They are both body buffs therefore they don't stack with each other, golden vow and commanders standard are area buffs so they won't stack with each other.​@@glitcher8839

Flame Grant Me will boost both the Black Flame damage AND the skill's physical damage. Howl, while offering a higher boost, is also less FP efficient and only boosts physical damage. It's better for pure-phys builds to run Howl, as common ashes tend to have less FP cost, unless it's one of the heavy hitters like Giant Hunt, Piercing Fang, or Phantom Slash.

I did a Guts run my first playthrough, my 2nd run was black flame incantations with banished knights halbard with black flame tornado. So much fun, I think for my next playthrough Ill do black flame but with the Godslayers Greatsword instead of the halbard.

Yeahh! I can't wait to see your experiments in the DLC.

Max Kung Fu Damage coming to a computer/phone screen near you

Blackflame is my favorite thing to use in elden ring lol, my favorite build has to be a sort of blackflame dancer i made, i have a preference for reapers so i used the grave scythe for it, but basically a grave scythe with sword dance(for a while at least), just proc it right before you plan to attack, once you get access to phantom slash, swap sword dance for phantom slash, the phantom you spawn will also have your blackflame buff so you always get an extra free hit of blackflame if you and the phantom both hit, and a total of 4 if you and the phanom both land your follow-up, its a very fun blackflame build.

Leveling dex gets more damage on the ash of war. Idk why it's like that, but with ur dex at 60 versus faith at 60, the damage difference is about 500-800, i believe that's without buffs

Nahh, maybe on the first hit of it where the weapon connects, but it's a flame art skill, the black flames portion scale with just Faith.

@dtwduuvaaall6865 Actually, the whole thing scales better with dex surprisingly dex just scales different on all weapons, but usually better. A scaling in dex, for example, is better than an A scaling in strength. The black flame portion, for some reason, scales with dex as well as landing you more dmg. Check a video by chrigt* or frownygaming they both give actually numbers and data.

You can script any of the single Godskin enemies/bosses (excluding duo) with a +5/6 bloodhounds fang, bleed grease, spiked tear and axe talisman. Sleep at the beginning, then three charged attacks will break the stance, crit and then sleep again off the get up from the crit. Then just rinse and repeat. You could technically do it with any weapons level with enough sleep pots but +6 is best cus it’s the most damage you can get from easy to pick up stones. 7s make it to complicated.

Honestly just used the godslayers greatsword on Radagon and Elden beast for fun because I had the minimum stats if I used one talisman.....it was the fastest Radagon and Elden beast fight I've ever had even more than a destined death build

anyone else still wish that the black flame buff would be applied to the sword for a bit after using the WA? also the black flame incantations are fucking rediculious for easy debuff aplication. ESSPESALLY when paired with the immolation equivalent.

Boring tactic but you could have gotten the Deaths Poker right from the start. You can cheese this bird or use holy pods. In your case cheese it. A plus 9 deaths poker trivializes the entire game. Which you can all get before fighting Godrick.

actually black flame does do fire damage, youre thinking of destined death, which does, in fact, do holy damage
