for, whilst in return, he is to never return, as the Clans usually despise rogues (Sable is apart of a prophecy so she's an exception, and a young kit unable to fend for herself).
Unhappy and missing her beloved kind father, she runs away to find him, only to stumble upon one of her clan mates over his body. Before passing on, Venus urges her to continue living, to not be consumed by hatred, anger, or revenge; that she is going to do amazing things and that a great destiny awaits her.
Years pass on and on after shes named Silentstar, she meets her kittypet father named Dark, who gave her away to the wilds. At first, she is furious at him for casting her away (just as Venus had done to her) and throwing such a huge responsibility to his former mate, Venus. Guilty about his actions, he explains that he's been dying slowly for a very long time and he can feel the end nearing, wanting to spend his last days with his kin. Silentstar remembers how Venus urged her not to be overcome with hate, plus she wants another chance on having a parent, and accepts her father into her Clan.
Days pass on, and truly he is dying whilst at the same time, Silentstar's kits are being born. The family is overjoyed but one kit is not breathing. Overcome with grief and despair, she takes the unmoving kit to her father, wanting to show him her kit before she goes, asking him to protect the kit in the afterlife. With his last ounce of strength, Dark nuzzles the kit, exhaling his last breath before passing. A miracle happens as the kit coughs and begins mewing. Life has been passed on! This is just the beginning, This Isn't the End!

I've always loved this song. Although its sad that i can relate to the second half/middle of the song, this song has always warmed my heart knowing that it "Isn't the end." This animatic has brought me to tears {In a good way!} Everything was beautifully detailed and tweened smoothly and just so well drawn! I can't wait to see your next post{s} and more artwork! Keep up the amazing work!

Quick question how did silentstar have kits, Unless the cat the kits are laying next to is the father? Or are the kits from like a surrogate cat since silentstar is leader and wouldn't have time to care for kits/ be pregnant?

There is no law/rule stating that a clan leader cant have kids as a leader. In all honesty, deputies take over leadership of their clans all the time, so if a leader did have children, the deputy would take over duties until the kits are weened, so they'd be acting leader for about a moon
