Love the drone footage & those big Montana skies! Good to see Koby is keeping his eyesight healthy so he can see the varmits to chase! Happy Father's Day to the Welker men!

Scott could have pulled out the loader by hand. But he didn't wanna show off and used the BigBud instead. What a nice guy! 😁
Next time you find a crack, drill the ends of the hole before you weld it back up, you can weld the drill spot back in. After you drill the hole look to ensure you found the end of the crack if not it will just continue out of your weld on the other side.
Love the video and it's nice to see you get a little moisture. A little tip from a 30 plus year weldor. Whenever possible drill a hole at each end of them cracks. Cracks can't continue to crack through a round hole. Gouging out the crack is great but drill them holes.
So good to see Brad (The man of many names) back. :) Loader stuck was Colby’s fault because he ate all the carrots so Nick couldn’t see where he was going! Also Brute is not watching you, he is laughing at you. 😜

Agree, Nick needs a Guardian Angel some days - like all us farmboyz.
Nick, planting a payloader?? 😉😎
Two types of spray booms, 1.Ones who have been welded 2. Those that will be. The length of booms now are so long that they can do some big damage when they move quickly.
"It's almost like you did that on purpose!" says the Bradster!
I was totally impressed how easy you all made that look. The raw power that the Bud produces to get something like that done boggles the mind.
I just love yall's channel. Both informative and entertaining. I think this should be MANDATORY viewing for anyone who eats! I want to see a skill you guys don't have. Farmers have to know how to do SOOOO many diverse tasks! Personally I admire and respect farmers. Thank you and keep up the good work!
And the tractor said to the loader. ‘’ THIS BUDS FOR YOU!”😅
DANG!!!! 😮 That BIG BUD yanked the Loader out like a Tonka Toy!!!!😅
I know the feeling with rain, up here in east central alberta we got about 2” of rain in may but not more than a slight mist ever since, haven’t seen a good rain in June yet and the crops are starting to show it, 4 years in a row now. It’ll change eventually though just gotta stay positive
Preheating (oxyfuel, propane, nat gas) the metal around the areas you're about to weld will help keep the weld heat from expanding and contracting the surrounding metal as quickly. This will help the metal stay more malleable and take shocks/loads better in the future.
Never stuck a loader - but I once had the KME 100 ft Aerialcat sink though the blacktop road. It was a 'mere' 26 ton truck. No mud either - lol - just poor roads and not enough rock base below. I feel your pain.
Says the moisture in the ground isn't that deep. Proceeds to bury the tractor up to the deck 🤣🤣😂😂
Dig that hole out, fill it full of some of those Boulders
He wasn't stuck ... just testing and evaluating for proper and efficient way to landscape. That Big Bud and rope got it done. Awesome!
The Drone pictures of the weather, absolutely stunning
Big Bud - RESPECT!!
The Bud was like, EFF your Deere!
Nick you're fired getting stuck too much😂😂😂
Loved the opening with the storm in the back ground!! You all made pulling that loader out look easy!! Like if weighted like nothing!
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. The big bud pulled that payloader out very easy. No problem. Did not even sweat. Where did that hole come from??! Interesting. I would do the necessary dirt work around the pond you showed us. That spillway could cause bigger problems unless fixed. Put that on your fix it list. The old sprayer is coming apart. Has done it’s duty over the years. When will the big brute sprayer be ready??? Sounds like you have seeding and spraying to do yet. Hang in there everyone. Get er done. Thanks for the drone footage at the beginning of the video. Was absolutely beautiful with the music. Thanks so much for that. Colby got her carrots for the day. All for now. Sending prayers and blessings for some rain and moisture for your area. God watch over you all. Thanks The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.

I love the drone views. The sky and that vast landscape are amazing. Thank you for sharing it. Please stay safe, and God bless.
Hi Nick, it's a pity you couldn't get the sprayer boom welded before some bird landed & crapped all over it. I'm sure Scott will take a look & fix it properly when you've finished spraying. 😂🤣😂

The immense vastness of your farm and area are mind blowing! Such a beautiful area
I watched a lot of your videos and this video was one of the most educational on sprayer booms and the most entertaining on getting stuck. I've never seen anyone get stuck so far that you were literally walking onto the deck of the cab. Thank God for BIG BUDS to pull you out!!!!!!!
Wowwww! The opening drone shots were amazing. Great video.
Scott and Dad really get things Done !

I wish we could send some of this rain. There’s an Alabama this week toward y’all we’ve had 10+ inches and it’s a 50% chance of rain every day next week. It was only a 50% chance of rain this week and we got 10 inches.
fun video and the Big Bud is always amazing. Also, thank you, Bob, Nick and Scott, got my Bud steel filings this week and hope that you sold out!. Love it. Take care and God bless.
The difference between farming and loving. Finding the wet spot when you’re farming usually doesn’t end well
Not sure which to start with, so I'll go in order of appearance... The case of cracks in the sprayer wings is a perfect example of the fact that farmers have been using their welding equipment to print machinery since long before cnc came along. The only difference is that they start with a machine and slowly replace it with weld bead!!! As for that digger, I will never question the pulling power of a BIG BUD!!! I thought that digger was going to be a bit of a challenge, but the Bud dragged it out like it was a quad bike! Those thing's are more amazing then I thought and I already thought they were pretty amazing. Keep up the good work guys 😊👍👍👍👍
That reservoir is looking good. Watch out for sparks from the grinder and welder hitting the chrome finish on the hydraulic cylinders when you are repairing the sprayer boom. If too many sparks get directed to the same spot it can cause the chrome finish to pit or fall off and tear up the seals. Thanks for the video.
Great story on the reservoir Nick. Lord led you on getting those repairs done. Crazy how the overflow happened to find a path. Have a great growing season. 🙏
Enjoyed the nature walk. Nice way to end my day, weather has been very pleasant by us as well
You guys have so much fun I remember the first time I saw your channel years ago with all your friends over jumping an old car and a camper and bob was in the middle of all that keep smiling boys
Nick the blue angels are coming to Billings second week of August. Yellowstone national airshow. Bring the family. Only thing cooler than the big buds.
Love the drone shot, beautiful country
I once saw someone bog a loader like that. Just once in 61 years, good job Nick!
I’ve had a caterpillar stuck so deep that I had to step down to the seat, and that it took her six tractors, hooked onto a road for, and pulled out the fun to get stuck in the mud. That’s a godly redneck says have fun, be safe and may our God bless.
Pulling that loader out...SOOO easy...those Big Buds really do have the POWER...and traction! Amazing!
Man big bud has some power
Now a Big Bud combined with a wheel loader would be epic. Like a Big Bud front end and cabin and a wheel loader arm.
Always a little excitement, even the dog having a few carrots.
1) For the dam/ reservoir, maybe consult with a dam engineer/ dam rulebook. A short distance of concrete or other material 'half pipe & pipe overflow' might be necessary to take the water away from the dam face and dam crest. 2) I was always told to cover the exposed chrome of hydraulic cylinder rods with welding blanket etc when grinding or welding nearby.
Drill the ends of the cracks and use the grinder to clean them out. Welding on top of them doesn't do much.
Wow! Whole new respect for Big Bud!
The Power Of Blue. I'm glad you bought a Miller welder. It's my favorite welding company.
I have seen a lot of things pulled out of stuck situations before but nothing that got pulled out with that force and power. Seriously that Big Bud has some serious force when it pulls!
Hate to add to your sprayer nightmares but, If you look where that arm pivots on both sides, most likely you'll see wear in the pivot bushings. Those boom sprayers are known for that. Wouldn't hurt to check them while you're replacing all those parts.

Hope your weather is good out there in another week we will be out on the east side of Montana doing road work in Sydney
hi from Norway nice to see you again
Hi Nick. I’m not trying to say I know more than you do, cause when it comes to farm equipment I am on the step below NOOB. But in the Aircraft industry before we repair any crack our procedures require us to find the very end of the crack and drill a hole. We call it “Stop Drilling”. The size of the bit is determined by the thickness of the metal. Once both ends of the crack are stop drilled, the cracks are repaired and a metal patch is placed over the area to stiffen the area of flex. Of course in the Aircraft industry the size of the stiffener patch and the placement is determined by an Aircraft structural engineer. It’s hard to do anything anymore without having to pay an Engineer to give you his blessings to make structural repairs. If you are having cracks reappearing you might try stop drilling. Just a thought
Love your vids I'm from northern Aroostook county Maine presque isle For the last month we been getting rain we have gotten 17 inches of rain and it's still raining here on father day pouring out
Thank you for making family friendly videos that I can watch with my kids
That was a stunning display of raw power. What a show...
I love the drone footage! Some mighty fine massive big fields you folks have. Could you do more drone footage? You should put together a collage of all your drone footage into one video with music too it.
Y'all need the rain we got up here in NY last week. 3 days of no work because of rain. As for the problem on the Apache sprayer door, Ive had problems with the squeeze handles in the past where the linkages start to wear out and get play, eventually you get enough play in them that you can squeeze the handle all the way (it only has like 1/4 inch of travel) but the pushrod (or whatever they are using to connect the handle to the latch) doesnt move far enough to flip the latch before you run out of travel.
Evapotranspiration is slowed with high humidity. Just glancing at a random wunderground PWS station in Shelby I can see May had an avg of ~40% humidity and June is running ~50%. So you're getting help there by higher humidity slowing plant transpiration rate. Cloudy days and lower temps also help slow transpiration.
that unstick was BRUTAL! love it as always.
The power of the BigBud's are just crazy! Keep it up!
Super cool clouds for the intro!! Just awesome. Hopefully we will see the new Big Bud soon, that would be awesome.😊
Welkers, you have the best opening scenes of your videos. Totally awesome
That was a full pull in high idle. 😂
You know what the saying is Nick. You never have a problem unless your doing something! You all sure do plenty so if you think about it your average mishap rate is really low. Thanks for sharing the adventure!
Colby’s motto is see the rabbit be the rabbit. 😂😂😂
Instead of beating with a sledge use one of those GIANT crescent wretches you have to bend it no broke welds that way
great video god bless welkers
Coby knows to keep the rabbit scanning peepers tuned up!
Wow ! Tomorrow is Father's Day and my father was born in 1912 in a farmhouse in Saskatchewan. Your farm videos remind me of so much nostalgia. You did not intend it of course, but I sure appreciate your videos. Thank you. That Big Bud poured on the power and it made the John Deer loader come out like it was nothing. . . . no kidding. By the way, nice fix on that sprayer. Take care and enjoy Father's Day with your families.
It just one of those things it happens. Only if you can see what the ground is like before hand. Really enjoying your video's
I would say Big Bud has a little bit of power lol be safe and have a great day Sam

I'm sure you know this, and it might not have been viable, but the only way to stop a crack once it starts is to drill a circle at the end of the crack on both ends. Then you can weld it shut and the circle at the ends will stop the crack from spreading. This is how they fix cracks on airplanes.
Whoa, for a moment thought maybe Millennial Farmer loaned you Jim ! 😆

I have several of those same exact tow hooks and I got every one of them off of old D8 Caterpillar dozers that I've scrapped.

Was it just me or did I see a set of eyes reflecting back
Bob: Dad jokes is how eye roll.

Nick you are dang good with a camera and or a drone. Some amazing pictures
Great intro drone footage! ... another great video.
Great video Nick LegArms and Brad
That looks like the driver knew there were two or three Big Buds a phone call away.
We learned on the farm that drilling a hole at the end of a crack before welding helps stop the crack from ever spreading or re-occurring in the future. Might not be needed but it’s a normal practice on our equipment.
add a "steering stabilizer" (not a shock absorber) in parallel with the breakaway springs and that will slow the return and keep the hinges from absorbing so much shock and reduce breakage.
at 17:35 nothing pulls like Bud tractors very impressive oh ya with load on the back
