It does not, but I'm getting better at it at least. After a few hours of losing gun fights that I felt I should've won, I finally remembered there was a training room and tweaked my settings to reduce the aim assist. It's been a LOT more fun since.

As much as I'm enjoying no SBMM, I'm just not sure a shooter survives without it in 2024.

forgive for not knowing this, octane mentioned the new BMTH, is he a full on metalhead or just one of the normal people who got into BMTH cuz they are a massive band nowadays

70% of the time I'm having way too much fun (not talking about win or losses) but the other 30 is really frustrating. They need to fix alot of things. The most annoying for me other than hit detection and net code is bugged grenades; I have to press the button twice or thrice to even throw them! Also, even after I bought skins, I still can’t use them they are locked because I haven’t unlocked base skins. like what’s the point of even buying them and supporting them, I thought I don’t have to grind for it if I buy something.

They are not sweating but they are kinda stacking tho. However, their type of skill/advantage is probably 10% maybe 20% but after that the skill falls off. So even less skilled players can play weak lobbies and enjoy the game. Imo this is the best type of dynamic bc you enjoy your pb more than always being in the same lobby difficulty where that enjoyment never shows.

its funny because years ago, sbmm didn't matter because soo many players were literally just playing on their tv's, and the same controllers. Now your going up against pc players etc with thousands of dollars worth of equipment, lol. I don't really get too upset playing these days, it's fun, i don't really care if there's sbmm or not....but I guarantee people start complaining about it now haha... i can see why the content creators love it!

Dude, it does have freebase matchmaking up so I 25 on the built-in two player playlist so it doesn’t seem to be working any better than skill base matchmaking works on any other game and you’re all kind of hypocrite because when skill base matchmaking works or if it would work, then you would always be facing a team of players match your skills competition and a good fight The problem is it never works right in any game with never been used that because it’s a complex issue trying to match and then also because players try to circumvent skill base matchmaking because they’re bullies at heart and they just want to if they were actually competitive, they want skill base matchmaking I eat everybody to be exactly the same skill level is a good fight a really good fight when it happens in games like there’s Arena shooters where you get two completely equally match games and it comes down to you know the end of the game before you realize who’s going to win That’s the most fun ever without skill base matchmaking I said a guys that are really good. Can team up join the kill and just destroy a bunch of disorganized new spent don’t know what they’re doing and that’s not fun and it shouldn’t be fun for the guys doing it let alone the guys it’s better having it done to them, not fun at all the best I’ve ever seen in any arena shooter when you get to match games duking it out right to the last second of whatever kind of timer system they got going on

on my side it tends to involve me with 40/50 with a 4K/D and my team mates geting 10/20 while dying 50times lol

That is not true. Due to EOMM and a strict SBMM it is more of a rigged matchmaking. You know for a fact you'll lose 3-5 games to win another 2. I do exceptionally good in CoD and even with heavy SBMM I easily dominate lobbies. But we all started somewhere. There is no shortcut. If you're good you should be rewarded for being good. Not being put in a algorhythm that makes bad players think they're gods too 😂😂😂 These kids are fucking hilarious. SBMM makes people live in bubbles thinking they slay in CoD getting 20 kills a game. Then there's me with 115/11 kills on Shoothouse playing in Lobboes for top 10% players

If the skilled players are doing exceptional well like your self there is no reason to complain about SBMM & EOMM because skilled players will flourish in any match environment.

A player’s stats in an SBMM environment end up becoming meaningless because these algorithms force all players to regress to the mean to varying degrees based on an unknown algorithm, hence why our options as consumers are either to: a) do away with SBMM completely or b) get full transparency about the constant match rigging. Better players and players that improve should get the reward of stomping out casual lobbies filled with randoms. XDefiant exists because a large enough portion of the community has voiced against SBMM and EOMM. In any case, the lower-skilled players getting stomped out in lobbies ends up being a lesser probable outcome (for most matches) because skill levels are randomly distributed. The common denominator ends up being the player’s individual performance in all games which showcases a player’s true adaptability and skill (and not hidden MMR).

SBMM keeps you going in a circle where you never improve you shit on bots then go against sweats so you will lose then they give you bots again then sweats and the cycle repeats where as no SBMM lets you see your improvement and rewards you for getting better. SBMM should only be for people that have never played the game and after a point they should get paired with everyone. If your a star basketball player in highschool and your dunking on other high schoolers they don’t pair you against an NBA player cause your to good it should be no different in video games either get good or don’t play.

@rinehartbrent your points are invalid and heavily over-generalized. Saying the "majority of players are left disheartened" is not only false but as far from the truth as possible. Go off of solid facts and statistics. The player base can be put into a simple bell curve. So can all player bases. So in the bell curve, the "majority" of people are in the middle 80%. Which means they will all have good games, decent games, and bad games. There are the top and bottom 10% of the bell curve that will almost always have amazing games or terrible games. But you can't fix it to everyone and that's certainly not the "majority". I would heavily argue that the majority will be satisfied with no SBMM. COD's SBMM only puts you with people within the same 5 or 10% on the bell curve. Everything is intense and difficult and most people just want to relax and be able to have fun. If you don't like it, go back to COD. On top of all that, your comment is written like a college thesis and your second comment has quotations around it so those are likely not even your words but rather Chat GPT or a similar AI.
