#2 very accurate- I already support them in their independence and I am actually a role model for them as to what it means to not have to be apologetic for putting one’s self first. They feel very obligated to take care of everyone whereas I don’t. On the other hand they can come off as abrupt, insensitive, arrogant and callous maybe because of the pressure they feel to take care of others.
