Depending on what you plan to do (and hopefully you've learned some of this in your class) one thing that Leth doesn't do, but can be of benefit, is to use more "nondestructive" editing techniques, if you need to backtrack and adjust something you did multiple steps back

That's why most people have a hard time ranking up. Speed is useless without spacial awareness and technique. Ideally, you would move at the maximum speed in which you can still hit the ball the way you intend. Practice, speed up a sliver, and practice again until you achieve consistency.

@@FRESHhitsss69 Idk why but personally I perform the best when I try to play fast and not patient, obv not platinum aggressive 100% of the time. But I just feel like if I don't play fast I am never in the right position to go for shots. It might be because I'm used to playing fast and thus position as if I'm playing fast instead of positioning for the patient play.

@@Eric-zz5ijplaying fast is not really a bad thing you just have to know how to do it right. In bronze to plat I would just focus on being in the right spot. Everyone in those ranks just wants to hit the ball. Be in the right spots and the ball will just roll to you.

Isn't it less about being 'fast' and more about being ready. So you're getting yourself into positions where you know the ball will be, so you can control that space. To the opposition it probably feels faster than it is.

If you have a duo regardless of comms, it is all about chemistry and getting to know their playstyle. If you are still hardstuck diamond then get a new duo. Or hop on fortnite.

Bro, I kid you not. I was playing 2v2 on blue team. We were up 4-1. One of the red team members was so toxic and blamming his teammate for everything. The toxic player got so upset, he started playing on blue team. Nothing new. Weve all seen that. But heres the twist. My original blue teammate started playing on the red team in the toxic players place. An my blue teammate went hard. He didnt just go on that side an block goals, he was driving the ball down the field trying to score in the blue net. We played the full 5 min, and i couldnt stop laughing. People do some funny stuff in RL

Just yesterday I was playing some rare comp 3s with two friends, two of the opponents just ragequit and left and the last one didn't wanna ff. We were at 5-0 with like 2 mins left so I told them I'm gonna join his team lmao Didn't comeback, buuut after the 2 minutes it was a 5-1 lol

I would love to have you randomly queue onto my team in D3 when we're playing super aggressive smurfs. I don't even know what actual diamond skill level is meant to be. Very controlled air dribbles seem to be something every other player can do.

2800 hours in since 2016. and i still cand airdribble consistently. and im getting worse and worse in the air. these days, the moment i get high in the air i lose all sense of depth and everything feels blurry and i get disoriented af. but when im on the ground its all good. and im not the type of player whos shy to go for aerial plays. im just not getting better at it anymore. im getting worse on leths ringsmaps aswell. grounddribbles is the only mechanic im improving at. at least my gamesense improves fast enough for me to stay in my rank. but i've been stuck in diamond for many years now. im 39 so maybe its the age catching up to me. or im just lacking in talent.

⁠@@MupprikSmurkeni have about the same amount of hours and have been playing since launch. Im about to be 42 and have been stuck in champ 1 for many seasons now in 3’s. Im not really great at any specific part of the game mechanic wise. I usually only ever play 3’s with my two friends and we do reasonable with each other. Im also champ 1 in 2’s which i play with randoms. Highest I’ve ever been is champ 2 in any playlist. I feel you on the feeling of getting worse. I just think new players and everyone is just getting so good at the game

I always assumed I would just naturally get better but there's a HUGE gap in learning aerial car control compared to everything else. I'm starting to feel I'm just never going to get there like a lot of players. Just feels like something isn't clicking. I watch videos of how others air dribble off the wall and it's so damn smooth.

@@Palaecro I feel you. Not far off your age. Hard stuck D2/D1. When I watch these videos I wish I could understand the yes/no thought process in his head. Like why push up and be aggressive sometimes but not others? Clearly you don't have to be insanely mechanical to get out of diamond (I don't feel I have the time to master directional air roll) but it requires some really good game sense. And I find game sense comes and goes depending on the day you are playing. One day it's a winning streak where everything's clicking, one day a losing streak, and I can't understand what exactly I'm doing right or wrong on a given day in order to stay consistent. Fortunately it is just a game. Frustrating though.

its so weird seeing leth just "vibing" and winning, it feels like my lobbys are so much better but i know its probably just me doing so many mistakes i dont notice or me just wanting tondo too much. Great video as always

Well he has the experience to know where to be to shutdown plays before they even happen. That’s my theory at least. I often see people make crazy aerial plays, and hit crazy flicks and passes, but leth seems to just be in the way. Every time he says “that could have been dangerous” I think he means it would be one of those seemingly uncounterable plays that we see all the time in diamond and champ

if you are first on defense. jump AT THE BALL, don't try to read the guy, don't go lower or higher. aim for the ball. Your job as first is to get a touch so your partner gets an easier read on the ball. It's kinda unnatural at first but try and go for ball. You'll notice the difference.

This is super helpful, im pretty new and i appreciate it!

For the first game, seems like you take quickchat the wrong way. Maybe because you don't interpret the plays as a low level would. First the "Close one!" after "missing" the flick for me it would be akin to "Hey good try!" Because at diamond very few people can actually carry and flick. Second, the "Oops" after the... doubtful aerial. We do mistakes all the time. I Whoops myself all the time not in a toxic way but just to say "hey, just a mistake, no biggie" IDK I did not see toxicity anywhere thre

Very confused about this game play idk if this is PC only ( I.e. cross platform turned off) but I’m bouncing between champ and d3. All my of games some I’m playing ( just got off 15 mins ago) one is flip resetting , air dribbling ( with good controlled touches) while leth is play some bots ! I don’t get it every road to ssl that gets to my rank it’s always like the sweats are blocked from the matchmaking. Anyone else or just me ?

Either their positioning prevents the clean mech play to begin with, or they just rank up too quickly to really see the full range on display at these ranks. Diamond is such a confusing time. Such a bizarre range of skills.

You may have to ramp up the number of games to get to SSL before the season ends. (Me trying to get more than one video a week 😅) Also, with so many people complaining how their diamond and plat games don't look like this could warrant a replay review series. Have viewers submit game replays from 3 consecutive games (so that you don't end up reviewing flukes) and do a holistic review of the skill more than a "here is what you could've done better and here are your mistakes." Try to get at why are people finding so many air dribbles and flip resets and other mechy plays in their lobby?

This is D3 on a new account? I’m D2-D3 in 2’s this season ( been mid-high C1 the past few seasons) and everyone I match against plays so much better than your opponents 😮

It's pretty crazy how different d3 in 2's is different in na, in europe (french player here) pretty much everyone can aerial and flick consistently, some can flip reset and double tap. ofc there's gonne be some misses here n there but i've saw some mistakes in this vid that i'd see maybe plats or d1 do in eu. Although the second and third 2's game looks a lot more like in eu where they're all a little bit more mechanical
