That is such a beautiful tractor, I drove the 165 with Frontloader in 1987 for hauling Straw Bales.

Hi olly we’ve got a Massey ferguson 135 and restored it ourselves and I think the next tractor you should restore should be a 35 or te20 as we have one of them

I recon a massey 178 would look good along with the 135 2 beautiful tractors together.

Interesting to see the price on the restoration, it looks to be a top job, I have had the good fortune to look round their workshop whilst working up there and they seem a great bunch of people. I agree I think the 65 is nice in its working clothes a nice little Fergie is what you want next 🙂

When I was a boy, the tractor to have was a fordson super major. A big machine in its time

It will now serve for the next 50 years and longer than ANY new tractor.

I use a Massey Fergus 165 on my small stable ,it has never been refurbished just kept clean and parts replaced as nevessary,also kept in agarage.

Massey 698t or 699 or a 399 would be a good restoration project

You should get a 2wd ford 7610 to run the wrapper

The 135 looks great - the 65 would be well worth restoring, a true British great!

You should never mow ragewort as the smell leaves which means the animals can recognise that if poisonous an more likely to eat it

If you are looking to buy and restore a classic, I'd like to see a 500 series Massey. Granted the cabs rot out a lot but failing that I'd like to see a 200 series like a 265

How about buying & doing up a IH 674 or 955.

Hi Olly, for your next classic I would suggest ether an MF35 or more from the 100-series to complement the 135. It would be great to get the full set.

Olly! you’re making your 40+ year old subscribers feel old….when you say the JD 6300 is a classic… how can that be? It still has most of its paint and kind of functioning properly…. Could go fault free for another 20years if looked after! Ahhhh may see where you’re coming from 😀

A lovely little Grey Ferguson should most definitely get some limelight should it not? :) I do have one for sale here in Norfolk and it has a Norfolk reg (LNG). Needs an engine rebuild and cosmetics. I also restore them for a living.

It's great to have the 135 back Olly. It looks really just like when it came out of the factory. Also I'm not too sure, but maybe a John Deere 4840 might be nice, or maybe a John Deere 4040, but I think they might be a bit hard to get, or a bit too big. (Could you still let me know what you think of them Olly , thanks)
