This was so lovely to watch, she was wonderful part of a generation the likes of which we will never see again. 😢
I wish TV was like this again.

At a time when almost anyone is called a National Treasure, Dame Thora was the genuine article. A lovely lady and brilliant actress.
One in a million. A gentle lady, a superb actor and a huge heart. Reunited with her beloved Scotty now, but deeply, deeply missed.
Dame Thora Hird always reminded Me of My Grandmother, She was a lovely down to earth lady too. We lost a national treasure when Thora passed away.
She was just amazing. A real national treasure, greatly missed,
I never saw her be bad in anything and she had such a distinctive voice that just made you feel like you were at home with a friend when she spoke, such a wonderful actress. I also loved Christopher Beeny and it was wonderful to see him here again . R.I.P two wonderful acting legends.
Aw Thora lovely funny lady and just a great actress sadly missed.

Such a brilliant actress Dame Thora Hird was grew up watching her on television over the years, God bless you Dame Thora Hird.
Sensational - that's a good way to describe Thora Hird. ❤
The late, great Dame Thora Hird remained a down to earth Northen lass. Beloved by all. RIP.
She was a very special lady. I loved her particularly in Without Words.
Her alan Bennett monologue was a class act 🎉
I remember watching Thora with Freddie Frinton in Meet The Wife in 1963, as I couldn’t get over her strong accent, she had stuck in my mind ever since, sadly both Freddie and Thora were no longer with us.
I loved waching this great English actress
I love this show. Last of the Summer Wine lasted so many years and each show made me laugh.😊
There's few great actors that everyday people, like myself can identify with. Thora was exceptionally talented and kept her feet firmly on the ground. XXX
That was wonderful, I have loved her in so many television shows which we get over here in Canada!
Unprecedented. Unique. Unequalled. RIP Dame Thora Hird.
What a wonderful lady ❤
Another brilliant TV play was 'Lost for Words' (1999) with Peter Postlethwaite about a lady who suffers a stroke and needs dedicated care in a nursing home. Beautifully and sympathetically played by both
I met and served Dame Thora hird and her husband in 1990 when i worked at the Strand Palace Hotel London ,she was a lovely polite lady and had a lasagne as i remember she signed a serviette for me too...what a star..

Who is she?
Obviously a great actress. (See the comments below mine.) The only question, I would have loved to see/hear an answer to, is: Was she actually such a bad driver as she portrayed to be in Last of the Summer Wine. I'd think that bit of acting would be extremely difficult, but a lot of fun. (Remember the episode of her Driving Lesson. Gordon Wharmby and Mike Grady did a nice job there. As did Peter Sallis. "I'll walk home" :D) She still brings many smiles, to those who keep watching repeats of any of the many shows/films she acted in.
❤❤❤❤❤
Dame Thora Hird OBE (as far as I am concerned) was hilarious and excellent entertainment. For me, mostly just with her facial expressions in Last of the Summer Wine. Response to video only.
Drink yer coffee
