The positive of the Covid shit down was the absence of having to put makeup on everyday. Surprisingly, my “problem” skin became my most flattering asset. Once I stopped wearing makeup, I found myself more confident, and much less concerned about what people think. I became comfortable in my own skin, quite literally, and haven’t looked back!

Lord Jesus Christ is coming back everyone, please don’t worship celebrities and entertainment, focus on Him alone. I promise there’s more to life than money, partying, homosexuality and music. Hell is real, repent from sinning confess your sins and ask God to forgive you, I know He will if you’re sincere. Anyone who thinks the Name of Lord Jesus Christ is a joke, boldly mocks and scorns Him or takes pleasure in people who do is in for a big unpleasant surprise on judgement day IF they don’t repent and follow Lord Jesus Christ. Hell is very hot, people please repent! In the mighty name of Lord Jesus Christ, Amen 🙏💪✝️💜❤️✝️! Idolatry such as, Islam, Catholicism, Sangomaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Santa Clausism, Confucianism, New Age, Science, Evolution, halloweenism, Harry Potterism, Politics, Donald Trumpism, Easter Bunnyism and other religions/faiths that are outside Biblical Christianity lead to hell! Don’t believe them, believe the Almighty God the Father of Lord Jesus Christ, who begot Him. Our Creator, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is mighty, He doesn’t need a woman to beget a son, He is God. I choose to put my faith in a God who can do anything and everything, a God who has unlimited and infinite power to beget! So, it’s time to confess that Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord and to believe that He died and rose from the grave after three days and you shall be saved if you only obey Him by praying, worshipping, praising, reading the Bible and living holy and righteously according to the Bible. You have to endure until the end, carry your cross daily and build your relationship with God by following Lord Jesus daily until the end. You must never renounce your faith in The Lord Jesus Christ, there’s hell awaiting those who reject/deny Lord Jesus Christ and those who continue living sinfully, even the Christians who don’t want to repent will face the same fate, so please repent beloved people, in Lord Jesus Christ’s mighty and precious Name, Amen. ✝️❤️✝️

@@prettyandpetiteover50 I invest more time and money into skin care now, use lots of skin brightening serums. growth factors, peels, microneedling, retinol, etc. It is much more expensive to have even skin tone without foundation, but it is possible (and I had severe hyperpigmentation before). As a result, several years later, I have nothing to cover. Maybe you could start with tinted spf or skin friendly or mineral concealer and transition gradually. When I quit mineral foundation/powder first months were tough because I had lots of post acne, but eventually everything healed.

I wore makeup for decades, starting as a teenager to hide acne. But when the pandemic hit & I started working remotely, I stopped putting makeup on, & I literally could NOT believe the drastically improved quality of my skin- it was honestly shocking! Within about 4 weeks, I looked younger, and (after a pretty significant "purge", my acne was all but gone. Now, I do sometimes wear tinted moisturizer, but that's it- my skin looks & feels so much more fresh!

The problem with using tinted moisturizers and tinted sunscreens instead of foundation is 1- the tints are usually difficult to match fair/cool tones, and 2- they immediately settle into fine lines and creases on older faces which looks awful. I use makeup to cover dark undereye circles. Stopping makeup does not make dark undereye circles go away.

I do think the sunscreen in it helped through the years. I use bare minerals because it helps with the dewy sticky feeling of moisturizers and sunscreen. I've seen women with good skin who wear foundation or BB or CC creams and women with bad skin who wear nothing! I think it depends more on skincare, lifestyle and genes. What is your opinion about that? I often wear nothing on my skin and I don't notice it improves, but I think obvious foundation is unattractive on everyone. I do like a little bit of concealer here and there if I'm going out. My CC cream (I don't have foundation) has an spf of 20 and I think that helps to protect skin. The German dermatologist who invented BB creams in the 60s for her laser patients did us all a favour...if only they had become popular much sooner, they're much lighter and more beneficial than standard foundation, aren't they?

I never did like foundation and I’ve tried everything from liquid to powder to airbrush, etc. I spent $80 to have my “face done” for a special event recently and I hated it-it highlighted every crow’s feet wrinkle AND wrinkles I didn’t even know I had! I found out I was allergic to eyelash glue, too! Wrinkles and swollen red eyes-a lovely way to lose $80 and ruin an event. Since following you, I’m happy with my 60 yo bare face! Makeup is expensive! I put that $$ now into my skincare. PRP and Microneedling have transformed my skin, and I love your hylauronic serum! The most I do now is my eyebrows have thinned (over plucking in the 80’s!) so I use a natural looking powder to fill some spots and I use a good eyeliner. I’ll take dewey-looking skin over cakey, wrinkled looking skin - and it saves so much time in the morning! ;)

I stopped wearing foundation/blush/highlighter/contour years ago. The few areas I thought I needed to cover became less and less. Now I am blessed I don't need it. Years later, I am grateful - especially after watching this podcast. I did wear full on makeup for date nights, but commonly it was just mascara (blond eye lashes, lip (stick or gloss), and maybe eye shadow. I believe now I will just trash my foundation and stick to occasional tinted moisturizer. Thanks for the info (especially about washing brushes once a week).

I have never worn makeup. And people always mistake my age for being younger. But I think that it’s genetics. I was also from a culture that wearing makeup was looked down upon. And growing up I found that I felt very self-conscious about wearing makeup. As of people were looking at the makeup and NOT seeing me.

Love this video. It is rare to hear the message of no makeup at all being promoted. At the same time it's a lifestyle and a mindset that once you get into is very hard to get out of. We all wear makeup and I spend lots of time and money on face serums, creams, etc and use them religiously. My mom also has never done skincare. She just washes her face with water. No sunscreen. No face creams. Never been to a dermatologist. Also my diet and exercise is 1000x better than hers 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Dr R🧡 I think you know my opinion on this. The beauty foundation industry is a billion dollar business and is constantly coming out with a new foundation or concealer with names like, anti aging, ageless, serum it amazes me. When I take a client off of foundation and concealers their skin changes almost immediately. In my almost 40 years I feel foundation and concealers are one of the number one causes of acne and aging. I teach women everyday to stop covering up. Yes,” caked on”. I think women feel the pressure to look flawless or ageless and that is simply a unrealistic goal. As you said, they actually look older and their skin is so dull and damaged. I teach my clients to wear a separate sunscreen and not one added to make up or products. If women would just allow their skin to change and to become healthy they would be amazed. I see it every day ! Uncover your beauty and who you are. Dr R I love this video more then any you have done. I wish we could work together for one video! We would change lives. Have a blessed day Dr R and everyone. 🍑🙌🏻🧡Lisa

Some foundations and concealers are heavy full coverage and will settle in creases especially around the eyes. However, regardless of fantastic skin care routines some things such as dark circles and hyperpigmentation will show without some form of coverage. Having worked in cosmetics for years there are common sense sanitary practices that can be applied to prevent any infection, bacteria and allergens. They do have to pass F.D.A standards of safety. The above video could also apply to skincare products. I think going through COVID, we’ve all had a chance to experience makeup free look. 😁I do like the lighter glowy look that’s come into fashion. And you always need a healthy skin for any makeup to apply smoothly and look good..

@@babyamom2004 I have very dark circles( genetic) After applying your favorite under eye cream or moisturizer then letting it settle in, I find Dermablend concealer to have fantastic coverage without a lot of creasing. However apply with a very light hand. You only need a small amount and tap it on gently with a beauty blender or even your finger. Getting the correct shade is important as well, so go into stores that carry it if you can to see the true color.

Personally, I find makeup not to be a big deal. Wearing makeup for 6-8 hours on certain days, and then coming home and washing it off properly and going forward with a medical grade skincare regimen is fine. It's nice to get dolled up, and boosts your confidence. Plus, using Tret means my skin is often dry/irritated, so I find that a layer of high quality foundation really helps it to heal underneath. 90% of the time, I'm at home with nothing but vaseline on my face, so I really enjoy using makeup when I get the chance.

The route to looking good in your later years is all about good skincare ! I fully agree that in our later years the more make up products you put on your skin particularly fom 45yrs onwards it does make you look older. I use a good spf 50 day cream with hyaluronic acid with a vitamin C brightening serum , and at night a night cream with a good eye cream. On days when I feel like a bit of coverage I use a bb cream with a light dusting of powder , mascara and setting spray. DONE! takes me 5 minutes. its only on special occasions that I bring my foundation and concealer out. and thats only medium coverage. I'm 47 now and I dont want to be looking old and haggard before my time, so I've been taking the time to show my skin some love

I got really into Korean beauty long ago which changed how I looked at my skin. The majority of your makeup routine is skincare, and that's going to make the look. They usually use bb and cc creams which are lightweight and dewy, and are more like a glaze than a full foundation. And, just applying a primer and no makeup can enhance your pore look without being too heavy. For work, I usually wear mascara and eyeshadow on my brows since that hair is light, and maybe a lip tint. I only wear a dewy bb cream to reduce redness when needed. Everyone I know says how good my skin is, and nobody ever guesses I'm even close to my age lol.

I have never worn foundation or anything like that. Just mascara and a little eyeshadow every once in awhile. I recently starting trying tinted mineral sunscreen to avoid the white cast and help block some of the rays that contribute to hyperpigmentation. I hate the tint and feel like it takes the life from my skin. I’m also having a huge struggle with cleaning it off my face and neck at night. It’s like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. It blows my mind that people willingly put themselves through this their entire lives to wear makeup.

Exactly what i wanted to know. Thank you. I was about to spend another $60 on trying to nail down my correct foundation shade for summer use, but I was thinking, "wouldn't I do better to spend it on skin care products instead"? All my life thus far, I have not used foundation, but just last winter I started noticing red capillaries and blotchiness (age 47) in my face, and thought I might like to start using make up, as foundation formulas have improved since I first tried and hated them in the 80's.

If you were to die today, are you a 100% sure you will go to heaven? If no, here is what the bible says, (1) Romans 3:23 KJV [23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Q1. Do you know what Sin is? Sin is anything bad that we have done. Q2. Have you sinned before? Yes or No? (2) Revelation 21:8 KJV [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Because we have sinned, and God does not allow Sin into Heaven, the punishment is burning hell. What is the way to reconcile our peace and relationship with God? Q3. Do you know the Story of Jesus? (3) Romans 5:8 KJV [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus = God who lived up in Heaven, but he came down on earth and became a man like us, he lived for 33.5 years without committing any sin. Then there were certain people who were jealous and therefore framed him on phony charges, and crucified him. Then he was buried and resurrected on the third day; Now he lives in HEAVEN. Q4. Do you know why Jesus went through all this bloody mess for us? A4. As mentioned, our sin is the reason why we can’t go to heaven, and the only thing that can wash away our sin is the Blood of Jesus. (4) Romans 5:9 KJV [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. According to the bible, the only way for us to reconcile with God is through Christ Jesus’s blood, and not through any works that we do or merits we accumulate, such as water baptism, attending church, or any good thing that we do. The following verses clearly support this. (5) Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. (6) 2 Corinthians 7:10 KJV [10] For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. In order to get saved, repentance of one’s sin is needed to get saved, we need to be sorry, and repent, with conviction, that we are a wretched sinner. (7) Romans 10:9 KJV [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. If you truly do believe in everything you have heard in the gospel, ,I strongly suggest you to make a proclamation to GOD! You can say it to God in less than 15 seconds !Repeat after this simple prayer, to make sure you truly get saved. Remember repeating this prayer doesn't save you, it's you telling God you BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. Ok, here is the prayer : ‘Dear GOD, I know I am a sinner, as I repent, I put my faith, that Jesus is GOD, and that he died, buried and resurrected, so that his blood, can wash away my Sins. I put my faith in that alone to save me, not my good works. In Jesus’s holy name, I pray. Amen! Congratulations ! Now you are a child of God. Download /Buy a KJV bible (I highly suggest getting a hard copy bible , as one day, it will be illegal to buy, own or even have an online version of the bible) and search for youtube channel like REAL Bible Believers , Spencer Smith to help you grow , study dispensationalism to understand the bible ( How do we reconcile the verses in the New Testament that tell us that we need works to show our faith, and another that tells us that nothing that can take our salvation away? That's why we need to study biblical dispensationalism to rightly divide the word of God.( study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, 2 Timithy 2:15) (I recommend the dispensationalism video from Genesis to Revelations by Dr. Gene Kim, kzread.info/dash/bejne/eX1opdaedanef84.html) , join a bible believing church. God bless you brother/ sister ☺. See you in heaven one day!

Dr Rajani, your videos address questions that people ask as well as providing answers to questions many people don't ask yet the answers are so helpful. Several years ago, before photo shop, filters & injectables were widely available, I started working toward eliminating foods that might dull or otherwise make my skin look unhealthy or unattractive. Other than natural sugar is a common culprit, so are dairy products. The two are very commonly combined. I started by cutting down on those, tapering off as my habits changed. I have them occasionally, once a month at most. My skin looked so good after 90 days, I stopped wearing anything at all, on my skin, besides sunscreen. Along with this, making it my goal to drink 1 gallon of water every day, caused minor further improvement. Back then, I began using raw, local honey & table sugar to exfoliate. I do it in the shower. It does its job, then, is gone. This comment is already too long, my apologies. After 1 year of making further tweaks of habits, it was more comfortable to refrain from makeup than to use it. I still wear just sunscreen, the only makeup I wear is eyeliner, brow pomade & occasionally a little lipstick. I carry a small purse, all of the makeup I wear, fits into my purse, easily.

Try using minimal concealer only on dark/red or sun spots, then applying a light dusting of foundation POWDER and set with a good foundation setting spray. This tends to give a more natural and healthier look as opposed to using liquid/cream foundation all over the face which can be too mattifying and aging.

I came to this realization, actually, yesterday. I love my skincare, hate putting primer and foundation over it. I wear makeup when I go out, which is hardly, since I suffer from mobility issues. When I got home from an appointment yesterday, my skin looked horrible. The foundation was so slippery, that I could literally swipe my finger across, and see the skin underneath. My skin no longer looks nice with foundation, not like when I was younger. I do love my eye shadows. Every brand of foundation with the promise of making me looking poreless, sank into my pores. Airbrushed is only on photos that have been edited, or filtered. I like that idea of just going it without foundation. My skin looks better without it.

I am in a whole different world with makeup. I stopped wearing much makeup as I aged - I definitely noticed that it made the skin look worse. I have never been able to wear mascara - very itchy and ended up rubbing my eyes because of irritation. Same with eyeliner. ( I was a lane swimmer ) Because of my slanted, hooded eyes, I figured out in my teens that I could only wear eyeshadow to fake a line to make my eyes look more open. Nothing more. Over plucking my eyebrows is my biggest issue ( I used castor oil as you suggested and definitely saw more hairs growing !! ) However, my eyebrows have always been a problem because they curl - usually in the wrong direction. Now with curly eyebrows that are half white and half black, I am faced with a real challenge. I have to dye them every 2 weeks, trim the curly ones and fill them in. My granddaughter showed me how. But here is the biggest challenge -Vitiligo! I stopped any tanning after 17 because my colouring just did not suit it. I also thought I might care about premature aging ( this was in 1970 ) So I started using sunscreen as soon as it came out. Then when the Vitiligo showed up at age 30, my whole life changed. I spent every summer at our family cottage, right on the beach, with 4 kids and a granddaughter. Skirts, hats, long sleeves, sunglasses and a snorkeling suit for swimming and sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen, lol I used fake tanning, body makeup etc. because of the disfigurement. It was not fun. Now, at 69, I use gentle cleansers, creams with retinol and hyaluronic acid. Daytime is hyaluronic acid cream and sunscreen with some make up and concealer to cover up the brown spots left from Vitiligo ( end stage now ) and purple bags under my eyes - genetic, from my Mom. My skin looks pretty good for my age, but minimal make up is best. So I agree. I find too much make up as you age is not good. Less is more!! No point in any procedures to look younger - I have some sisters who are much younger than me ( 12 and 13 years younger ) who loved tanning, smoking and drinking. No point trying to look younger than them. Their skin does not look good. I think it would be insulting to them. I look good enough for 69.

Also my foundation has actually made my skin better/softer because it has hylaronic acid ^^ Note to add, because i use so little foundation i just wash it off with my face wash because i just absolutely hate how stripping double cleansing is.

I stopped wearing makeup at the beginning of the pandemic when I went wfh. Before I struggled with acne and hyperpigmentation so I felt I needed makeup to hide it. it took only a few weeks and my acne completely cleared (only one or two zits around my period) and my scars/hyperpigmentation began to fade. I started using vitamin c serum and that helped brighten my skin a lot. I also have found my pores appear smaller which was something I was trying to achieve with makeup. I don’t think I can ever go back to daily makeup because I have never felt as confident in my skin as I do now.
