I honestly thought I was losing my mind playing Ana. Seeing even YOU can’t out heal the damage makes me realize… it’s all blizzards fault 😂

@@kromatikal I have met it and play it also, all i can tell is, it is a huge buff since that 3 sec, If used in appropiate timing, It's overpower than before patch which already annoyingly hard to die. for ex. It's like before mauga use breath of hog to heal it's take time, but this buff made him like a nemesis form of rammatra. In sum, it is more OP on efficiency but less effective than before but still more OP mean Broken.

I've fought Ram as Pharah and hard focused him for a while 3min team fight. Everyone legit dies and he's the only one left standing with like 50hp. It's crazy

Yeah they went in the wrong direction, his kit is very feast or famine if the supports on the other team keep everyone up, he mostly needed help with vortex as it didn’t aid that much against mobile hero’s and his staff feels like it does nothing if the supports on the other team keep everyone up.

So what i’ve learned this patch is the best way to kill the tank is to wait for them to dive your backline, over extend past your spawn and up ur ass then use the 2 second window while they’re slept to find their ip address and ddos them

I know this feeds into the current narrative but this has honestly been my least favorite season of Overwatch 2. As mostly a casual player I cannot deal with Tracer/Pharah every other match and overtuned tanks freely diving me no matter how much I worry about my position.

The pharah "nerf" was like not enough? she's in pretty much every single game. the moment people start to lose, zioup, pharah is out and pilloning your team non stop. Not very fun to play.

and then lucio speed boosting everything around making it close to impossible to even reposition yourself. If you manage to get away from the tracer, here comes the tank with lucio to burst you down or finish you off. It's so annoying, and then we get called babies and everything under the sun for pointing out that this game is unbearable rn lol

Yes, even as a tank player it's ridiculous. We still play rock paper scissors > even more so because the only way to win is to shut down the raid boss tank. Counterswapwatch. Lovely as always.

Now not only do we run away like cockroaches, we get squished like them too.

i'm honestly glad that this is all unfolding the way that it is bc it's proving how the devs truly do not know what they're doing. Support may have been in a strong(viable lmao) state but they went about dethroning the role by overbuffing literally everything else. It went from "nothing ever dies" to "nothing ever dies" but this time it isn't the supports fault lmao. Like literally taking the supports out of the fight has always been the goal but now tanks can quite literally just raid boss themselves through entire teams solo

Most supports are useless now. Projectile dps can’t compete with hitscan at the moment. Now it’s just who has a better tank and which supports throw more heals at the tank while also dpsing

I legit thought imma come back to OW to play some Ana but after this video nahhh this patch is actually too bad

Ana is the hardest support to master. other supports are straight forward or give easy value. Ana has no mobility, her cooldowns are both over 10 seconds long, and her ult can't bail her out of a sticky situation. She's one of the hardest characters to play if you don't play her often and blizzard just hit her with another nerf. Gimme a break

imagine if there was a second tank, like an off tank to be able to peel and help supports. That would be crazy... Then the one tank wouldn't need buffs

The movement with bap at the end was nasty

I played 1 comp game as a support and I said never again will i touch comp until this patch is changed. We use 3 ults to kill a mauga and my team ignore the mercy res the mauga and we were back to square 1! fun game ;-;

Sounds like a massive teamwork issue. Tanks didn't get tanky to that point. Especially if you are saying they are ignoring a Mercy rez on what would be the frontline.

And you talking about countering 1 champ, totally disregarding the rest of the team comps.... Tanks are not only more tanky, the do a lot more damage, and blizz says it's better for the tanks so they can do more dmg against high hp target - because tanks will focus the other tank or r rather go kill squishies instead...? You saying tanks aren't tanky is really something!

Rein and Ram both got the best buffs and it was DEFINITELY on purpose. Its Megatron and Optimus Prime, they gotta sell the skins, duh

I hate it as a tank tbh. Feels like bad players can now get away with way more and on top of that feels like rock paper scissors like never before. I go ball, they go hog/mauga+sombra. I change to dva, they go zarya/ram etc. just feels like every game the enemy is constantly swapping to adapt to my picks , I’ve never really noticed it like this before 😂

Before the patch, just DPS, you can't save your tank. After the patch, just DPS, You can't save your DPS either. This patch, just DPS, you can't even save yourself.

They buff tank survivability, that's good but why do they also have good damage, and utility? its too much. Keep the survivability and ability to protect teammates, but remove some of their offensive power, please.

NO! This is coming from a dps player. Both you and blizzard don’t seem to understand the true purpose of tanks, and why they were better in OW1. No one would play a pure damage sponge. If anything, they should remove some survivability and add offensive power. But that wouldn’t work because this format NEEDS tanks to be raid bosses for them to be playable.

They need survivability, easiest way to do that is to lessen the effect of the dps passive from 20% down to 5%, and give them 50% less duration of any CC, nade, sleep, discord and so on. A tanks purpose is to hold a certain space - Payload, platforms, chokes! If you play a dive tank, you create space by taking focus from the backline, so your dps can push the frontline or take angles. You clearly don't know the purpose of the tank role!

@@masteryeom If you think tank is fun this way, you’re no better than the balance team. Nobody likes playing damage sponges that can’t dish it back out and that’s a fact. OW1 tanks had much more kill power but way less survivability and way more weaknesses. Giving tanks MORE passive value without having to do anything, then it’ll dumb down the game even more. OW1 had skill expression that actually mattered and tanks didn’t necessarily NEED passives to overcome the mounting pressure and lack of fun that OW2 tanking has. You proved that you’re a new gen player and that you don’t know what tanking is. Let alone what makes tanking fun.

Where did I say tank was more fun this way? You clearly didn't read things through! Less effect from the dps passive on tank will make them what? More tanky = More survivability! That alone will give tanks more to hit back with because they survive longer - A logic you fail to see! And again, a tanks role is to take or create space - When the tank do that, he gives his team, or most of all his dps the opportunity to do damage, damage that leads to kills, that is the dps role! And crying about OW1 and 6v6, when it's a long time ago they changed it to 5v5 has nothing to do with this, completely different game strategies due to 2 tanks per team vs 1 tank per team, and back in OW1, supports were the cannon fodder, why do you think supports are the way they are today! The main difference or problem with only 1 tank per team, is counterwatch! That's why tanks needs more survivability! i.e less effect from dps passive, and less effect from cc/aoe like nade, sleep, discord, they still need to be punished for their mistakes! I started playing online FPS when CS was released 2000, that makes me the old gen of players! I am gen X! You making assumptions just proves who you really are, a know nothing troll! Haven't played in a while and the 2 observations I've seen are 1: No one dies but everyone dies at the same time, 2: the "i need healing" spam are still strong

I’ll tell you why they did this - to put to rest Jeff’s silly “raid boss” tank nonsense concept. Once all this is proven out, they will begin plans to go to 6v6.

@@aeloh6921 It may seem hard to believe, but it makes sense. The data will clearly show it doesn’t work the way they’ve done it, the whole idea is flawed to start with. Two tanks just in the end still works better overall. This whole tank patch is partly internally political to fully implement the idea of one tank as best you could, but it’s only going to highlight the problems with it. With the hard data on the table, the justification for 6v6 again is much easier internally.

@@fractalelf7760 The biggest issue is that the way they are trying to balance the game in a way that fits 6v6 more then 5v5. They need to gut all those changes to make 5v5 work and fuse the tanks into the dps role or remove role queue and have role limits instead while also gutting all their changes. Execpt for kiri suzu change of coarse.

That tracer on the second game was insane.

This tank stuff is the worst thing I’ve ever experienced in overwatch like this has to be Joke or smh

This is not about you specifically but for the first time the gameplay of a game looks as miserable as it feels playing it

Yesterday I was playing a match against a Mauga and he was literally 1 hp and in the time it took me to reload my blaster, he was full hp.

I’m convinced the devs who do these “balance” patches have never ever played the game. A simple way to find out what players think about these patches are to do experimental patches or at the very least, ask t500 players/content creators to test it out PRIOR to release. Surely it’s not that hard. Why they’re so hell bent on making this game and their player base miserable is beyond me.

this patch is the worst for everyone, except those that enjoyed the counterswapping tank meta when it wasnt completely broken. for them, the game got a huge upgrade, cause that playstyle got gigabuffed. for the rest of us, its a total coinflip if the tank is going to pick dumb shit like winston and roadhog into a reaper bastion mauga

Ok so it isn’t just me going on a massive loss streak. Went from Diamond 2 to Diamond 5 in a day 😢

The game turned into 5v5 Dead by Daylight with four survivors and one killer on each team.

I main ana, bap, illari, and kiri. and I feel like I have no impact. I had a good winstreak climbing all through diamond to masters and I lost it in a day of straight losses. its not even close I'm getting rolled and smoked. but the wins I was climbing with before the patch were close and pretty fun.

I thought I was just playing like garbage (more than usual, anyway. I’m a zen main 😂) here recently when nothing was dying. I don’t pay attention to patches.

At this point I consider it impossible to please everyone. If one class has fun, it's at rthe cost of the others. But since tank is not popular, favoring tank at the cost of the others seems the best solution out of the 3. It's probably wisest to create an environment good for tank and support burt less enjoyable for dps, since they are most abundant anyway.

Overwatch 2 has finally turned into a 1v1 game with 8 spectators.

@@razrv3lc the fundamental design of the game was 6 v 6 and all heroes were designed with that in mind, 5 v 5 will never be superior to a well balanced 6 v 6 gameplay just buffing the one tank to compensate will never work

His fps in the top left is between like 240-260 but the video itself is probably just in 30 or 60fps

All they have to do is give us a second tank. 🤷 But they refuse to see reason, so we continue getting these absurd experiments.

New meta just ignore tank and just raw dog the supports. It's a fun season for zen so, there's that. Lol

Zen is one of the few supports that feel impactful now except the way they nerfed discord a while back so you can’t just continually apply it to the same target sucks. Now Zarya just bubbles herself every time discord touches her and invalidates you lmao
