This is exactly why I LOVE!! Subscription boxes. I always give the stuff I am not going to use as birthday & Christmas gifts. I am always the family favorite for gift giving because of this.

Love that!

I made so much money off of my fab fit fun boxes! I kept what I wanted and sold the rest in little bundles on Mercari! Made wayyy more back than what I spent on them. Also got that Kate Somerville facial scrub in a box, and I LOVE IT! Like $80 for a small one like that, I love the smell and how soft my face is after I use it in the shower. Excellent product.

Yeah.. selling things you get for free basically. You're so awesome. This is why the system is broken and things cost too much.

These boxes set the brain up for "beauty box addiction" because there is a dopamine rush over the excitement of what we might be getting! Then more and more is needed for the same rush. More boxes, more stuff. It is awesome that you have seen the waste and beaten the cycle!

I do absolutely love getting the subscription boxes, but I have to agree. There is a running joke in the house about how much makeup, skincare, tools, and beauty products I have. That’s along with me giving out a lot of it for gifts (Christmas, Birthdays, Mother’s Day, Just Because, etc.) Everyone is so happy to be able to try the new middle to high end products, which makes me happy to see them happy. But, it was getting to be a lot there for awhile. I had BirchBox ❤, All levels of Ipsy❤, and All levels of BoxyCharm❤, plus paying for my daughter’s subscription to Ipsy. She at least went with the small bags, since she uses all of my stuff along with me, we just have different skin tones. I seriously think I may have spoiled her with such name brand, but at least she knows how to get it one a budget, for when she is out on her own. 😅 It didn’t help that I shop the 21 Day sales at Ulta and Sephora. Lol. Anyways, needless to say I am at your point. Needing to get rid of a lot of it. I swear I have a lifetime’s worth of, “beauty products”, that should cover a whole squad of ladies. Lol. 😂😂😂😂 Love your videos! ❤

Ha I did the same this weekend! Went through our bathroom cabinets and reduced inventory. Felt so good to have everything neatly at in containers and to be able to actually see it all (instead of it being messy and stacked)

You can still use those types of products when the children are sleeping. If they are small, you need to take them outside and tire them fully and at 7pm or at latest 8pm they will be asleep.

You are right to do this. Now, if I could only follow in your footsteps too.

OMG, I am addicted to beauty boxes as well as all Advent calendars. I would love to be in the place you are now, unfortunately it's hard to fight this addiction. For this moment I try to buy less, maybe one day I'll quit it and buy only what I need for my skin :)

I have only one box from look fantastic and we share it mostly with my husband and mom. Nothing similar happens to what you described. Everything that I don’t like giving to others immediately

I separate all the stuff in categories: -day cream -night cream -treatment cream(acne,dark spots,etc...) -eyeshadows -lipsticks -foundation -powders -shampoo - conditioner - hair mask - face mask - eye patches - bronzers - highlighters - tools(make-up brushes,gua-sha,face roll,etc...) -and many more😂 I keep only what I'm going to use,the rest is given away as presents and if there's something left,I make treat boxes to be sold online. I make a profit. If I were an influencer and I would get PR boxes, I'll be earning even more and still be looking good and being the cool auntie,friend,work colleague.😂😂😂

@@susanwhite6761 if the products are unopened, many shelters and nonprofit organizations will accept them. If they have been opened (and used, even once), they should probably be thrown away due to bacteria.

Wish there’s a way to donate makeup just like how we can donate cloth and furnitures

Love your series and the one box in one box out method! That will definitely help me monitor what I order for delivery. Also, any unused makeup products can be donated at women organizations or even schools. The school I work at takes donations for when dances come around and underprivileged students have access to dress clothes, etc. Thanks for all your posts and motivation.
