That way everyone would be able to see the truth in his words depending on their own degree of understanding. Jesus would not survive the middle east 2000 years ago, and certainly not today with that approach.

Older generations nowadays get offended when we say their god doesn't exist. The generation before them would get offended if they saw a toilet in a sitcom. The generation before them would get offended if they saw a black guy in a white part of town. The generation before them would get offended if they saw a woman voting.

Some university shut down a class because they were offended by Steve Martin's King Tut skit that the professor showed them. Lemme tell you how Islam works. I'm from this rural town in Sri Lanka. In the wake of this incident I happened to go to a nearby town and the Muslim were on a protest for this. There was this school mate of mine who is a muslim who is not versed in either English or French. I went up to him and asked what was going on. He was like " There has been a cartoon drawn in France that offends us." And I asked whether he has seen it, to which he said no. But he protested all day long 😂

It’s ones right to be as offensive as they wish when speaking. It’s also their right to accept backlash if they injudiciously choose to say things that will anger those around them. It’s the same reason I don’t think symbols like upside down crosses, Nazi swastica, or faux Confederate battle flags need be banned. Personally I want those probable bigots to be easily identified.

It is their intellectually dishonest propaganda. They can justify and prove anything with the internally illogical system of irrational beliefs. I am from India. I am Hindu. I am currently doing my masters' degree in science. In my college, there is a student who did his bachelor's degree in college, where 90% of the students are Muslims. When he was talking with another student (who is from the same city where the college is) on this matter. I jumped into conversation and he told me, "I am with them and I know what they think. And I have worshipped Gods and Goddesses in front of them." He told me about another incident when two students doing masters in mathematics were caught in sleeper cell scandal. They were preparing for a terrorist attack. Around the end of 2019, some four people (who got the order from someone above them) gathered those people who didn't have rational thinking and were indoctrinated, for protest against NRC. They got the approval for it. In the protest, they chanted religious slogans and anti-national slogans. Those four people got away with it. But the remaining got brutal beatings from the police. I am not against Islam. Even I know some Muslims who are very good and are different from these assholes. There are many people in my country who make fun of our religion and Gods and Goddesses. But I will tell you most of the people in my religion are religious and tolerant. We don't chop someone head because of this thing. You may put out some examples to contradict this. But these incidents are very very rare.

I went to Islamic classes in the US as a child and my Egyptian teacher used to make fun of Jewish worship because of how they nod their head. Both seem equally silly if you ask and was obnoxious given that the the US has the highest number of Jews outside of Israel because of how much discrimination they faced in other countries throughout history. I think the Muslim guy's videos illustrate a world wide problem in societies. The problem is indoctrinating children into religions before they've reached the age of critical thinking. Once that's done, they are no longer able to use critical and logical thinking skills without very strong de-programming which most will never receive and won't even allow themselves to receive. Children have to be taught logic, reasoning, and critical thinking skills at a very young age so that they are innoculated from growing up to think as that guy. The 2nd problem is that of course, many parents do NOT want this, since then as the children would mature, they would begin to see the rampant fallacies in what the parents are trying to indoctrinate them into. It would be nearly impossible now to show that guy how nutty his thinking is, he would just become more angry and want to lash out violently.

The thing is, Christianity allows it and Judaism as well. These three religions are all cut from the same cloth. I've seen a Jewish rabbi married to an 13 year old girl. Thought experiment at 2.30: I literally witnessed as much, working as a groomer at PetSmart. A customer we in the grooming department all knew because she was a vociferous astrologer, (most of us got a kick out of her) was getting her dog's claws clipped by a coworker, Rachel, a born again Christian who NEVER proseletyzed (indeed, she rarely spoke). So the client is going on and on about astrology while Rachel, in her usual silence, was just doing her job on the doggy pedicure. Finally the lady asked Rachel her sunsign and Rachel couldn't have been more polite when she quietly replied;, "I'm Christian, I don't believe in astrology." The client went into immediate meltdown ( à la Karen before that was a named phenomenon). She literally left our department & screamed her offense all throughout the store. She bitched to the manager and wanted Rachel fired. After she left I went to Jeff, the manager, to tell him of Rachel's politeness and innocence. Jeff said the customer trashed her own creditably with her insane storewide rantings & Rachel's employment was not in danger.

I never was Muslim and I am horrified by Islam that it occupies so much Space in the West. Feeling pretty bad. I won’t become Muslim I rather die in fighting Islam. So how do you maintain happiness in these Dark Times? Ps: I thank you personally for leaving Islam. Thank You.

Right. The *only* test of whether or not someone values freedom of speech is if they would allow the most offensive speech (b/c, and i like your cookie recipe example, inoffensive speech doesn't *need* protection). Anyone who says "I'm all for free speech, but not for (nazis/racism/x-phobia/whatever)" doesn't really believe in free speech. And unfortunately that kind of unprincipled sentiment is way too widespread on the left these days. I'm an unabashed leftist myself, and to me an essential part of leftism has always been free-speech-absolutism. I'm sick of sometimes having to take the side of neo-nazis when the issue of speech comes up.

When we see people or groups coming to the aid of neo-nazis, racists, or whatever under the pretense of protecting their right to free speech it is often to protect them from social consequences not legal action. The way these stories are presented by the media is usually very hyperbolic and the distinction between legal action against the speech (which is what freedom of speech protects us from) and social consequence is muddyed. Just as it is the right of one to offend it is the right of, say, potential customers of the business that employs the offender to be offended and demand his resignation. Or if a public official or an elected office does the offending it is also the rights of the constituents to be offended and take any actions legally at their disposal to have that official removed.

@@omolisa3783 Yes, I'm also of the opinion that calumny can potentially ruin someone's clean criminal record and, therefore, life. Yelling "fire" isn't exercising your freedom of speech, because yelling "fire" doesn't put forward an idea/opinion. Neither do death threats.

@@omolisa3783 Too loud speech (like blasting the call to prayer at dawn so loud it can be heard for miles) is controlled by disturbing the peace laws. No worries about the content, but the method of delivery disturbs a neighborhood where people sleep. Spreading lies is controlled by slander and libel laws. The victim can sue you, proving both falsehood and damages in civil court and collect. Screaming fire is controlled by reckless endangerment laws. Publishing stupid or offensive content is controlled by market forces. The problem with "hate" speech and banning publications, no matter how nefarious, is that it is entirely subjective. The Islamic groups want any criticism whatsoever of Islam (not a person nor a legal entity like a corporation, but an ideology) or its founder/prophet, banned internationally as "hate" speech. They've been working that little nugget in the UN Human Rights Commission for 20 years, and in the similar EU body, and national governments, including the US Congress. The transgender activists want failure (not willful refusal, mere failure) to use their preferred pronoun to be legally declared hate speech. So using it becomes compelled speech - what you are required by law to say, and therefore think. A step even further on the road to totalitarianism that can then be applied to any aspect of language. If outlawing obnoxious, damaging material didn't infringe upon free speech, pornography would have been made illegal a hundred years ago. Because who gets to evaluate the book and decide it is bad to the point of banning? You? Me? No decent person would buy the manual teaching kids to kill, nor allow it in our schools or libraries. Many booksellers would refuse to stock it. Most people with IQs above 90 think the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a sloppy dopey propaganda piece by Russians that's been totally discredited and proven to be written by them, is complete trash. But in Egypt and Syria it is a best seller. Banning (or burning) books doesn't work. The Arabic version of Mein Kampf is also very popular in those countries. I think the test is whether it is specific harm to a specific person, as in slander and libel, or endangerment of specific people, as in the crowded theatre. Everything else is permitted. It may be completely false, absurdly foolish, offensive to every civilized person on the planet, or, yes, rabidly hateful. That reflects on the speaker. And society can condemn that person back - that is its free speech. That balances it. Ms. X stood in the town square and called everyone in town cannibals. The townspeople each said when they saw her later, "I am not a cannibal, you are an idiot. You ought to shut up." That's pressure of social norms of behavior and manners and ethics. There are consequences for stupidly or rashly exercising your right of free speech. But for society to attempt to sit as judge and jury over whether someone "went too far" is the beginning of authoritarianism and rule of the mob. Because one person's "too far" is someone else's "not far enough". That's where we come up with what is "socially acceptable behavior in polite society." Kids used to learn those boundaries and behaviors at home from their parents, and in church. Kids in the Islamic world do (home and mosque that is). Kids in America and the EU, I'm not so sure with 70% being raised in single-parent families and not identifying with any religion. That's a big job for just one parent all alone. Schools have stepped in, and they, of course, are on the "hate speech" and "victim" bandwagon 100%.

Well, from a Judeo-Christian perspective at least, he did talk directly to the people at one point (Exodus 20). But for some reason, the people were afraid that they would all die so had Moses be their intercessor. Either that or he is just lazy or doesn't exist.

I live in a country where the majority of the population is muslim, they'll scream for tolerance when they need it but then shit on every other religion and believes when it doesnt concern them, once someone in my city asked them to lower the voice of their speaker that's used to blast off their prayers(most are used to the noise but apparently this 1 in particular are extremely loud and used multiple amount of speaker) guess what they do after hearing that? they *burned* a Buddhist temple near the place, just because someone is asking them to lower their speaker noise, and apprently the person who asked for the noise to be lowered is also put in jail because she's _disrespecting_ Islam.

@@binal-flecki2387 I would like to argue against what you say for I am always for peaceful solutions when those are possible. But I doubt nowadays. These extremist powers most be broken (Saoudi Arabia, Qatar, all Muslim Brothers controlled countries). But how to do it ? War seems to breed more extremists than before (look at all aeras with western intervention) but no actions does not seem to better the situation either. I'm honestly at a loss on what should be done.

I had an emotionally abusive family friend who my family recently cut off. However, she did have a few good morals and insights, one of the most valuable in this time being that nobody can make you feel any emotion, that it's up to you to take an insult or a compliment however you want.

As an ex-Muslim these kinds of people just sicken me and make me want to distance myself from the religion even more than I already do. I am glad that my family takes the religion more lightly so I could just argue with them my point without fearing getting abandoned by them. I lost all faith in this religion, not on the basis of these kinds of people (because we've never seen them as actual Muslims in the first place) but rather because I saw no logic or reason in it. I might be an atheist, but I stand by the idea that if I am wrong, and IF god or something like it actually exists, then they wouldn't support of this kind of behaviour, and if there is a heaven, being a decent human being is the ticket in, not insane devotion that's pretty much just cult behaviour.

Hey Genetically Modified Human Thank you for this video I am a recent ex Muslim Watching this video, when this Muslim dude was giving out his argument, my brain, found no fallacies whatsover in what he would say, except that i would think that death was too much. But your counterargument, which are basic logic, literally blew me away. For example, i totally agreed with him that Muhammad shouldnt have comics made out of him out of respect for the religion. But that's absolutely false. No human is so perfect, all have flaws and pointing them out is totally okay. I shouldn't have this kind of reaction. Born Muslims are taught to believe in bullshit arguments and agree with them. That's not an argument. In every Abrahamic religion God is not supposed to interfere with human affairs (apple, snake, chased of Eden, this kind of things) except through prophets. And for those believing in those religions there have been Godly messages ! (Eli, Jesus, Muhammad for instance). God does not have to answer to petty humans. No the real argument against this kind of violence is simple : if God is allmighty and benevolent AND all-knowing, why then should humans enact violence in His name ? Divine justice should be self-suffisant in a coherent web of thought.

The problem is when the fighting isn't about "politics" or "justice" and is based purely on bias against those of different belief and takes on blanket generalities. Islam is only really postured against Judaism now, in my opinion, because of Israel. Israel only exists because the Islamic empire, the Ottoman Empire, lost WW1 by siding with the German Empire and they did not survive past the war. They would have fought with the Nazis had they been in any state to do so. Name one Jewish-led military offensive since the original days of Israel. Unless you believe the Central Powers actually won WW1, or that WW1 and WW2 were the same conflict, only with an interim, you really can't. Perhaps the Christians went a little far with the crusades, but it was defensive in the same fashion that the retaliation of America after 9/11 was defensive. Islam on the other hand began as a nomadic theocratic war party and have largely operated under this premise for the entire 1300 years of its existence, although they have been consolidating power fairly well in the past few hundred years.
