This is why you MUST use the glasses.... I thought you were going to explain why we do need use glasses, in order to avoid eye injuries...

How did she decide when to hit it against the back glass vs just hitting it forward?

If the ball is going to die on her right. Because normally you hit in front of you, but if it dies on your right you are going to have the shoulders directed towards the fence and that’s where the ball gonna go. So instead of trying to play it in the court, use the glass. If the ball is powerful enough to rebound in front of you, you play it normal.
