Best midfielder of all time for me honestly !!! Magical and underrated for the quality he has !!!
In 2012 he was voted the worst La Liga signing. As a Real Madrid fan I knew he had potential but I didn't think he would become one of the greatest ever. It was a joy to watch him evolve into the world class player he is now. Like fine wine.

The reason why you should never look at just at statistics and numbers is all of those guys who missed those perfect passes that Modric served them on a silver plate. By all accounts, those should have been considered assists, but since the other players missed, they don't count - thus bringing down Modric's stats. So, when people mention how some other midfielder's have better stats... well... it's not all about the stats.

People don't get that there's a different type of midfielders & Modrić being the best doesn't mean others are bad... You can still have your favourite mid being someone else, but recognise the value of Luka, and vice versa.
