You gotta push from your gut. Don't use your throat to make the sound and pretend that there's a pencil between your teeth. Try to produce sounds above the pencil. Experiment with pitch and producing an even sound. It's not always about volume!

This tightness you feel in the bottom of your throat when you do that is where all the magic happens. Experiment with that and eventually, it will click. ALSO. DRINK LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER. CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. Not enough to make yourself sick, obviously but trying to fry scream with a dry throat will not only sound terrible but can also damage your throat and nobody wants that.
