I hit divine ruler really quick with him but dont like playing him much to hard to use online with input lag be dropping back 2's all the time and max comboes from lag you literally have to have a dumb online play style with him to be effective but since I have fundamentals I have no idea how the lee's even play like that cause none of the stuff they do works offline so I don't by default think ok i can do this because its online just saying

That's part of the beauty of modern tekken games. A character can be low tier but still enjoyable and lovable by their fans. It might take a bit more effort to make things work but for those willing to put in the effort you can still go far with them.

He will always be EXCERRENT 👍🏻.... and elegant.

Ption redem regular show is .... is dead

The Screw system is what really hurt Lee the most. The bound mechanic benefited him a lot since most of his moves were very well designed for the the bound mechanic to work.

For me, playing Lee is just fun. Don’t really care about winning with Lee as long as I get to pull off combos online haha

I love lee so much he is my main in start of T5 and his combos there was very good and so much easy. Now lee is the one of the hardest characters. Also I can't use anymore 1+2 and mistep beacuse it's taking VERY low damage. R.I.P. Classic combos of lee

It's a shame that there has been a few sacrificial lambs, as I believe tailspin is the best combo mechanic Tekken has ever had. I hope that Nina, Lars and Lee will be revised in Tekken 8 (or maybe Season 3) to make them more viable and accessible for "normal" players.

I don't agree with that at all. Wall combos suffer alot for too many characters cause of bound being removed. Bound being removed got rid of so many great set ups smh

Yes, but that is a general nerf to just about all characters that toned down the, in my opinion absolutely ridiculous, wall damage that the entire cast had access to. Tekken 6 and Tag Tournament 2 have been widely criticized for allowing players to execute combos that border on finishing off the opponent in one go and I toning down wall damage did its fair share to fix that problem.

@@CErra310 no it didn't lol you have more death combos in t7 than you do in tag 2 cause of ex moves, rages drives, rage arts and over all higher standing damage. Solo wall damage was good not great but TAG that's where the magic happened

@@jacobcraz8487 dont kid yourself, no you dont. Only characters who are death comboing regularly is the ex characters. Everyone else the stars have to align, you have to be a libra on may 18th 2018, you have to have a 45 degree angle to the left of your opponent, you cant miss a re-splat, you have to pray for better reaction execution than you have, hope it's better than 3 bar and you better not die before you can use your rage.

@@vegetoavery it's not hard to survive with rage the fuck are you talking about? You get rage at half health if you aren't death comboed. Kazuya, Jin, heihachi, devil Jin, Katarina, Miguel, kazumi, law, hwaorang all have near death combos. If you take more than 2 jabs or special low then it is over on the next launcher so don't try that dumb shit. In tag 2 taking 100 damage would put you at around half health. That shit would nearly kill you in t7.

Dragunov can do something similar. After the bound just do df3 then follow up with 3,1 and that will refloat the opponent

love the passion you show in this series.

Lee still can pickup mid combo with b3,3. Only option against it is to techroll, so you can mix them up.

The Tekken 7 system hurt Lars as well Lars was almost a god in tag two but he sucks in tekken 7

Lars was good he wasn't god like lol uf4 could be jabbed and arc blast could be back stepped. Df2 was his best move but you could be so creative in tag 2 with all characters so the tier list there was kinda wack

Running 3,4 is plus 3 in season 2 if you transition to hitman it's plus 6... Season 1 it was plus 1

They made paul b12 into a screw move, they could do the same thing with lee f4,3. They could also make the first move homing, no joke

Lee isnt bad nor is he top tier. Lee's main issue is cause of the lag in tekken 7 its hard to go from monitor to monitor and hit all his jfs. I think hes good in long sets but in tournaments not so much

In fact f+4 3 in Tekken 7 have no purpose at all. You can get a launcher but only if you get a CH on the second hit which is quite unlikely to happens.

Maybe delaying second hit, but varies on your oponent playstyle. If he is too aggressive, f+4 3 delayed will work, but if he isnt, be prepared to do a lot of effort.

It's like Heihachi's f2,3 or Dragunov's f2,4: if you manage to condition the opponent, making him attack after the first hit, you get a launch

Hey TMM, is there any character you feel is the opposite to this? i.e., who in TTT2 was 'OK' but the T7 system changes really helped make them stronger. Perhaps they went from having bad comboing tools to some of the best, and for whom the Oki changes didn't affect too negatively. In my mind I'm thinking maybe Jin, (who had famously restrictive bound tools).

NixUniverse yea that would b cool to make the next tekken with no bound or screw. But I honestly think the next tekken will have screw and bound. This way characters with wall carry actually have a benefit from their wall carry. (By screw and bound I mean u could only use one in a combo.

wr+3,4 is +3 since season 2 and you need to do cc with lee to get his hopkick, unless it's buffered as a punishtool.

Even Hwoarang in TTT2 4,4 it’s a high Hit but it hits too low, in T7 no more you can do it.

Just wait till mainman gets beaten by a god prime lee. Then he'll make a vid why lee is strong in tk7 lol

@@Zlatko815 king has alot depending on situation df 43 works, f3, d 3+4 after ff1 ender just couple off my head and ak after shorter juggle use uf 3 then either 1+2 1 or df1 or d 3+4 2. Theres actually alot and alot of aplications just gotta find

I said the same thing YEARS ago about how tailspin system damage lee. Been my main for years but ended up just dropping him for law and shaheen.

Please do a video on law on tekken 7 and explain why he is top tier in your opinion.

Law is top tier because frame data wise he is ridiculously safe and barely punishable. His damage is outrageous and he has excellent high and mid pressure.

You don't need to crouch cancel to do his hopkick out of crouch in T7. Don't know if that was different in TTT2.

It works like doing a normal hopkick but more of doing uf4 when in ws. Simply put, works like Armor King's hopkick from crouch. Problem with Lee, he has somersault that's why it's "hard"

You can buffer it from blockstun and it will be a 15 frame punish, or you can go for the flips. You can not just hopkick from crouch in neutral, but you'd never do that anyway.

@@JanbayHatukay You can do it from neutral with a tiger knee motion. You slide from d/b to u/f. The key part I think is that you hit u before u/f. It can be useful if you do it quickly for punishing certain highs that you've ducked that have fast recovery like throws, EWGFs etc.

Mvgic Don exactly Lee’s problem he doesn’t have a solid game plan it’s awkward. His offense is weak for a poking character and has nothing scary. Below average block punishment (whiff is really good f3 and b1,1) and his move set just doesn’t mesh well

I still get blown up by his counter hit tools and with his amazing wall carry his damage and comeback potential is insane. Whether his 10f counter hit string, that magic 4, that overhead kick or that that high crush low kick... As well as the sneaky round kick-strings enders and his obnoxious tackle. I never have fun when I face a Lee player.

His comeback potential is weak af. I dont know what you do but all you gotta do when Lee is low on health is not duck lol. His lows are not really threatening. In general, you let Lee come to you, you never rush in cause his keep out is crazy good.

@@Senumunu High rank or not, in 3/4 bars, you're fucked and cannot react to the slide, even from far. You have to resort of predicting it.

I always said removing the back rolls in general made the wakeup game a lot more flat all around. There were lots of scenarios where I could punish people effectively for waking up carelessly and it improved my own wakeup cognizance considerably as well. Now people just slide to their feet without a moment of vulnerability.

I just want lee to have his DF3,2,3 to be a natural combo.

Lee is a very hard character to play against in T7, he is a lab character due to his many strings as well as many of his punishable attacks don't look punishable at all and if pushing buttons against him if you are not sure when it's your "turn" you can easily end up being launched for it. Also, his wall carry is insane and the wall dmg is good so yeah. Not easy to play against if not labbed excessively. He requires a lot of defensive skills and character knowledge to play against.

He's not, everyone had VERY strong gimmicks in this game. I use to think Jin was garbage now he's my main. Fwd 4 is the best move ever made XDDD it's a joke but man i love tag 2 for making all the characters feel complete. Something t6 and t7 suffer alot from. Tier list didn't mean shit in this game but it does in 7

Personally i think lee is still really good in t7. His whiff punishment is way better with f3333...4 being a launcher now. He has arguably the best i10f punishment in the game AND is much easier to use with b2 having a bigger hit box.

I miss TTT2 Lee soo much. :'( While I love his b+3,3 in T7, they didn't need to get rid of his b+3, at all. It would have been something that really helps him. The change to ws2,3 always triggered me. I'm like, why? Don't fix what wasn't broken. Lee's punishment wasn't amazing. So him having it, compensated it. Besides, he needs actual effort for his max damage. Unlike a certain somebody. *cough* noctis *cough* His wr3,4 is +3 in season 2, btw. But yeah, I would love his old one to come back. Was so much fun to whiff punish with it in in Tag 2 and TR. Especially TR, since the bound state in there gave you an actual full combo. Imagine that with the screw system... They really dropped the ball hard with Lee in this game.

They added a lot more to his kit than they took out, you're exaggerating.

Lee really suffered from fighting game culture. Every new fighting game nerfs someone or takes something away to simplify or ease things for new players instead of giving other characters a means to deal with those things.

I'm talking about games today that have a mechanic novice players don't feel like learning and then complain about it being broken when it's used against them and then it gets removed in the next patch or game.

He's hard because, he never had as many tools as most characters in the game. You will get better results, with about 1/3 of the cast over him. But will that stop me from playing him....nope.

S2 Lee is actually Top Tier if you can land his crazy execution 24-7... if you never drop Acid Rain, B2 combos, D3 counter to B3 pickups (and all other B3 pickups), Magic 4 B1 to B2 combos and so on and nail the Acid Trap all the time and so on, he is actually the best player in Tekken 7 .... BUT, its impossible to nail all the time without fault, i mean almost any attack he does is a launcher/combo with craziest wall carry and great consistent combo damage but all of it requires deadliest timing/practice and many of his shit is JUST FRAMES.... so its basically impossible to play him at his maximum potential... thats why he is so fun to play for me tho, its just satisfactory to win with him, also Lee has the coolest fighting style in the game.

Lee isnt lowtier in t7. If you practiced him and know his ins and outs, hes really good. He just takes more time to get into compared to the other characters

Lee is strong as fuck in T7. Imo he's top 10. Maybe you got shaky hands and drop combos, doesn't make him any weaker.
