you destiny stans are amazing. if you have to look up his info to confirm things then this was doxing. if the info wasn't available public through mike and you went out of the way and released it is still doxing. there is no excuse is if it is easy or difficult. just because it is easy to steal someone's identity doesn't make it not identity theft. just because someone is unconscious during a rape doesn't make you less of a rapist. that is just victim blaming and a weak excuse.

@@TheFreepie I would agree with you that it was very emotionally loaded, but all the "dirt" supported his claims that people had double-standards and that he was being unfairly targeted by certain people for various reasons, namely their dislike of his criticism of tankies and socialist ideas that he feels aren't supported by evidence. To be honest, the only problem I had was with his attack on Trihex. That seemed way over the top and lacking empathy.

I remember being sad Hasan and Steven broke up LULW I remember thinking, Destiny is wrong on socialism, I don't know exactly why, but I don't have time for that, Michael Brooks will teach him or some other lefty, he'll figure it out because he's rational and the rational belief leads you to socialism. Then their debate happened and I saw Michael gish gallop Andy the entire conversation and his fanboys actually defend him for that. I found out recently Michael believes in God by the way, and makes fun of people who call that irrational, just sayin. I just realized I went through the same experience as that alt-right kid that got pulled out of it by Destiny's debate with Lauren Southern except for me I got pulled out of the left after I realized they're all such bad faith actors. I'm still a socialist, or a social democrat who believes we need more workplace democracy, like David Pakman, but it's crystal clear how bad faith and delusional much of the Internet left is.

Seems like it’s partial doxing. Destiny’s defense was pretty bad too. He thinks there’s something wrong with warning the guy privately that he knows who he is and that he’ll tell people if the guy doesn’t stop lying about being a lawyer. He says the threatening to dox him. So wait, why is it a dox if he threatens it, but not when he actually does it? And how is threatening to dox someone worse than actually doing? All doxing is not the same. This dude’s identity apparently wasn’t well-hidden. Also, some people can face serious threats when they’re doxed-when that’s the case, doxing is a much more serious matter. I don’t know where the person Destiny “doxed” fits into that description because I don’t know anything about him. This whole conversation was pretty annoying.

I totally get Destiny's difficulty in defending himself. I'm chill, but when someone is being intensely difficult and unaware of it, I'll get frustrated. Then you're judged for being more aggressive in your defense. Before that point I walk away. Trying to convince people they are wrong by simply explaining it to them is a waste of time. You have to show them how they are right first in their current perspective and then lead them to the pieces they are missing. Figure out who has the larger view, as sometimes it'll be you and sometimes it's who you are talking to. Or a little bit of both. However, difficult or bad faith people will resist at every point. Also sometimes it's just cool to let it go if the gulf between perspectives are too wide.

Going back and watching old destiny debates because I'm kind of new to his content and one thing is very clear...people will argue anything simply because they don't like him no matter how dumb their claim is.

This term is very important & it framed his character in an entirely different light to use this term... I am a paralegal, I’m not someone with a law degree (or any college, for that matter), so it’s not like this is a highly technical call out here. How ridiculous.

The start of this seemed to have a defense for Mike from PA and then without skipping a beat telling destiny "Why should I defend you, you're a big boy".

I looked up Mike From PA's twitter account and there's a picture of him, and he has a picture of himself as the avatar. It doesn't look like he's attempting to hide his identity at all. This is a really frustrating argument as well, because it assumes that people who post publicly online and show their face aren't submitting themselves to be public figures. Also, as a side note, he has a quote from FDR about being kind and not being cruel, and then most of his posts are direct personal attacks towards strangers on the internet. Anyway, I think expecting anonymity as a business person is extremely questionable and shouldn't be allowed in a civil society (why should business people who affect other people's lives get to do it from the shadows?). I am fine with journalists or political activists using the internet to maintain anonymity to protect themselves, but if you're monetizing it your information should be public record.

I joined a Destiny support group because of his horrible pizza-take and In 'n Out denialism but after seeing him rationally and fairly stand up for himself these last few weeks I forgive him for that and have regained a lot of respect for him.
