I remember playing raging blast 2 with my friend and we were in the middle of a beam struggle and the skin of my palm tore off from the xbox analog... and I still lost the beam struggle 😂😂😂

U can pick classic controls to get the OG version of struggles

My hands are rough because of dragon ball. The beam clashes are coming back woohoo.

A friend had worn his sticks down to the point that only the bare plastic was left. Then that broke further, and the stick had 4 jagged points just waiting for you to try out.

I never used my palm during the beam clashes, I always just used my thumb to spin the analog stick, growing up I never even thought about using my palm to win beam clashes, I didn't even know thats what everyone else did until the trailer for Bt4 came out

This hits different after seeing the gameplay trailer

We know now from the gameplay showcase that beam clashes are based on timing your taps rather than mashing them, a welcome change

Us Wii players got it easy, you only have to shake the controller 😂

Ahh I remember I once destroyed my hand and controller, the days

Fun thing is that some game copyrighted minigames during loading and loading screens dont take that long anymore

The ps2 realizes it is not spinning the stick, just pressing buttons

@@carlsonnchinda8514 there's a chance, but Tenkaichi 2 is the game that introduced me to Dragon Ball, and I'm mostly a Nintendo gamer, so I'm getting a PS5 for the game, cause there's NO way I'm waiting for a Switch port.

I actually loved this Feature they even had this Feature in the Raging blast Series

They just confirmed no more rotations!! Beam clashes are done though mashing triangle now

maybe it's because I switched to xbox at some point, but I found that using both my thumbs are infinitely easier than wrecking my palm & sticks, I mainly noticed it in the Budokai games when you had to spin to charge ultimates

I know this was a year ago, but I’m thanking King Yemma for having Bandai fix that problem with the struggles.

I REMEMBER picking up my reserved copy of Budokai 3 for ps2 and playing all night about 18 years ago when I was 12 on a school night. I was fighting broly and chewing on a rubber band. The fight got so intense I missed the rubber band and chomped down on my tongue. Blood squirted all over my white school uniform . I was squirming around like a fish outta water 😂.

Oh Ye of little faith. It's already been confirmed that this game will have the largest roster. And as for the other commenter who said characters past Goku Black arc will be locked behind DLC... The trailer literally has Bergamo and Jiren in it. So safe to say that will not be the case. If we do get any DLC, I'd like to think it will be manga characters like Moro and Granola.

Well with the gameplay reveal, beam clashes won't require you to spin the joysticks anymore and it'll be similar to budokai 3 when you do your ultimate and need to time pressing the button with the bar. Which I'm glad they did that tbh

they might do what they did with kakarot where beam struggles are done with button mashing or have an option to switch between the two that would be cool

I just used my thumbs 🤷‍♂️, still managed to win beam struggles against my friends who went all out using their palms. One trick was to do both sticks, you get double the input.

Here after it was revealed to have Budokai 3 clash mechanics

Those beam struggle were a trip now that i think about it. I remember telling myself a few times that if i have to destroy my controller for the win, so be it.....and then they cheated like a muthaf*ck. Knowing full well how wild i was going with those analogs and still lost. 😒

Thank god there actually won't be beam struggles in BT4 (they removed it)

Sounds pretty brutal if you ask me. That's probably why I wasn't able to get the PS2 version. The wii version is good too anyway. You don't have to worry about tearing your skin off in a beam struggle.

They better add split screen VS mode like DBZ T3 😂
