This time I decided to fulfill my long-standing and seemingly impossible dream - to walk with elephants. But dreams come true in Chiang Mai!
I wanted to be exactly where these beautiful animals are not toys for tourists, but live a normal, free life. And I found such a place in the north of Thailand - Elephant Freedom Village.

Elephants are treated well here - tourists are not taken for rides on them or forced to work. You can walk with the elephants, feed them and of course swim together! The amount of emotions you get is incredible. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.
You can choose 1 of 3 types of programs:
- half a day (2000 thb)
- whole day (3000 thb)
- overnight option (4800 thb)
I chose the half-day option and in my opinion this is more than enough. And I definitely have a desire to come back here again!
If you are going on holiday to Thailand 2024, then this place should definitely become one of the points of your visit.
But by the way, Thailand is also beautiful in the off-season - there are practically no tourists, housing prices are much lower, and the weather is quite good.
