Despite the host, I am so moved to see these wonderful men and their wives. Such gentle legends. Their memory will never die and future generations will always love and revere them.
Stan Laurels message to the congregation at his funeral - "If you cry at my funeral,I will never speak to you again!" - a true English gentleman..............there will never be a duo like this again. No words can describe their brilliance
I am only 35, and I like rock music, and I even saw some war I should not have seen, so I have a callous heart, but Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy are classic. It's fun to see them the way they really were. They still make me smile. Thank you for this movie. Indeed, too bad someone had to talk too much in it, but it's valuable. And to think Stan never wanted to perform without Oliver again. Because without his buddy, it would never feel right. Amazing.
Laurel and Hardy were one of if not the best comedy duos in history , the fact that they are so geniune and gracious , and were loved the whole world over , is a credit to themselves . I have loved these 2 all my life , and i never get tired of watching them . They were born to soon , as they would have been multi millionaires today , in fact , Mr Laurel died penniless and i do believe that he had a paupers burial , which saddens me , as some of todays comedians are awful , but get paid millions

Scott Wall Super wrong dude. Stan Laurel did not die penniless at all and was not buried in a paupers grave
my 10 year old son has been watching laurel and hardy since he was 6, he howls with laughter and we are watching them as i type, i bought him the boxset for xmas this year. they are fantastic!
I am italian and i have 50 years old. I remember stan and oliver when i was i child, every saturday at 1 o'clock p.m. in television. For me are the best !
That was in 1954 and 56 years later and they still entertaining people such as myself. Comedy legends and their comedy will live forever...
thats a legacy most of us can only dream about.
May they both rest in peace. I thank them for thier gift of laughter to the world.
a gem of a video, brought tears to my eyes, this is what true comedy is all about, true legends who will live on forever.
makes me cry...!!!!!!!!!!!I love you so much..both of you...!!
When these two great comedians toured England in the late 1940s they both couldn,t understand the public frenzy that greeted them both, they just looked at each other and cried,That chokes me up.
Goodness. It was like time travel. Such humble people Stan and Oliver were, so unlike the actors of today who are blinded by their ego. Brought tears of joy watching these tow off the set, in their early 60s, and still jolly and cheerful as ever. Evergreen duo, evergreen.
L&H=Legends, genius the greatest the world will never see again someone like them. r.i.p Stan and olli thank you for making us laugh we love you.
i really just want to tell them that m their biggest.... i watch their clips again and again... i wish they were still alive 😔
the host loves himself far more than anyone else could love him
It is my understanding that Stan in the last yrs. of his life lived in an apartment in Santa Monica. Both he and Oliver shared their own brand of humor beautifully with the rest of the World. They will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone forever.
Stan Laurel had his name in the phone book until the day he died. He was so humble he thought if people wanted to call him, they should be able to. both of them were class acts all the way.
Don't you just love KZread? This footage is gold..thanks for upload!
Mr. Laurel and Mr. Hardy, you are still two of the best of the wourld ... i have to say sooo thank you for so much funnys.
They were the BEST!
2 comedy gifts of gold from heaven - Laurel & Hardy. There never has been or never will be their likes again. Both fitted together absolutely perfectly like a key for a lock. God bless, rest in peace forever.
Simply the best duo ever.......EVER
THE TWO GREATEST COMEDIANS THAT EVER LIVED!!!! I HONOR THE MEMORIES OF SUCH WONDERFUL COMEDIANS AND PEOPLE! THERE WILL NEVER BE ANYONE THAT CAN MATCH THEIR TALENTS!
Oliver Hardy's face it's like this really happening... God I've laughed so much at these two, just love them...thank you so much for putting this up...Stan laurel is quite shy.... beautiful...

He's also visibly moved -- on the edge of tears -- at a few points during the show.
The greatest Double act ever. If they had know that they would still be popular today, more so than when they were alive. What an achievement.
There comedy was pure and precious not to be done again.
Amazing 😁
When Stan Laurel was on his death bed he told his nurse that he wished that he was skiing, she said" i didnt know you skied",he said" i dont but id rather be doing that"

Every Christmas I watch march of the wooden soldiers.
I was raised watching these two through my childhood and it was my life dream to meet both of them until I found out that both passed away well before my time. I cried for a while and still upsets me looking back into it. But looking at the past of how these men brought happiness into my life when I was in the darkest of times, they kept me happy, still brings a manly tear to my eye. God bless these two, RIP. I'l meet you one day
Can you feel the burning resentment from them both? Stan Laurel said "I was damned if I was going to put on a free show for them!" xD

*Typical treatment of entertainers by the exploitive power brokers. I'm a musician and have been treated worse. These two fine gentlemen are my heroes for making me laugh in hard times.*

Giants of comedy, never tire of watching them God bless them both.
Nice to see this old clip, they brought laughter to the world.
Their BRAND of COMEDY NEVER GROWS OLD!!!!! :-)
A tonic for a troubled world, a portal to flee harshest truth. God sends angels in many forms...Laurel and Hardy but two.
Such grace,humility and class..
Genius, these two men.
I never get tired of watching these two GREAT comedians in action, and they were so hard working and genuine. Even though I know what's coming next in their short picture shows, they still make me howl now aged 50 just as much as they did when I was 5. I wish the whole world could be like Laurel and Hardy. God bless 'em.
Wow, great to see two of the greatest comedy legends of all time! What a shame this show didn't have a decent host.
i grew up watching laurel and hardy videos in the early 70s and to this day they are for me the greatest double act EVER!
A cheesy TV host meets two living legends. Edwards was probably nervous. It's still great to see Stan and Ollie working their magic!
What a gem of a clip! These two King's of comedy. These two who still make us laugh and cry. These two who are still loved. RIP Boys.
I wish they spoe more than Ralph Edwards. But thanks to him we can see them 2gether.
I remember when Laurel and Hardy performed a live show in Dublin. I was still at school. My parents took my brother and sister and myself to see them. There was photographs in a glass case outside the theatre. A great comedy duo, as funny on the stage as in film. Some years back I visited a museum in Kendal, the Lake District in England, and they are sitting in that magic car just inside the door. So lifelike, for a moment I was waiting for something to happen

R.I.P. Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, And of course: Ralph Edwards.
I so wish i could've met them. What a wonderful tandem of human beings. God bless their souls.
Keywords: " ...good, clean comedy". Those days are gone.
I saw this program when it was 1st aired so many yrs ago - These 2 wonderful men were unbeliiveabley famous. Till this day I love these exceptional stars. I wish all of their films could be brought back for all to enjoy as much as I have over the years. They were friends to the very end of there lives - I would encourage everyone to see the clips that are posted here. God bless them.
Hardly a word from the two legends here just that dude yabbering all through it.
Ralph Edwards and 'this is your life' show was just like that. Everyone was treated the same, some were embarrassed more then others, most enjoyed the publicity. It was, at thew time, the best way to meet and get to know the great names of stage and screen. The predicessor to The Actor's Studio on Bravo.
always making a stop on some Laurel & Hardy videos from their collection now and then.. another one of my favorites
Laurel and Hardy can cheer me anytime two of the funniest ever RIP X
Thanks so much for posting this. What a tragedy that the lives of 2 of the original geniuses of movie comedy had to be showcased by this truly disrespectful and phony blathering host! Stan and Ollie were too classy to give him the "stink eye". Rest well, good gents. You live-on forever in our smiles.
Hey guys thank you so much for sharing facts about my favourite Laurel and Hardy. May God bless them, and You too for sharing with us their family and lives....
two absolute legends of comedy. they will be still remembered in 100 years time.
The absolute bench Mark for all visual comedy . Much loved and respected here in the UK .
Thanks for sharing with me. Stan Laurel also welcomed visiting fans at his modest Santa Monica apt. Earlier, he had a house in Beverly Hills(I saw it), but apparently decided to downsize as many elderly do - and didn't feel the need to show off his house. He said the Santa Monica setting reminded him of England(with all those Canary Island date palms I don't know how!). I wished I had been old enough to have visited him at his final residence.
Wonderful entertainers, and clearly a pair of proper gentlemen. Legends.
They were the best!
I remember a lot of their movies, I got a chance to watch some of their silant movie reruns when I was a young boy during the 1930s. They were great. I never got to see this show until 1955 when TV came to my area. Enjoyed the memories :-)
Miss this series! It was brilliant in allowing the audience to get to know celebrities (sp?) and really get to appreciate them. Wish this show was still aired.
hiyadroogs'comment is a very fine one and I absolutely agree. The boys are and will be in my heart for all time and I very often watch their films, prefering the original sound. To me it is very satisfying to see these historic recordings. Thank you - condensedclassics - very very much!
I miss them. Real comedy legends.
They brought so many laughs and so much joy to so many for so long. Thanks, boys.
They used to make my dad laugh, his life brighter. Thank you guys for entertaining the world for so long. I bet you are having a ball upstairs 😊
my dads heros my heros my sons heros at 14 years old that tells you something about these guys . my dad n grandad met them on peterboro rail station . shame about the interveiwer fellow bit of a git to ollie . i still cry at times watching them as dad always did happy tears
What a humbleness ! That' s why they are so great. So popular (still are) in Turkey. That they may lie, surrounded by heavenly light, within their graves!
This is amazing! Thank you so much for posting this.
Thank you boys for learning me the meaning of a great laugh. Thanks for so many fantastick films. Thanks for beeing such a wonderfull couple. God speed and god bless you both.
The greatest comedy duo ever walked the face of the earth
There show is timeless I imagine when I'm old I'll still be watching them
I got to see Ralph Edwards ..when one of our school principals was retiring after so many years.this was something
what an era 1954 these men were cast aside forgotten
I don't remember much of my childhood in the sixties but if I remember anything, it's these two guys. They were hilarious. Lovely blokes as well, by all accounts.
Interviewer: talking a lot without speaking anything! Laurel&Hardy: saying a lot more just by using laughter
The best pair ever on this earth cried laughing when I was a child still pisses myself watching these at 50 years old
Grew up watching them.Good clean fun. They're still the best, to this day.
Truly a class act and great friends. After Hardy died, Stan completely quit performing

He was too broken up to even attend Ollie's funeral, as I understand it.
When the host thinks he can compete with his guests and forget that in front of him are standing two of the greatest comedians ever! I wish, someone of the audience could slap him!
This actually makes me sad. God how I wish I was born when they were around.
10/8/2019. My father and I loved their movies.I would laugh so hard I would start coughing.I have all of their movies. ❤❤
Hard to believe that 3 short years later. Oliver hardy passed away. R.I.P.
Glad that was the condensed version
Oliver Hardy's family moved from Harlem,Ga to Madison, Ga., where I live. His dad ran a hotel here until he died from a heart attack. After his passing Oliver's mom ran a boarding house here for a while then moved to Milledgeville, Ga to run a hotel. The hotel here in Madison burned down in 1930.
I love this video . Thanks! I loved and again these two gyes. They was too funny. RIP STAN AND OLLIE
These 2 deserve way more from us all of us they gave more loughs than anyone else including Charlie Chaplin!!!
what a modest & humble pair of gentlemen. the presenter obviously oblivious to the greatest day of his career! kind of only makes 'the boys' seem even greater, don't it...
I love Laurel and Hardy . Thank u very much for this video.
Unbelievable loosing these two geniuses.
Due splendide persone che hanno fatto e continuano a fare ridere senza nessuna volgarità. For ever
Loved them so much my fave comedy duo of all time. Only thing i didn't like was that host mocking Ollie's weight poor looked not well at all here and he didn't need to hear that. Stan and Ollie were legends still watch them today they were simply the best.
@retroguy9494

Yes and what made it MORE disgusting was that Hardy WANTED to lose weight but the studio forbade it even threatening to drop his contract if he got thinner. Thank goodness finally once they were pretty much out of work, he lost a TON of weight.
@paulmcnamara9272

@@retroguy9494 Yes and when he lost the weight he ended up having a stroke, he was so thin before he died. People were so cruel he was one of most beloved comedy actors ever, and deserved to be treated with respect not mocked.
@retroguy9494

@@paulmcnamara9272 Yes. He dropped the weight much too fast. That's not good for your system and most likely contributed to his stroke. Slow weight loss is best. And you're right. Compared to today's comedian's I'd rather watch people like Hardy any day! And people WERE cruel to him about the weight. I guess they didn't have the common sense to know he kept it on because it was part of the act. Such a shame that as soon as he got healthy, he got sick and died.
The host seems ill informed & ill at ease. Laurel & Hardy deserve nothing less than the total respect. They sure have my respect & thanks for the many hours of great pleasure in the entertainment they gave to me. How about you?
AWWWH!! LOVELY SURPRISE INDEED!! THEY DON'T COME LIKE THEM AGAIN GOD BLESS THESE TWO CHAP'S WHO MADE THE WORLD LAUGH!! AND ME WELL, JUST SEEING THEM TOGETHER!! I JUST ROLLED UP!!
I used to see this show when I was a kid, it was always extremely sappy.
All Time Legends 😁 🙏 💕
You two will always be my favorites! I loved watching your shorts sunday morning 10:00 am. Ma never did figure out why I was always trying to talk her into SAT. evening mass. This was the 70's. I knew for sure that middle age arrived when I asked a kid at a BEST BUY store about L&H movies. He said, who?
good to see them together
